Myriana
Myriana saw the doubt in Kenyu's expression as Myriana made her proposition and realized she needed more. She then put a few things together and reconsidered how much of an issue this might be. She felt a dawning dread as she made a gesture to wait a minute and flew straight up in the air to get a better view of the town and realized just how bad it was! it seemed like nearly half of it was either burning, wrecked, or seemed to have something happening! "W-w-what DID THEY LEAVE ME WITH NYAAAAAAA!!!!!"
Dropping back down to where Kenyu was Myriana said, "You have a poinyat nya. I have a disaster to deal with! You canya take them, for nyaow, if they are willinyag to go nya provided they are returnyaed onyace thinyags have settled downya. I expect you to work with me though to get thinyags unyader conuatrol here nya." She looked towards where their base was and said, "Please meet there," she indicated the location of the base, "onyace you are ready nya anyad if you have anyaone able to help with fires nya please senyad them inya a hurry nya."

RARGHG
RARGHG fails to get out of the way in time but the fire is warded away by the Protection from energy spell. RARGHG will grin and chitter to herself.
RARGHG will chase after the dragon, covering 140ft as a full round action and then using sudden charge as a swift action to catch up with the dragon and cut into it with her Scythe
Sudden charge: 1d20 + 30 ⇒ (18) + 30 = 48 [hit]
damage: 6d6 + 2d6 + 53 ⇒ (4, 4, 6, 2, 3, 2) + (4, 1) + 53 = 79
attack of opportunity(if it flies away): 1d20 + 29 ⇒ (7) + 29 = 36[hit]
damage: 6d6 + 2d6 + 53 ⇒ (6, 5, 6, 6, 4, 6) + (2, 3) + 53 = 91
Midnight Weaver
Midnight will pipe up and say, “The town is a disaster and one that will need much correction before it is liveable again. Your instinct to leave it with survivors in tow to a safer location is sound, Kenyu. But Myriana, I am afraid there is something that I will require Kenyu’s help with and she will not be able to assist with the town’s reconstruction.” Midnight turns to Kenyu and says, “There is a important religious location somewhere in Cinder and I believe you would be interested it uncovering it with me. I intend to use it to communicate with my Goddess and your holy nature could be useful in helping me in this regard. If you do this with me, you would be helping improve relations between our Guilds and…” Midnight racks her brain to come up with something to offer Kenyu in exchange before saying, “You can keep any civilians you extract who wish to stay under your protection.”
Kenyu Evians
Kenyu will hear both Myriana and Midnight out and her attention will be caught by the mention of Midnight trying to contact Desna. Kenyu’s interest is peaked as she too wishes to know if there would be gods willing to help out the mortal world. This field trip with Midnight will be the perfect for her purposes. Of course it could easily be the other guild’s way of distracting her but in this case, the prospect is intriguing enough to be worth the risk.
Kenyu will say, “I am willing to assist you Midnight with this pursuit for the divine. It interests me as well. However, the Evacuation of the civilians will have to be completed first before I can assist you. Myriana, I am willing to take the civilians to my guild house where my own followers will care for them along with my guild mates. They will be well cared for and you can focus on the recovery of the town that your guildmates destroyed. While I assist midnight, I will send a message to one of my close friends who also got transported to this world with me. She can assist you, though I warn you that she is not quite as nice as I am. But I believe she will get the job done. As for the civilians, once the reconstruction is complete, I will give them the choice to return though if they do so is their choice, not mine. I will send her to those coordinates when she has arrived”
the friend in this case is my second character. Kenyu wouldn’t want to purposely leave Myriana hanging when she needs aid so sending someone she knows is capable would be a good compromise here.
Kislum Thrallmaster
Kislum rolls in the air, avoiding the bulk of the dragons’s breath weapon. The flames that do catch her are negated by her protection spell.
Kislum will fly after the dragon at full speed catching up to it just as RARGHG and the dragons make their moves[turn just spent flying]

The Emberdream Sanctuary
Far below the war-torn town, deeper even than the sewers dare reach, there are cracks in the world where heat breathes.
The tunnels narrow into jagged volcanic vents—natural chimneys where the earth exhales. The air shimmers with heat distortion. Sulfur burns the throat. The walls pulse faintly with dull red light, like the slow heartbeat of something buried far beneath.
And yet… there are signs this is not untouched.
Carvings.
Not chiseled cleanly, but etched in flowing, wandering lines—like someone traced constellations from memory onto the stone. They spiral upward, guiding those who follow them, never in a straight path, always curving… always wandering.
The deeper you go, the quieter it becomes.
Not silent—never silent—but softened. The roar of magma dulls. The crackle of heat fades. As though something is gently bending reality, making space for something else.
But movement becomes… unreliable.
Paths subtly shift when not observed.
Players may “arrive” somewhere slightly different than intended.
Footsteps echo before they’re taken.
A group of three amorphous creatures resemble a golden-hued jellyfish that floats through the air, fleshy tentacles dangling down in a line. They fly with surprising speed, 40 feet per move. Easily 120 feet out though they don't have to stay to the path...

The Hidden Vault of Starlight
A vast cavern, impossibly wide for the space it occupies.
Above, the ceiling is split open—not to the sky, but to something else. A shimmering veil stretches across it, like dark water reflecting a night full of stars that should not exist beneath the earth.
Rivers of magma flow along the edges of the chamber, but they give off no heat here—only light. Their glow reflects upward, mingling with the false stars above, creating the illusion of standing between two skies.
Stone platforms rise like islands in a molten sea, connected by narrow, winding paths. Each platform holds something:
A broken astrolabe, still faintly spinning.
Charred bedrolls—pilgrims who never left.
Offerings: feathers, journals, maps, small tokens of journeys taken and unfinished.
At the center stands a simple altar—not grand, not imposing.
Just a smooth stone slab beneath the “sky,” marked with a three-winged butterfly: the symbol of Desna.
The Dream That Should Not Be Here
This place exists because someone refused to let Desna be shut out.
Long ago—perhaps during the first demonic incursions—a wandering priest, oracle, or dreamer found this place. In defiance of the choking, earthbound darkness, they carved a sanctuary not of stone… but of belief.
Where there was fire, they imagined starlight.
Where there was confinement, they dreamed of open skies.
And Desna answered—not fully, not freely—but enough.
This cavern is a thin place, where the Dimension of Dreams bleeds into the material world.
The Guardian Presence
The temple is not abandoned.
Something drifts here.
A being of soft, luminous wings—barely visible unless caught in the corner of the eye. It leaves trails like falling stardust that evaporate into embers before touching the ground.
It could be:
A dream spirit
A weakened azata servant of Desna
Or the fragmented echo of the original priest’s soul
It does not speak in words.
Instead, it shares visions:
A sky full of stars… suddenly going dark
A butterfly caught in a web of burning chains
The town above, seen from far away… already half swallowed by shadow
Temple Effects & Mechanics
This place should feel mechanically different:
While inside the sanctuary:
Fire damage is reduced or transformed into radiant/force-like warmth
Sleep, dream, and teleportation magic are strengthened
Fear effects are dulled, as if hope lingers here unnaturally
But:
Each minute spent here risks slipping into waking dreams
Players may see illusions that feel true
Resting here restores more… but may cost clarity (visions, cryptic messages, or temporary madness)
The Hook
The sanctuary is failing.
The “stars” above flicker. Occasionally one goes out.
Each time:
The magma brightens
The heat grows more oppressive
The dream fades slightly
Something is poisoning the dream from below—or worse…
Something from the Abyss has realized this place exists and is trying to invade it through the dream itself.
Possible Objectives
Rekindle the sanctuary by offering memories of travel, hope, or freedom
Protect the dream from invading nightmare-creatures
Recover a lost relic of Desna hidden deeper in the vents
Decide whether to seal the place (losing it forever) or strengthen it (risking greater attention from demons)
If you want, I can turn this into a full dungeon crawl—with dream-based enemies, shifting terrain, and a boss like a “Nightmare Warden” trying to corrupt Desna’s domain.
Myriana
Knowing she needed the help and had little else she could do Myriana nodded in agreement with Midnight and Kenyu and said, "I would like them all to returnya, at least to see how thinyags have chanyaged, at some poinyat so they canya make anya inyaformed decisionya. We canya discuss that in more detail later though nya."
Giving the pair a nod Myriana said, "I nyaeed to work nya, I have a city to cleanya up nya." She started to rise higher as she said, "Good luck nya, anyad donya't d anyaythinyag I wouldnya't do," in a rather suggestive tone.
___
Myriana made her qay quickly to where Iris was, she needed the witch to help her, keep her grounded, and work through the issues in the city. When she arrived Myriana flew straight through the hideout to the bedroom looking for Iris.
Midnight Weaver
Midnight watches the Jellyfish like creatures move and wonders what they are. She also tries to recall if they have any connections to Desna or if they simply are creatures who just moved in here
I am not sure if we are supposed to fight these things. I will roll initiative as well as the two knowledge checks. You can disregard the initiative check if the creatures don’t take any hostile action against us or if she realises they are connected to Desna
Initiative: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (2) + 10 = 12

Will: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (12) + 16 = 28[success]
RARGHG grins as she absorbs the blows, her natural defences and Kislum’s ablative barrier mitigating a considerable amount of damage. She shrugs off the dragon’s Frightful presence, smirking as she says, “I don’t scare so easily, Lizard. Die!”. RARGHG brings her scythe down on the dragon thrice.

Kenyu Evians
Kenyu will nod at Myriana and smile as she says, “Of course, you can discuss it with me or my compatriot when she arrives. I know where to find you don’t worry. Good luck on the town’s reconstruction. I hope you will be able to restore it soon so that the remaining townsfolk can live their lives normally again.”
Kenyu will spend the next day aiding in the evacuation with Draken, evacuating all the injured, women and children who wish to join her. Soon after she learns of the location of the caverns from Midnight and she will join her on the search for the temple of Desna.
Spotting the amorous jellyfish and seeing Midnight study them, Kenyu grants midnight some of her power, sharing her Inspiring example with her(meaning she gets a +15 to her knowledge checks now)
However, Kenyu takes a different approach, she calls out to the jellyfish like beings with her supernatural voice, “Hello my amorous friends, my companion and I are looking for a temple, a shrine to a goddess. Do you know of such a place and could you bring us there?”
Kenyu’s superpower allows her words to be understood by all beings so she should be able to communicate with these things and request they do stuff. I will roll both diplomacy and animal handling GM, you can take whichever is more appropriate
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 55 ⇒ (17) + 55 = 72
Handle animal: 1d20 + 40 ⇒ (9) + 40 = 49

Desseer flies the two of them to the water obelisk outside of town and await John.
Kristrille Iris
Myrianna finds her contemplating her spell book. She even pulled out her portable cauldron and was working on something when she flew into the room.
Myriana
Myriana wanted to pounce on Iris right then for comfort so she could think through what to do but that was never a wise thing when a mage of any kind was working with a cauldron and spell books so she instead landed and walked up to Iris and waited for her lover to pull her attention away from what she was doing.
Once Iris seemed to be ready Myriana said, "Deseer-san gave me the city but he didnya't tell me that half of it was wrecked nya. In addition there are fires and possibly other issues to deal with nyaow! I nyaeed your help nya, we nyaeed to assess the damage and get thinyags under conyatrol nya. We should find our knyaight too nya sinyace he[s mroe familiar with the city nya."
