Hi there... level 7 scholar (rogue) here...

![]() |

Hey, looking to get on the wait list as this is the only 7+ game on Paizo. I signed up for the King of Thorns, forgetting that I'd already played it. So there's a spot open for 7-8 if someone wants to take my spot from this game.

![]() |

Sadly I've already played King in Thorns on Teja.

![]() |

I misunderstood and thought that there was room for another player. I signed up on rpg chronicles and can't seem to withdraw my sign up. Apologies for the inconvenience.

![]() |

I'll go ahead and do the same in case there are som no shows. Please delete my entry if you need to.

cmlobue |

I have just added the >Slides< for this game. Please put your token and initiative and perception modifiers in (and note if you're using a token other than the board avatar).
Please also fill out the >Sign-In Sheet< if you have not already.
Game starts officially on March 6, but feel free to get acquainted in the Gameplay thread before then.

I am registered on Paizo’s google sheets and I have not yet put myself on rpg chronicles and I find that there is no more space.

Hm... the signin sheet doesn't match well with the spreadsheet. Let's see what I can work out.
Othello Varese, Eithirim Navarre, Astrid Gertasdottir and Teja Khellekdottir are signed up on both. No problems there.
There is one person in the sign in sheet with no name and a madcap email address. And one Watery person on the spreadsheet but no matching entry here. If you are the same person, please let me know.
Anjo Aroh waitlisted themselves but also filled out the sign in sheet. That entry has been deleted to make room for Fin-thir, and it doesn't look like there will be an opening (but check back next week).

1. Quinoline makes two greater darkvision elixirs (lasts for 24 hours), and two olfactory obfuscators (lasts for 8 hours) every day, and she uses one of each to get darkvision and to substitute for bathing, respectively. The other is up for grabs.
2. GM, forgive me if I'm stepping on toes, but it loooks like we're 10, 10, 9, 7, 7, 7, which is 6+6+4+2+2+2 = 22 CP and high tier. This means the 7s will get a level bump and are eligible for Mentor Boons. Quinoline has the Radiant Oath one (extra HP).
3. I will have two glyphs for extra Hero Points for the lower level characters. Alphabetically, 1d3 ⇒ 3 1d2 ⇒ 1 Fin-thir and Teja. Sorry, Othello.

![]() |

Not to worry. I have a glyph for Othello. I haven't gotten around to updating Astrid's header and profile but I'll get her level 10 stats up this weekend.
Astrid also has Rugged Mentor (Horizon Hunters) for the level 7s
While working with less experienced Pathfinder allies, you provide important insights that keep your less experienced
colleagues safe from harm. For any PCs benefiting from a Level Bump and whose levels are lower than yours, you increase the
Level Bump’s modifier to saving throws to 2.
Normal: A Level Bump increases a PC’s saving throw modifiers by 1.
Special: A PC can only benefit from two mentor boons.

![]() |

I've never played with a level bump before. Is it pretty much a +1 to any d20 rolls? How does the hp bonus work?

cmlobue |

Mentorship and PC Level Bumps
To provide low level players a more fun and fair experience, PCs whose level equals the adventure’s base level (such as a 3rd-level PC playing in a Level 3–6 scenario) gain a temporary boost when playing in the higher level range called a level bump to represent the higher-level PCs’ mentorship and support.Increase every DC the PC has by 1.
Increase the attack modifiers, attack damage, spell damage, saving throw modifiers, skill modifiers, Perception modifiers, and AC of the PC by 1.
Increase the Hit Point totals of the PC by 10 or by 10%, whichever is higher.

What does the extra radiant oath boon do for hp?

![]() |

It's an extra 12 HP, on top of what you'd get otherwise (which I believe is 10% or 10 HP, whichever is greater). So 22 extra max HP with the boon, 10 extra max HP without.

![]() |

I forgot to mention earlier that I have one GM glyph. I'll give that extra hero point to Teja Khellekdottir. I'll take a Moderate healing potion as my school item. I also have (Convention Hero-Advanced) the underlying idea for this scenario came from a creative and enthusiastic audience at an adventure design panel at PaizoCon. You can slot this special boon only while playing a game at a convention. If you do, You begin the adventure with one additional Hero Point so I'll start with an extra hero point.

![]() |

Quinoline already gave one to Teja - and the rules prohibit starting with 3.
Othello, the other low tier character, didn't get one.

![]() |

Oops looks I gave one to Othello earlier. I missed my own post yesterday when I was scrolling through the discussion posts.

![]() |

"Please, all help is welcome. If you know of anything else that can help us, we will be eternally grateful, just like if you need something from us, we are your team."
Diplomacy 1d20+15+2+2
Aid Only gets a +1 circumstance bonus on a success or +2 on a critical success. Also circumstance bonuses do not stack. So you would only get one +1 not +2+2.

cmlobue |

I think I owe you a hero point now. Quinoline can have it, for being subject to myriad alien influences.

cmlobue |

The scenario specifically says "Each PC can attempt two skill checks." It feels to me like Glad Hand should consume one of them. It won't matter here because you have already succeeded even if I don't count Quinoline's last roll (post to follow), but glad-handing an angry mob seems... counterintuitive.

"Be Quiet!" says Teja. "We were led here by dreams... and lady luck has been on our side the whole way. I am no priest, but do you not think we are here for a reason? Let us deal with the problems within. Yes there are dangers, but we are better equipped to handle them than you."
religion: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (17) + 9 = 26

cmlobue |

It occurs to me that I owe you some hero points. Alphabetically, excluding Quinoline who already got one...
1d5 + 1d4 ⇒ (1) + (2) = 3

Outpost is ending in a few days, and there's a chance we will not be done by then. I will be reporting our table this weekend so everyone who provides an email address on the sign-in sheet will be eligible for one of the 50 prize vouchers Paizo has donated. I'll be assuming max reputation for now, but they will edit it if it turns out you don't meet the success conditions. You also won't get a chronicle until we finish.

cmlobue |

Thank you all for playing. I will have chronicle sheets ready by the end of the day. If you want your downtime activity listed, post it here. You received all rewards and there are no changes to reporting, so please check what is posted on the Paizo website for accuracy.
FYI, you critically failed three different Recall Knowledge checks, in case you were wondering why none of the monsters were behaving like you expetced.

cmlobue |

Chronicles are >HERE<. Please let me know if there are any issues.

day job: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (3) + 13 = 16 failed 16sp

![]() |

Mine looks great - thanks for running!

![]() |

Yeap, looks good. Many thanks. Lots of pretty tough fights in this one.

![]() |

Looks good. Thanks for the game everyone.

I know the campaign is over, but I forgot that I needed to make a Crafting check for my Downtime.
Crafting greater eagle eye elixirs (DC 27)
Crafting: 1d20 + 22 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 22 + 2 = 37
Critical Success, 8 gp/day.
