Hmmm, I'm in a couple other games with him. I checked his page, he hasn't posted in any games since the twelfth. I'll drop him a line in discord and inqure.
You could cut the rope immediately— didn’t know if you wanted to make another 200’ section perfectly knotted. We can retcon that.
I considered asking if we could, at least long enough to see if I actually had rope in Kunala's pack. But I don't like to retcon that much and folks had posted already. Let's play the hand you dealt and see what comes of it.
If a player or mount wants to enter unnoticed, post a stealth roll.
This will be a push your luck game. As soon as a player/mount is detected, all characters inside will auto win initiative. If one undetected character inside attacks, all characters inside get a surprise round and we go to initiative. Last time I rolled in stealth order leaving Maff out.
All six orcs face the door in a single line of chairs behind a large table 20, inside the door.
Antonio and Tacitus enter the building unobserved. No take take 10 inside but Tacitus takes 1 to stay hidden -- last map used with a few modifications Kunala stays hidden outside the building, but lacks line of sight to any orcs.
You have Tacitus going in the building with Antonio, but Tacitus said he snuck up behind Kunala.
Tacitus Freeling wrote:
Tacitus does a quick dismount off of Maff, leaving him behind for this sneak up, before sneaking up behind Kunala and readying for Antonio's signal.
and Kunala was outside as you noted.
Kunala wrote:
Pike-decorated, flaming-blade in hand, Kunala moves cautiously toward the doors. Looking at the others for a moment, making sure they were all ready, "We'll use the doors as a choke point. Once they come to us, Antonio can attack from the rear. Any questions?"
since were not in initiative yet, Kunala will take 10(13) on stealth moving towards the front doors
Was it Tacitus' intent to go in the building or help spring the attack from outside the door?
Edit Just looked at the map, you have Antonio entering the building the same side of the orcs as the door, not behind them. I thought the idea was he slipped in behind them and we were going to open the door, drawing them to us and he would surprise them from the rear.
I didn’t know if Antonio wanted to risk getting surrounded in the back after a surprise round. I guess you can position yourselves outside and let Antonio pass his surprise round in the back.

True, I assumed he'd wait until they were fully committed at the door, then sneak. Either way, I will wait on my next action to see what he wants to do, since it's not polite to presume.
Male Human Rogue (Unchained, Swashbuckler) L2 | AC19 (T14F15) CMD16 | HP 17/17 | Saves F1R7W-2 | Percep +2 | Init: +4 | Status: OK
My understanding of the plan is for me to wait until the outside team has attacked and drawn attention before sneak attacking from inside.
I think that if things get too hot for me inside, I can always dive out the window again acrobatically.

this was my understanding as well, I assumed that you went around to the back door, or at least came in through one of the doors to the left of where Maff is parked on the map.
A move action with escape artist DC10 will get Antonio through the window. He took 10 to get in, cant take ten to get out. At the moment it wont provoke, but worst case would provoke from two adjacent to wall.
Hey all, I'm planning on running at least a short game. I'm not sure what yet, but if you're interested and want a chance to help with building the campaign, then here's the link: Interest check Thread
I'm planning on keeping this thread open for a couple of weeks to give people a chance to hop in and join the discussion. Once I know where things are going, I'll get things fleshed out and get everything I need together before opening up a recruitment thread.
I see no reason the AoO that was parried does not trigger an AoO during your movement.
So you get an AoO for the AoO triggered by your parry from the orcs AoO. Yep, it is confusing.
And these combats show the amazing value of parry and riposte.
I think I understand. This is my first time playing a character who Parry's and Riposte's. Please let me know if you see anything I need to do differently.
Antonio dispatches an orc. The orcs are all staggered and one attacks Erme and one flank attacks Antonio as the other one just moves within the room.
It appears, Kunala moved close to Maff not a orc :(
Sorry, about that, apparently I didn't pay good attention to the map, in those situations feel free to retcon him to attack the right thing. If that is not your preference, let me know and I'll retcon. I just would rather not waste the round.
Actually I mistyped—Kunala got an orc finished off.
Cool, When I saw the map it looked like I'd attacked Maff, so I'm pretty sure I screwed up not blowing up the map. Thanks for covering for me. I'll try and pay better attention to the images you have on there :)
Okay, so if I am remembering this right, we were to be paid 1000 gp peice to escort the caravan, and we took reincarnating Drektan as our payment instead. Does that mean we get 5000-6000 back?
If I remember correctly, we spent the 5,000 gp. before Antonio joined us. So, it's a five-way split for 1,000 gp. not a six-way split for 833.33 gp. Or did Antonio not get paid in the other game?
I don't care either way, I just want to double check before I start spending gold.
Just a heads up, In the morning I'm taking a friend to the nearest 'City' (Columbus Ohio) for an out-patient procedure. So I will not be posting at my regular time. I'll be up later tomorrow than normal and should be able to get any posting done before I head to bed.
So far numbers on the Cragson Mines map:
#1 ore processing building

#3 office,
#4 smelter
#5 Kitchen, mess hall
#6 stone cottage
#7 blacksmith
#8 barn
#9 warehouse
#10 store room
#11
#12
#13 tavern
#14 entrance to mine
The tactical disadvantage of descending a rope into a large room will make this difficult as those acting before others in the rope will have limited options and the climb action is fraction of your movement.
With the knots it will be possible to lock your feet and have two hands free, but concentration will be needed to cast any spell on rope.
Also feel free to order yourselves on the rope from 1 (erme) to 5
The orcs attack missing Kunala and Erme as Kunala gets another vicious riposte in. The orc scout drops his crossbow and runs down the south passage to 3
Fun! We have two orcs, yellow and red. I'm assuming Kunala hit 'red' since yellow is too far away.
Did Red or Yellow drop his crossbow and run away? Or did both?
If yellow is fleeing, was he dumb enough to near Kunala for an AOO?
I checked his other games, he hasn't posted on anything since May 31st. I didn't see any posts where he explained anything like a vacation or busy at work. So, who knows. He's not new to the boards but not a lot of posts for ten years.
friendly sauce GMed some good PFS 2E for me -- so he was an excellent GM for PF2E. I invited to this game to give him a good game to play in. Hope he is well.
Drektan seemed so solid, still surprised we lost him.
I was in three different games with Drektan, he stopped playing in everything. I'm 'friends' with him on discord, he plays on there on a regular basis but he never responded to my question if he was doing all right or not,
