P'Reena lets her body float freely, enjoying the sensation.

The robot says, "Now let’s see what it feels like to
be in a primitive Tooka during a Marduck."

The robot then cranks the dial all the way up
to 5. Ail floating characters slam to the ground taking 1d6 ⇒ 6 unless you pass a DX check for half despite the padding (it would have been more without it).

The robot rambles on for a few minutes giving a scientific lecture about.." How, in modern times. Hatwick has been mastered, and Panavools no longer
need to suffer like this."

It keeps talking answering your questions while giving you a lecture.

Though unprepared for the sudden switch of gravity, P'Reena nonetheless recovers quickly.

Shot Putter Funkmeister

The robot switches the nob back to one and says, "Ok, let's continue on to the next room."

You stand up and make your way into the next room, when you first enter, they see a room with black metal walls, floor, and ceiling. Resting on the north wall, between the windows, is a wooden plaque about 1 meter square
in size. You come inside and the door closes.

A pair of ancient guns are mounted on a podium
on the east side of the room. Prominently displayed on the podium, between the guns, is a huge red disk.

It raises a wooden disk and the two guns fire hitting it turning the wood into a piece of charcoal with light beams.

The robot in a very informative, nonchalant manner says, "Mundils are extremely useful in
the study of Panchilatc. If
used improperly, they can cause great harm.
The safety switch for these is the large red
button on the podium. One of the most fascinating aspects of Mundils is that
the beam can be bounced off of a variety of
surfaces, including Gorlabs,
Dikdartak dust clouds, and, of
course, mirrors."

Round 1

AC 21, HP 46, Perception +1

Tintoretto will telekinetically push the button.

TK hand: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8

Female Mutated Cougar Enforcer 1 || HP 62/68 || HT 12 || THAC +5 ||AC 16 || MD 10 || Per 16 || Stealth +2

P'Reena is well aware of what guns can do, even though she has never seen one that fires light! She instinctively seeks cover behind their guide.

Female Altered Human Examiner 1 | HP 21/46 | AC 14 | MD 11 | Health 10 / 12 vs Radiation | Speed 16 / Swim 3 | Perception +7 | Stealth +4

If Tintoretto's move works, then Zera hits the deck, not sure that any cover will be useful in a room where lasers can bounce off the walls.

If Tintoretto fails for any reason, then Zera teleports one of her waterskins above the red button and releases it, so that the button is pressed.

Shot Putter Funkmeister

Seeing the Preena trying to hide behind it, the robot rolls away.

Tintoretto tries to depress the button with his telekinetic hand but it only grazes the button not depressing it enough to do any action.

Zera drop attack roll 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 1 = 14, her waterskin falls on the button and the light guns deactivate.

Combat Over

Shot Putter Funkmeister

What would you like to do?

Female Altered Human Examiner 1 | HP 21/46 | AC 14 | MD 11 | Health 10 / 12 vs Radiation | Speed 16 / Swim 3 | Perception +7 | Stealth +4

Whew.

That is quite fascinating. says Zera as she goes over to retrieve her waterskin.

What is next on the tour?

The robot says, "Yes, lets move on then."

The next door opens and you go into the next room. This odd-shaped room is decorated to look
like an ancient living room. There are plastic
couches, chairs, and tables, complete with
knick-knacks and cheap art on the walls.

The robot says, "This room was kitted out by the curators to look like a modern living room, something similar to one you most likely grew up in. It has furniture and kitsch."

Surprise Round

1d3 ⇒ 3

The door in the southeast
corner, the one that leads only to equipment,
shatters (actually, it’s a breakaway door) as an
alien monster bursts into the room.

The robot
tour guide calmly says, "This is the alien room. The differences between the movie versions of interstellar aliens and the real possibilities of life on other planets. We are not sure what they may look like."

The alien is slightly larger than man-sized,
with furry legs and hooves. Its torso is scaled,
with sagging rolls of skin. Protruding from its
back, and curling around to the front, are six 3-
meter-long tentacles. Each is tipped with a small
mouth that is filled with sharp teeth. Its head is
a smooth, scaly orb, with eyes where the ears
should have been. It has a single arm protruding
from its navel, with a large, twin-thumbed
hand.

The alien moves to attack P'reena with its six tentacles.

Preena won the surprise round so her action goes first

Ha ha. I love the whole "roll, but you have no idea what you are rolling for" thing. It adds spice. :)

I do want to get the characters involved and not just do GMrolls all the time. Thanks!

P'reena defends herself viciously.

Claw/Claw/Bite: 3d20 ⇒ (15, 8, 12) = 35 Damage: 3d6 ⇒ (5, 2, 1) = 8

Rolling all attacks at once, remember to add +5 to each to hit.

Shot Putter Funkmeister

You mean to each THAC roll.

P'reena hits the alien twice but misses her second claw attack.

The alien attacks P'reena 6d20 ⇒ (13, 11, 13, 9, 17, 14) = 77 with its tentacles but only one is successful 1d6 ⇒ 3 damage.

Initiative: Party 1d10 ⇒ 3, Enemy 1d10 ⇒ 4

Round 1

The alien attacks P'reena again 6d20 ⇒ (8, 4, 2, 14, 12, 10) = 50 missing all 6 attacks.

Tintoretto pulls up his mental cloak, fading from the tentacle beast's awareness.

Zera directs her radiating eyes at the alien that is trying to kill them for no good reason.

Ranged Physical Attack (Radiation beam intensity 22): 1d20 + 4 + 11 ⇒ (12) + 4 + 11 = 27
Damage: 5d6 ⇒ (5, 3, 3, 3, 2) = 16

Also causes radiation sickness (gives -4 penalty on PS/DX/THAC/AC/MHAC/MD, moves at half speed, and intensity goes down by one each day) and causes mutation as the person recovers from radiation sickness. [Also, that releases all the radiation I had built up, so any more radiation attacks in this battle will be much weaker.]

Shot Putter Funkmeister

Zera strikes the alien with her radiating eyes and, it screams and falls writhing to the
ground, with a thin blue fluid leaking all over the floor.

Combat Over

The robot says, "Let's go onto the next room."

This is the room of the Observatory where
many of the other rooms connect.

The room itself is plain, boasting only a
few pieces of bland art on the walls and a few
chairs.
There is a glass wall, between this room and another room. Revealed behind
the window is a motor for something.
Various pieces of the motor are labelled for the
viewer to marvel at. Few of the words are comprehensible by you written in some ancient scientific version of the language that you are a bit confused by. There is also an elevator door on the left.

The robot continues speaking, Behind this glass wall, you can see the inner workings of the Arbuck of our famous Mendelating Ristorast. When it was built, it was the
largest of its kind. Now, of course, more
modern Ristorasts are far
more precise, and ours has become a museum
piece. The Arbuck is designed to
move the Ristorast in exact
relation to the rotation of our Arduva."

Would interpreting the labels fall under read schematics? Rolling for it below, but if it doesn't work, no worries. Just wanted to try.

Spoiler:
You figure out the machine is used for some very large telescope.

By reading the schematics of the machine, you are able to decipher what the robot just said, "Behind this glass wall, you can see the inner workings of the motor of our famous refracting
magnetoscope. When it was built, it was the
largest of its kind. Now, of course, more
modern magnetoscopes are far
more precise, and ours has become a museum
piece. The motor is designed to
move the magnetoscope in exact
relation to the rotation of our world.

After interpreting the labels for the others, Zera goes over to look at the elevator. If it is functional, she looks inside to see what kinds of buttons it has, hoping that will tell her the extent of this facility.
