This large room has a smooth, hewn stone floor. Double stone doors open to the east and west, with steep stairs leading up into the fortress in the northwest and northeast corners. Doors to two latrines stand on the north wall. Along the southern wall, four archery slits open to tundra, but each is closed with wooden shutters to keep the cold from creeping in. The southwest corner has a large steel lever, and the southeast corner has a large hand-crank wheel attached to a massive chain that disappears into the floor.

It looks like a drilling grounds for soldiers, it is good that the night is not over yet ...

Ann gives Moonlight a thumbs-up and pads silently to stand in front of one of the doors, ready to burst in and start killing as soon as the fireball fades.

She has both sawtooth sabers drawn. Once Ann gets a good view of the room, she'd like to ◆ Seek (Perception +20) to spot any potential threats to keeping this fight contained: Are there alternative exits? Ways to call for help besides just shouting where they stand?


Sien checks the chain, he realizes that it is used to open hidden passage outside. It was most likely used to counterattack when the fortress was sieged, by pulling the lever the stone blocks drop down and then someone can pull them back up.

The Assasinss goes for the door, the lean it open and begin to sneak in when Moonlight casts a spell

This large room feels cramped thanks to the multiple three tiered bunks filling most of the space, creating a maze. Each bunk has three built-in locked drawers below the bottom bunk with a ladder leading to the upper bunks. Compact weapon racks hang within easy reach of anyone sleeping in the beds.

As soon as she sees into the room, Ann reports to those behind her: "Stairs down to our left."
