okay, thanks for the info! Just making sure I'm not just holding out hope for nothing
Desseer Arnalc
Desseer's plan is to kill some people with poison to frame another Craterlord. Then use Sow Thoughts to escalate. Then use more Sow Thoughts on another Craterlord to escalate further. Then go to the bird watcher and/or information broker Craterlords to get the locations on the other Craterlords. Once chaos has started erupting, we kill off each Craterlord. Before chaos erupts, another crew gathers the people we agreed to save.
GM Wolf
Desseer do you have poison? Or will you be purchasing at in town?
So it seems like you need to do bluff and stealth checks to poison them and make it look like it's a poisoning of another Crater Lord then so so of thoughts would make it worse.
Who are you delegating to gather the people we agreed to save.
Also in these events you will be making the CratorLord you are working for not attacked/safe. Basically, you are putting him in charge to be your partner for owning the town.

@GM Wolf we were discussing some stuff in PMs, once we have that sorted out I can have a backstory posted pretty shortly
GM Wolf
Your superior crafting skills allow you to create simple magic items.
Prerequisites: 5 ranks in any Craft or Profession skill.
Benefit: Choose one Craft or Profession skill in which you possess at least 5 ranks. You receive a +2 bonus on your chosen Craft or Profession skill. Ranks in your chosen skill count as your caster level for the purposes of qualifying for the Craft Magic Arms and Armor and Craft Wondrous Item feats. You can create magic items using these feats, substituting your ranks in the chosen skill for your total caster level. You must use the chosen skill for the check to create the item. The DC to create the item still increases for any necessary spell requirements (see the magic item creation rules in Magic Items). You cannot use this feat to create any spell-trigger or spell-activation item.
Normal: Only spellcasters can qualify for the Craft Magic Arms and Armor and Craft Wondrous Item feats.

was it decided if we are trading super powers for mythic?
Kislum Thrallmaster
No this game is going forward. I am finally in a better frame of headspace. Lost my muse, dealing with work, grieving...
Okay so is there anything else I need to approve to bring in the four new players?!
I need to respond to Thoric's post still! Doing that now!
For me it’s the following:
My wish is to give myself SR, though you can decide the formula for thatCan I swap my mount for an Alip(CR 3) since I don’t think she would need a mounts as she can Shapechange
Can I have a Caocadaemon for my improved familiar( it NE and so am I)
Is our cohort a gestalt like us? Mine would be level 5 because of wicked leader and a turned vampire so is she gestalt level 5 or normal level 5
Oh yeah and superpowers if it’s still happening I was hoping for some sort of either undead control ability like the mummy lords undead mastery
Thorin Spellsplitter
I swapped my mount for +10ft movement speed. 30ft now!
Desseer Arnalc
1) Desseer do you have poison? Or will you be purchasing at in town?
2) So it seems like you need to do bluff and stealth checks to poison them and make it look like it's a poisoning of another Crater Lord then so so of thoughts would make it worse.
3) Who are you delegating to gather the people we agreed to save.
4) Also in these events you will be making the CratorLord you are working for not attacked/safe. Basically, you are putting him in charge to be your partner for owning the town.
1) The plan is to get it from the Guild District. I will not be purchasing it.
2) I was planning on finding the peeps and using Beguiling Gift to get them to poison themselves. And then, yes, Sow Thoughts on Craterlord Klevin.
3) I was thinking to look for volunteers instead of assigning.
4) He will be in charge of running the town. I plan to inform him that he will be running the town for me.
As always, I am very open to input and preferences from others.

was it decided if we are trading super powers for mythic?
It was decided that we would keep both. You all start at Mythic 1. Tier 1? Let me know the correct terms.
Also you gain a super power.
Present list of super powers:
Aura of healing
telepathy
Oh dear goodness I see many of you have been taking liberties. This is in regards changing the specified perks.
1. If you don't want a mount that is fine, you don't have one.
2. You don't have to take any of the perks or you may just select the ones who want.
3. The perks were never allowed to be adjusted before, though allowances likely have happened that I don't remember about. Newest rendition: I spoke with a player and they wanted to have a thematic stronger mount. A triceratops as opposed to the other dinosaurs. They are a bit stronger and I allowed him to remove 3 of his first 7 perks for this adjustment. If you would like to do something similar with your mount or familiar, please get it authorized.
4. I can't wait to have you all in the game. ;)

I am not sure if you are targeting me but really the only “adjustment” I have made is with the mount.
The wish has always been up to DM approval and from what I have seen SR doesn’t seem to be outlandish.
A cacodaemon is on the official list of improved familiars and is the familiar for NE casters so as an NE caster it should be allowed. I was just asking because they have a soul gem ability that some DMs don’t like and so some people ban them. I would gladly take an imp or quasit if you do ban cacodaemons( maybe you misunderstood cause I misspelled cacodaemon in my previous post?)
And didn’t you let Skarbrand have a half succubus bard 3 which(while he doesn’t list the CR of) would be CR 3 as a follower instead of a mount? I assume it’s instead of a mount since he even put his imp(another official improved familiar) on his list but no mount. Plus it would be too strong to be a follower and he is asking about his cohort. And you also allow thorin to swap it out for movement speed.
I am not saying those choices are bad since they do make sense and fulfill the role of a mount for their character, provide buff to movement speed and increasing damage. An allip with its touch of insanity debuffing mental defenses would fulfill the same role of support for me
Kislum Thrallmaster
Also 90% sure the new players are still waiting for the Cohort clarification. Specifically how they are built
GM Wolf
Perk: 8 - gain a familiar or animal companion,
This does not give you an improved familiar, you may take the appropriate feat to gain the improved familiar or sacrifice 3 of your other perks from 1 to 7 to gain this instead.
Excellent observations Klslum!
It seems that many players just went with the improved familiar without asking. Is there a level limit to it as well? If you are 5th level, then... etc.?
-----
Wish:
Spell Resistance 7 + ½ HD + best mental ability score modifier.
Does that seem to your liking?
-----
I may have given Thorin the bonus on his movement speed but don't remember that, thus I am retracting it and using my previous stance:
Pick a mount!
-----
Cohort clarification on how they should be built... finding previous post...
Everyone gets two cohorts and your swarm of followers.
From memory: You Create a 5th level gestalt cohort with a +2 CR template.
Skarbrand: Lillend: Half succubus is a variable CR adjustment. So right now it is just a +1, but once she has 5 HD the CR increases.
She is one of his two cohorts.
Looking through cohorts so far I see:
Gestalt 5th level, 5th level with a +2 CR template,
So you choose from those two options.
Your two cohorts have to be two levels below you. They are Gestalt and gain a +2 template.
Followers do not gain these bonuses. Standard procedure for them.
Use baseline Leadership feat rules for determining a cohorts' and followers' gear, which uses the NPC wealth by level table instead of the PC wealth by level table. That would make a (heroic) 5th level cohort have 3,450 gold worth of gear. 1st level followers would each have 390 gp worth of gear, 2nd level followers would each have 780 gold worth of gear, 3rd level followers would have 1,650 gp worth of gear, 4th level followers would have 2,400 gp worth of gear, 5th level followers would have 3,450 gold worth of gear, 6th level followers would have 4,650 gp worth of gear.
Ability score generation:
The heroic ability array typical heroic NPCs use: 15, 14, 13, 12, 10, 8
Also: For the cohort same and a +2 to two ability scores.

Is there a certain kind of limiter on powers? I know in another post you used x-men as an example, however the power list in x-men is extremely extensive from your typical super strength all the way up to destroying reality and creating a new one. Obviously I'm not looking for anything game breaking just wondering what is considered too powerful.

Then can I give up the familiar and mount to make the SR 11 + 1/2HD + best ability mod? Since I don’t think she would need either
For my cohort, could I say she is a lvl5 vampire raised by me? So she would have a dominate monster cast on her to make her obey me. It’s part of the create spawn ability. If not I could just make a normal gestalt 5 which would be fine too
As for my super power could I go with either:
1. Mummy lords undead mastery: standard action, command undead within 50ft(will negates), intelligent undead get a new save everyday and mindless undead serve till destroyed, 6 X HD
2. Animate dead and command undead as a spell like ability
3. Aura of desecration : a radius of 50ft around me is treated as if under the unhallow spell with my body as a focus, swift(?) action to suppress or activate
4. The undead bloodline arcana(so I have basically all of them)

Also can I have like an umbrella so I don’t have to stand in sunlight, most of my spells don’t need components so I think I should be able to hold it. Sunlight wouldn’t destroy instantly on the second round like normal vampires but it would still suck to not have some covering.

No you can only take away from familiar/mount to add to the other. So I am giving the option to sacrifice your mount to make your familiar into an improved familiar. Or Sacrifice your familiar to make your mount a little stronger. Though you also have to sacrifice two more perks.

Use it all: your cohort is a 5th level gestalt with a +2 CR Template (Vampire)
All those seem reasonable, I am going to assume you want to go with your first pick. Adding it to the list.

It will have to be a really big umbrella, generally speaking it would not help you per se. Do you have the darkness spell?
I believe the darkness spell with an umbrella would be enough.

Ok so I will have a Pterosaur, Pteranodon mount(CR 3 and large so I should be able to ride it)
For my familiar, I will just have a Compsognathus which is a normal familiar that gives +4 init for its bonus
SR would be 25: 7+3(1/2 HD)+15(Cha Mod)
And undead mastery for the superpower
I do have darkness 3/day as a spell like and deeper darkness 1/day. I also have 7 MP for wild arcana so I can cast darkness or other spells to escape sunlight. I also have Umbral shield up to 18 times a day which lets be negate the harmful effects of light for up to 1 minute at a time. I should be ok unless the game exclusively takes place in the day and in an open field.
Ok so I have an umbrella that can cast darkness on

@GM Wolf I sent a pm with my super power idea, let me know what you think or if need to change it
Thorin Spellsplitter
Looks like I don’t have a super power. I’d go with:
Rune-Bound Perception (Su)
Prerequisite: Wearing armor etched with Thorin’s runes.
Effect: While wearing rune-etched armor or gauntlets, Thorin gains constant True Sight and Detect Magic.
Flavor: The runes hum softly with the truths of the world. Glamours, enchantments, and false forms cannot deceive his gaze: to the Runecrafter, all things are as they were truly forged.
Otherwise regeneration if allowed. Wisdom instead of Cha? Also max 1/2 level. Only works when wearing armor, as it comes from his runes, not from anything intrinsic.
I’d lean towards the former as someone else already has regeneration.

Cohort done so everything's ready just waiting to start
Stats done with Pt buy and Hp is average instead of rolled.
Lvl 5 Npcs start with 2,400gp so i bought a ring of protection +1

Her parents were also exceptional in their own right, both PhD holders in chemistry and physics respectively. As such they understood her desire to learn more and they indulged her with books, tests and advanced lessons to help her dip her feet into the fields of science.
Initially, they planned for her to be homeschooled. They could certainly teach her grade school subjects easily and would be better equipped to answer any questions she could think of. She had other plans. She wanted to go to school like the rest of her peers. An odd choice some might say but she was insistent. Her parent’s relented.
She entered kindergarten then private primary school. School life was easy, at least the academic portion. She was identified for the gifted program but that wasn’t as much of a challenge as she expected. She joined every academic Olympiad and additional test that was offered. That part was easy.
Socialising was more difficult. Not terribly so of course since she was extremely helpful in class and out of class for her classmates. She had some trouble relating to her more normal classmates at first but like all challenges she would overcome them. Earning good will by helping others then identifying common interests to strike up conversations.
She would split her attention between social media and her work, which was a fun time for her. Smart as she is, she was still a child. One to whom social media was an endless well of entertainment. So there was something that she and her classmates had in common.
She would go on like this for a while, living her life to the fullest. With her parents' help, and with the endless free lessons on YouTube, she would so far outpace even her gifted program classmates. Did it make her less popular? Sadly yes as the green eyed monster is present even in children but she did still have quite the circle of friends around her.
She would attend her first university lecture at 10, only as a curious observer of course, but it only served to show her she still had much to learn. She attended high school at 12, 2 years earlier than normal, which posed some problems for her social life. She was treated more as a novelty to her classmates then a shocking fascination as she kept up with them.
She would attend Oxford university at the tender age of 16. Her bachelor’s were in physics and she would prove to be quite the stellar student. Something her peers didn’t quite appreciate. Sadly, as people grew, so did their envy.
So she focused energy mostly on studies.
She completed her studies at 20, earning first class honours and she decided to continue her studies in physics. However, something odd began happening. Her limbs felt off, just slightly. They would occasionally feel stiffer than normal, just a little weaker than normal. She thought nothing of it at first.
Unfortunately, by her 21st birthday, she received the bad news. She had Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis or ALS. There was no known cure and the disease would slowly eat away at her motor functions. Her doctors could only slow the disease down with treatments.
She tried to keep her life going as normally as possible. She did succeed in the sense she still went to school, still made progress in her studies and would earn her masters without issue. She wanted to do her PhD since she wanted to make some discoveries of her own.
The University and her parents were sympathetic to her condition and her desire so she was allowed to continue her studies at the university. She would experience more and more symptoms of her illness. The first significant effect was her losing control of her limbs as they slowly wasted away. She needed the use of a speech to text device to write her dissertation and would soon need the use of a speech device to present her dissertation.
While her motor functions were weakening, she surprisingly didn’t lose her mental capacity. If anything, her mind was sharpening to be able to come up with ways to mitigate the worst of her symptoms. She lost the use of her arms first, her speech became slurred and even her legs would weaken. It was progressing, slowly and gradually but that was perhaps the worst part
The mental toll it took on her was immense. She sometimes envied the others who would slowly lose their minds through the disease. At least they wouldn’t suffer as she was suffering. She was beginning to feel more trapped in her own body, losing her motor functions while her mind was still as sharp as ever. It was a different kind of agony compared to what others would go through and it was so much worse to her.
Her parents showed her many other cases of ALS in an effort to encourage her but she had read all of them years ago. Based on her own estimates, she would likely be one of the ‘lucky’ few to live for more than a decade after her diagnosis. After all, she had access to treatments that others could not afford. Namely the Neurochip.
While she pretended not to notice it, the world was changing rapidly and business conglomerates were slowly gaining more and more power. As such, some began developing never before seen technology. The chip was one of them. It was developed for people like her who had sharp minds but crippled bodies. Her mind was a valued resource these companies wished to use to push their own agendas. So she was given the finest version of the chip when it came out.
It was incredible. The internet was now accessible to her with a thought. She could access all the information she would need to do her research. She could even simulate experiments to test her research, through the combination of her own intelligence and the chip's computing power. Her favourite part though was the gaming aspect of it.
She had always enjoyed games though she rarely found the time for it especially after her illness. But now she could multitask, use the chip to both game and research at the same time. She still had to work for the benefit of the company who maintained and improved her chip but honestly that was a small price to pay. Besides, unlike many of the company’s ordinary employees, she was not so easily replaced.
While gaming was a great hobby for her, she truly took a liking to it when the so-called dive technology was released. That technology would allow her to not just see the game interface in her mind's eye, but literally feel like she was experiencing the game in real life.
Her main favourite though was Yggdrasil. Why? Because she could choose to be like herself. She could become something that wasn’t a genius cursed with a crippled body. While magic was the main draw of the game, as with most RPGs, she didn’t quite see the appease for it. Perhaps it was because the typical mage with their Low physical ability and strong minds made her think of who she once was. Perhaps it was because she never found the idea of manipulating the natural world with her mind as too much different from what her actual job was. No, her fantasy was something else.
Her fantasy was always to be big and strong. In her own life she was never a very physical person and even when she did work out she never got muscular. After her illness, she looks more like an emaciated twisted child than a woman. So she chose to be a trox, a race which was big and strong. It wasn’t subtle but it was fun for her.
In the game, she could run faster than most athletes in real life, feel the air brush against her virtual body. When she swung her sword, she could experience the momentum and the resistance of the opponents who tried to parry her. The enhancements of her chip likely only deepened her immersion.
Of course, her in game body did have some rather glaring problems. The first was because since she decided she wanted to be as big as possible, most of the in-game items were too small for her body. So to alleviate this, she put some effort into becoming adequate at crafting to make weapons and armor for her body. She made her weapon, karsis, to be heavier than a weapon of its size should be just so she can enjoy the weight of something heavy in her arms. Her armor was also crafted to be slightly heavier than it should be just to feel it across her body.
She also got another guild mate to make a specially designed ring for her. Of course, the ring was to boost her defenses because the second problem is her build was easy to hit because of her size. More importantly though, the ring had an image of her family etched into it. A picture of them at her 18th birthday. When life was so much simpler and when she was at her prime. Just an in game reminder of the happiness she wished to emulate in game.
And she would find her happiness through the game's combat system. Just the experience of being able to move around with such speed and with such force was exhilarating. It had been years since she could even move under her own power so when the game tricked her brain into believing she was running, slashing and wrestling with enemies, she basked in every moment of it.
It was kind of annoying that her size and monstrous appearance made her quite the notable target for other players. Especially since killing heteromorphs didn’t impose the same penalties as killing humanoid races but that was a small obstacle. She would always return anyway and she was more than willing to spend her considerable wealth to buy her enjoyment.
While others may call her playstyle crude and simplistic, she didn’t view it as such. After all, in game intelligence just meant the game system would guide you and give you hints to reach objectives. She rarely needed any prompting and the only problems she encountered that she couldn’t solve were the ones where the game required a higher intelligence score to see parts of the puzzle. It hardly mattered though, that wasn’t what she was actually here for anyway.
She would spend her spare time in game, creating and managing her personal NPC. She knew roughly the downsides of her build so she would create a personal supporter who could improve her power and effectiveness. Sure she could rely on other players to provide such support but she was always the self-sufficient one and would only call upon her guild members if necessary.
And so that was how Maria and her in game persona, RARGHG, would progress through the game for years. All the way till the game would announce its closure after more than a decade. As anticipated, her condition was stable and she would likely live for a long time with current medicine. So she would treasure the last hours in Yggdrasil, not leaving until the game kick her out. Only it never did and when the time had come and gone, she felt something she had never felt in a long time. She could actually move her body.
Wow I actually managed to write a full story for her, 30 full paragraphs. :)
Tildr: Maria was born a genius who completed her education early and would enter university at 16. As she is undertaking Masters though, she gets diagnosed with ALS. She pushes on completed her PhD and then does research work wanting to contribute to human knowledge. She gets a brain chip that lets her use the internet without the movement dependent technology she used to use and gets hired at a company to do physics research. She gets sucked into dive technology gaming due to it letting her feel like she is moving and chooses to be a big ass brute to make the most of this feeling( also because since she can do quantum physics calculations in her head already magic just seems like her irl work to her). She joins a guild and spends her time just fighting, killing and dying to get her thrill. She didn’t want to leave the game so she stayed till the server closed and then she got transferred to her trox body. She is SUPER EXCITED about being able to move and do stuff without technological help now

1 - extra trait- wicked leader
Everyone seems to have taken wicked leader and she would be like a ruthless mercenary captain(also I think a huge trox would be more terrifying warlord than king)
2 - extra feat - iron will
3 - extra +2 to an ability score: Charisma(utility)
4 - gain a mount CR 3 or below: skip this since the only thing she can probably ride on would he gargantuan so nothing here
5 - gain a crafting feat: craft magic arms and weapons(need this to reduce cost of weapon by 5k so I can buy a cloak of resistance 2)
6 - gain a wish: How much SR/DR could you give me for this?
7 - gain a magical ring no more than 8,000 gp (You must write the description, abilities, and background of the ring in your crunch as well) - ring of protection +2 with a picture of her family on it
8 - gain a familiar or animal companion: a greensting scorpion. It can easily hide on her body and provide a init bonus which I need to kill people with
9 - gain a super power: how much fast healing/regeneration can I get with this? Or More DR/- would be nice.
10 - gain another 'Special' from another class, it cannot be a Special above 5th level: paladin’s divine grace to shore up my saves
For my cohort I will probably make a brownfur transmuter 6//cleric or oracle 6 as like a buffer template undecided for now. I will make the changes for everything except wish and superpower

I have my animal companion, mount and Cohort in my profile now.
Though i was looking and was wondering if could reduce how many perks i have to give up if i take down a lot of the bonuses it comes with such as higher HD, bab and additional feats to make it follow the animal companion class feature (found the stat block for large triceratops companion) the only difference it looks like is that the size bonus for large is applied again to make it huge

More accurately where are you starting? I am assuming in the Guild of Seeds of Slaughter. If not either send me a private message or make a spoiler. I have NPCs that will guide you in the guild house.
I will point out that SR gained from templates tends to be 11+CR.
I see what you are saying Desseer. It might be best to keep with the standard, so let's change it to 11 +CR.

1 - extra trait- wicked leader
Everyone seems to have taken wicked leader and she would be like a ruthless mercenary captain(also I think a huge trox would be more terrifying warlord than king)2 - extra feat - iron will
3 - extra +2 to an ability score: Charisma(utility)
6. You could get a vest of DR 5/ (your choice) I believe for the wish with no curses. Spell Resistance would give you a lot of curses unless you get creative. It is a standard wish with minor allowances.
9. We are not doubling any super powers. Regeneration and fast healing have been covered. You might be able to get some DR 15/magic, DR 10/silver(or pick different material), or DR (Half of Con modifier)/ -. If you go with this super then you should change your wish.
10. Divine grace is a solid option.

I feel you might be missing some very important words. Please lay out what you are meaning.
I'm picking up that it might be better for me to have Desseer be more decisive up front. So I will start doing that. That said, that does not mean that I am closed to input. This is merely for the sake of trying to prevent option paralysis.
Excellent!!!

Mmmm, I will take DR 5/lawful then for my wish, so I have DR 5/lawful and DR 1/- from my class.
Could I have the celerity mutant power from the mutant template? I am making my cohort a mutant and saw this power that would be pretty useful to me. If not I will take regen 4/lawful weapons to keep in line with my DR
https://aonprd.com/MonsterTemplates.aspx?ItemName=Mutant
Celerity (Ex): As a swift action, the mutant gains the benefits of haste for 1 round. This ability can be used once every 1d4 rounds. The mutant gains a +2 bonus on Initiative checks.

Ok just to confirm my CR is 8(5 from class’s levels and 3 from template) right? Assuming gestalt isn’t counted in my CR
I am fine with starting in the guild hall as well, the justification from my I haven’t shown up yet could just be that I was in asleep in my coffin or something

so when I asked to have the triceratops I had not seen the triceratops companion stats. the first example is what a cr8 triceratops is. at cr 8 the triceratops has 17 HD which is a lot higher health, saves, BAB, Feats and Skills.
after I created my mout stats I found the triceratops animal companion stats and compared them. when looking at them when the 7th level size up to large happens the triceratops gains a +8 str, -2 dex and +4 Con as well as +3 natural armor bonus and the Powerful Charge ability. I noticed based on stats that the huge Cr8 triceratops had doubled that plus added 4 additional feats, 8 HD, 8 skill points, 6 BAB, 4 Fort, 4 Ref, 2 Will and a Trample Ability.
I was wondering if instead of all those benefits if I could have 1 or 2 of my perks back instead of losing all 3 to have an extremely powerful mount and just having a larger than normal mount instead

Traditionally, our CR is equal to our level, despite the additions. For example, Desseer's (effective) CR is 7. I imagine that would be true across the board for all PCs (CR 7). In the same way, while it doesn't come up for my cohort, his CR would be 5.

Done with my cohort, mainly a buffer and healer. I intend to have her just follow me around everywhere so she can cast her bull strength and other buffs each combat
RARGHG
I am kind of lazy to change all my weapon dmg and to hit but its basically add 3 to hit; and either add 4 or 6(depending on if its a normal attack or overhand chop) dmg when i am buffed
Anyway once GM approves my super power, please also tell me where i can start. In character, probably in the guild house, maybe in like a training area testing out my new body. I would probably also have my cohort with me

Changed my SR to 18 to fit with a CR of 7. Looked over my sheet and everything should be up to date now
