A prelude to potential Kingmaker campaign where characters experience a harrowing journey into the wild river kingdoms. Who can be trusted when trade and coin are the primary motivation for keeping the East Sellen river safe. In this chaotic time for Brevoy, are there internal forces at work that threaten House Lebeda's trading empire? It is 15 Phar 4710

@Emre: I think LG could still work for Emre. Good doesn't necessarily mean nice. For me, Good versus Neutral on the alignment chart is about how far you're willing to go for those outside of you and yours. If you're willing to put yourself in harm's way for the sake of others or forgo personal gain for the good of those you've never met, then I'd argue that is more Good than Neutral.
On a somewhat related note, I sometimes wonder why I play Abadarians. They keep having crises of faith whenever I do. :P
We have lost some of our momentum 2/6 characters posted Friday.
Fiona is not level 2 yet, and has not been posting daily, so I will seek a replacement for Fiona. Sorry, but if you don't level up in a week, that is definitely a sign.
I will bot Fiona until I get a replacement.
We are on the weekend break so my next update is typically Tuesday morning to allow the weekend and a day.
So, I find myself in a bit of a quandary. I do have message that I grabbed as a sorcerer cantrip, but I was planning on Amelia not knowing about that part of her abilities until a dramatically appropriate moment came up.
Go for it that sounds fun to get to play out, and I don't think it's going to hurt us here, with 20 foot squares mapping out the compound it's range wouldn't be nearly as useful as it usually is.
As far as level 2 stuff, for spells I Grabbed Acid Maw just to buff the damage Maff can output, and stabilize, so no one bleeds out. I also got precise shot for free as a class feature and get to add half my level tracking rolls like right now, yay!

By his rig and balance, this man was a student of the sword schools Taldan nobility sent their scions to. And by all appearances, when it came down to the eternal "Rapier vs. Dueling Sword" sword school rivalry, he is definitely a Rapier man.
Since the Taldane fighting style is that of the Rondelero, shouldn't the question be Falcata vs. dueling sword?

I was waffling on whether I should ask directly or not, and decided too just in case. I assume the door was locked from the inside to keep folks out. Not locked from the outside to keep the ogre in. Any insight Tribute?
Sorry Everyone, I think i posted after GM had posted but only by 7 minutes so I missed the edit that added the K(nature) to ID centipede tracks. Hopefully we can escape this for now.

Sorry, apparently moving slow on the posts this morning. Im not trying to be a curmudgeon, but we need to do a better job of reading what the other players post.
Antonio you posted

Prompting the GM to post.

Taddy and Antonio sneak into the barracks, and see a host of feelers from just past the threshold into the building as the sea of giant centipedes turn toward you.
But Taddy didn't post that he was sneaking into the barracks, he posted

before entering the last building:
Taddy raises his hand up in a fist to signal "STOP" before pointing at the tracks and whispering "More orcs... be on guard as we enter this one."
Taddy has his sling ready as he awaits to see if Antonio's lockpicking skills are needed.
He was waiting to see if we needed to have the lock picked. Then Drecktan warned us:
Drektan wrote:
Looking into the large, deserted barracks, the newly minted halfling shakes his head. "Really has ben deserted for a while. Nest of giant centipedes in there, somewhere. See the molting leftovers across the floor?"
And Amelia posted:

Asking if we could just leave it.
I don't mind if we fight the centipedes or not. But I would ask that we consider others players posts, responding to them when appropriate. Even more so please don't assume other players characters actions or create actions for them to base yours on. Antonio if you wanted to go in the barracks (ingoring what the other said) that's well and good but please don't post actions for other characters. I'm a huge proponent of character autonomy and creating actions for others makes me very nervous.
Again, not trying to be a curmudgeon, but part of this prelude is to get used to each others style, so I wanted to share how I feel.
you're not being curmudgeonly, we definitely do need to be more conscious of what's already been put down. I'm going to try to refrain from posting unless its been at least 30 minutes or an hour after the last just to be safe from any edits as well.

It's amazing how many times we post, and someone gets a post up while we're preparing ours. Instead of waiting to make sure no one is editing, I just check back and see if I missed anything. Mostly because I'm bored and have little to do other than fret over posts :)

So far numbers on the Cragson Mines map:
#1 ore processing building
#2 military barracks
#3 office,
#4 smelter
#5
#6 stone cottage
#7 blacksmith
#8 barn
#9 warehouse
#10 store room
#11
#12
#13
#14 entrance to mine
Here is how I will do this one, stealth to get in one at a time.
Taddy without mount:1d20 + 12 ⇒ (7) + 12 = 19 good
antonio:1d20 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11 not good
So Antonio and Taddy get a surprise round from inside, everyone gets one from the back kitchen.

I went looking for the name of the captain that we fought with, and it seems that it was never given in game. Might Kunala have heard it? Working on a name for the blade, I'd sort of like to know who he was ...
Hey all, sorry for being gone the past two days. I had to watch my mom's and sister's doggies Thursday night and didn't get any sleep at all that night. I was just drained Friday.
