I made a loot sheet! (link)
Thank you Fiona, GM Tribute can we put the loot sheet on the page somewhere, or should one of us keep it in our header?
Fiona, Kunala claimed he CLW potion, 2 sets of caltrops and the whistle the scout he killed was carrying.

I should have a post up tonight, Been busy planting some early veggies in the garden all weekend.

Kunala |
He draws a breath "So, our enemy includes orc warbands and now Mivoy mercenaries. We have been under siege conditions for weeks and have the vital resupply we need. We just need to hold on a little while longer."
I was doing good until I got to the last paragraph. They've been under siege and need to hold on a little longer. That I got. But you said 'and have the vital resupply we need' So are they good on supplies and just need to hold on. Or do they need resupplied to be able to hold on.
Do we need to get supplies for them, or do we need to help them hold on?

Kunala |
"I wish you to escort a caravan of three merchant wagons to Willip and back. The caravan leaves tomorrow at dawn and must return as quickly as possible to make our schedule. The wagons carry traditional trade goods to be exchanged for the food and supplies we need to keep the merchants and my benefactors happy."
"You must use the old Grabford-Critwall-Willip trail to resupply the border posts and show Willip merchants that it can be navigated safely. I understand this puts you near Sellen river, a stone's throw from east bank of the river that is not even loosely under our control....
..."Our deals with the Merchant League of Mivoy has been profitable for both sides, but it appears the Merchant League is wavering in their support of our continued trade agreement. One of my spies infiltrated a meeting where Hanspur priests seemed to be advocating for plundering the trade routes rather than take smaller, steady profits. Although the Merchant League agreed to maintain the agreement, Houses of Mivoy that wanted to raid an occasional caravan were told to keep it to themselves, but make sure the tithe on the plunder made it to the Merchant League."
Are Willip and Mivoy the same place?

Ninja'd by the GM! I guess Taddy spent the last 3 weeks just reconnecting with Kunala and trying to pretend he can't hear the sisters whispering all night and completely forgot to get to know our bard haha

As the scout buckles the scabbard on the captain's side, he breaks into the first smile you have seen on him.
"We ready to hunt? Or we sneaking you out?"
I assume this is he scout asking us? So, the options are still to wait here in the building and fight. Or to flee, with or without the wagons?

What can I say? the Coin Sisters haven't quite warmed to y'all yet, though Taddy and Drektan have both impressed Amelia.

Ditto.
Amelia is lovely when you get to know her. Érme.. not so much lol.

I dunno how impressed Kunala is going to be with Amelia. Her first actions are going to be cast bless and find some place out of the way to hide.

that's the best anyone can hope from a divine caster at lvl 1 so I'm happy with it. Now if only I could hit the broad side of the fort we might be in business.

I don't think Amelia's bless stacks with Emerald's inspire courage. But isnt the light crossbow the weapon for everyone??? I always tell new casters when in doubt buy a light crossbow.
They actually do stack, bless is a morale bonus on saves and attack and inspire courage is a competence bonus on attack and damage and a morale bonus on saves on fear and charms.
So it looks like the combo should provide +2 attack, +1 damage, and +1 to saves.

Slammed at work gang, will be mid-week before I'm likely clear of the madness and headaches of offshore oil.
Please bot Erme as necessity arises.

Hopefully the skunk cleans him up, Taddy might actually have hit that drummer too!

Kunala |
I will resolve ear piercing scream on Kinabalu 6 sonic damage and dazed.
Fort: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
[dice=erme]erme: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 101d8 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11The halfling and mount tear up an orc, then things start to turn bad. Kunala has a scream rent his ears and blood comes out dazing him . The others try and land hits, but it is for nought. Emerald gently falls like a feather to the ground from the top of the tower. A dramatic entrance if there was one and projects her voice:
”We can both win here. You get by us, we head out through that hole in the wall behind you.”The half-orc drummer nods. ”Works for me.”
Emerald says to you ”You are officially reassigned to caravan guard duty.”
You realize letting them through is bad for the fort, but then you were hired to escort caravan. And no one wanted to be hit by a large great axe.
So, honestly, a little confused with the last two posts. It feels like Kunala took some damage, but I can't tell how much or from whom.
Emerald is clearly wanting to abandon the fort. Did Kunala's 21 hit the Orog, did it attack back? How much damage did Kunala take? and who's Erme?
Edit: Ok, missed this
The drummer point his drumstick at the swordsman and an ear piercing scream erupts from him.
DC15 Fort save or dazed and take full damage
sonic damage: 1d6 ⇒ 6
Sorry about that, What makes it sad is my next roll would have passed the fort save. Any chance we can apply my roll? and reroll the attack? If not he is dazed during this conversation right?

Kunala |
Cool, figured it couldn't hurt to ask.
Let's skip the fifteen, obviously his attack didn't go off, so we will use that as the round he was dazed.
Sorry, I was going to ask if he was the swordsman and forgot about it. I put a sticky note that I needed to post, but I didn't post the saving roll so I forgot it.

Drektan |

I completely missed the fact that Drektan got smashed by a falchion. Hit him for 150% of his healthy HP total. He dropped, obviously, and then the healing brought him back awake.
He couldn't have attacked, but would have picked up his blade and tried to be out of the way . . ..

Érme Coin |

Speaking of Erme - Work continues to stymie me folks - be the weekend now before my decks are cleared and I'm mentally reset enough to resume.

Tacitus Freeling |

FIGHT IT IS!
hopefully the drummer doesn't make that save and sickened stops his buffs, otherwise may the dice ever be in our favor.

Amelia Coin |

Let's see . . .. 5 - 21 = -16.
Dead is at -10 adjusted for Con bonus, so, still -10 . . ..
Yep. No more cat.

I have never been fond of the "and his other brother Darrel" character rotations. Eliminates too much of the risk in the game.
I'll play nearly anything, so I think how I would like to move forward is more democratic. Let me know what kind of character role you (the team) want me to make the primary for the replacement, and I'll build something I think will be fun that does that thing.

Amelia Coin |

Cleric maybe? Someone who can channel would be grand. We could also use someone with some heavy armor to help take the heat off Kunala and Tacitus.
On the plus side, Kunala, you're back at full!

Lets wait to see how many of us survive this fight before we decide.

GM Tribute |

The last two fights weren't easy, but you are now level 2.
For those of you keeping track, they were high CR level encounters. This last one the players had some control over the aggro they pulled. I have learned in PbP larger more epic fights work better than many smaller ones.
Other groups have channeled or dished out lots of healing to mitigate the enemy encountered when you are in "hospital mode". A cleric or life oracle does wonders in that spot with channels. One CLW to take an orc off the map is a good trade.
Some groups let most of the orcs flank the defenders and let the defenders take the brunt of their attacks.
Other groups have spared the orc that "had vital intel on the enemy" to get clues to defeat the orog, but he has to be healed up so he can run away safely as he can't betray his boss and return to the tribe -- he has to go renegade.
