That was hardly a surprise. Your trog you're hitting had simply used a makeshift shield to block your attack. And you bust his shield into pieces.
Everyone else, we do block initiative. Chestman went first, so he has the lead in initiative. Remember, I do get a turn.

Add 1 to those damage rolls; Vesica has Lingering Performance, so her IC lasts an additional 2 rounds.
With the battle seemingly over, TT checks the condition of the elf family. She tells her comrades (and the orcs) how many cure light wounds spells she's able to cast, trying to figure out who needs treatment first.
I think we actually DIDN'T get a full night's rest before leaving the village, because we got up to deal with a troglodyte invasion in the temple of Merikka, but I may be mistaken about that. If we got rest, TT can cast 2 CLW spells; if not, just 1.
The roguish bard then casts detect magic and starts looting the dead trogs. She also surreptitiously moves close enough to the elves and orcs to discern if any of them have magic auras about them.
Naïlo lets Tee-Tee know that he can contribute to the healing if it is needed. Then goes about seeing he can find his errant arrows. While muttering to himself about useless Orks.
