So... turns out, I never got around to buying a ranged weapon for Hskomoro. And these guys are immune to mind-affecting.

I'm going to "protect Daenerija", probably, and see if Red comes after me or Plague Hunter.

My apologies for disappearing. I thought I messaged everyone, but it seems a few groups were missed. Work very suddenly junked out on me and I couldn’t get online for awhile. Still can’t get online regularly for at least another week or so, and even then I have no idea if the breaks at my new posting will be enough to get back into gaming.

Berix would not have thrown down his sword. I'm sorry, apparently there was an error with the number of actions, I may have confused the editions. I suggest to retcon 11 damage for the shot I made on the first turn, when I sheathed my sword, moved/took out my bow and fired an arrow (obviously I didn't shoot).

Regarding a bow, remember if you didn't already know: Get an otherwise-baseline masterwork composite bow, then give it the Adaptive enchantment!

Going that far probably isn't necessary for Hskomoro. 2PP or 700gp gives a +3 Str bow, while your adaptive bow would cost 3400gp for... two extra damage on a backup weapon.


Could be useful to hand off to a high Str character without a ranged weapon in the future, but that is pricey for such a limited use. Swarmbane clasp is usually more relevant.

My Cleric did make a similar choice: She bought an adamantine longsword partly with the expectation of lending it out to others - and to date, she has had at least one occasion to do so!

Anybody who can't beat an existing roll would do best to roll to aid another (unless there's some way a sheer 'number of successes' can accomplish something, I suppose).

EDIT: Also found out why I hadn't bought a bow for Hskomoro yet. Turns out, he's not proficient with them.

What are the trapezoidal shapes on the map? Like the one directly across from the door, or the one past Green?

Also, Hskomoro will obviously AoO Green if he decides to not step away.


I believe they are ladders on the flipmat, but they were not included in the scenario. I wasn't able to block them out like the unused doors.

I thought maybe ladders, but didn't see anything in the room description. Are those squares blocking terrain, or not?


They are not mentioned in the scenario and do not exist.

Does Akkina have step up to follow the 5ft step? They have composite longbows and rapiers.

No. I wasn't sure if Red took a shot while next to Akkina or after the 5ft. I wasn't sure if they were shooting or trying to hit via the Lunge feat with a melee weapon or something.

Basically you're saying Red 5 ft. stepped, shot his bow and opened the door yes?

1- 5ft step 2- Standard action attack with longbow 3- Move action to open the door.

Red wasn't able to draw his rapier after moving to take his invisible shot, and then his flank was denied, forcing him to change plans.

Are the squared-off (possibly barrel-like?) shapes anything, or are they too just artifacts of the map pack? One of them could affect our positioning.
