Question: Is it just the characters that are showing nerves about the swimming, or the players also?
If it is standard practice for the GM to cause mechanical consequences of dice rolls made even if the GM didn't ask for one, then I need to rethink my normal behavior of throwing out skill rolls in order to guide my role-play and event narration.
But if it is just characters showing nervousness about doing things that they aren't good at, then that is great and fine.

Good one, yes! I am still trying to figure out how Plane of Air is a job. Maybe Bitty talks to society scholars about it?
Speaking of backgrounds, I am trying to figure out what Barak's background is. It could be the same as Bitty (Savior of Air, a legacy background from PFS PF1 play) since Barak will need Charisma because he will be a fighter with the multi-class dedication for Wyrmblessed sorcerer. But I could also do something else. I just can't figure out what. I need either strength or charisma out of the background.
(Barak is Bitty's twin brother, another Sylph gnome with a dragon tail and a gnome flickmace.)

A few days ago I created another Gnome PFS character too. This one is Lore Oracle - So, ADHD Gnome :P
