Anyone else who wants to spend an RP in the time between missions is welcomed to. Just speak up!
Into the pit the vanguard of the best agents go...
A miasma of golden energy obscures the floor of this exposed chamber, covering it as if it were a mist and shrouding the bases of numerous stone columns and earthworks that bloom from the ground. Five bizarre devices stand embedded in the stone atop the monoliths, their sigil-ridden circuitry thrumming with energy seemingly extracted from the very soil beneath them. Several columns lie toppled in what seems to be the wake of a massive struggle. The limp form of what was once the divine herald Ailuros lies motionless against a mesa.
As
a full action, a PC can attempt to disable a device by attempting two different Hard skill checks: Computers, Engineering, Life Science, Mysticism, Physical Science, or Piloting. Alternatively, a device can be destroyed the old fashioned way. For each device disabled or destroyed, Dhurus will weaken...
Although Dhurus’s battle with Ailuros was intense and rendered it greatly weakened, support from Dhurus’s devices and minions allowed it to narrowly overcome the other herald, leaving it still standing in its current state. Dhurus eagerly rushes forth to crush the you.
Will roll for initiative and start ASAP (need a couple hours to wrap up work!)

Omni spends an RP to rest up before descending into the pit.
She tucks those healing serums back into a 'pocket' in her shell.
She also checks in with the SF Quartermaster to see if they have a Holy fusion that'll work on her Shield. (Adv. Tactical Shield, L10, so it'll be a pricy purchase, but it amounts to about a tenth of her current funds. She has enough ranks in Mysticism to manage the attunement on her own.)

Standing columns are 30 feet tall. You think if you destroyed the column, the device would most assuredly break too. Alternatively, a device can be destroyed the old fashioned way. For each device disabled or destroyed, Dhurus will weaken...

Drei leaps into the air, his jetpack rocketing him upward. As he flies his rifle appears in his hands. He quickly aims and shoots at the farthest device (the T looking one in the southwest) on his way up.

Varuthalla just double moves with her Forcepack, flying up next to the closest pillar tower thingy. The triangle-looking one.
"Oh s%*~, angry jinsul demigod. Angry jinsul demigoood!!"

Drei and Omni immediately open up on two of the pillars powering this gargantuan foe. The others close in to work it through, adopting a strategy of a war on multiple fronts.
With supernatural speed beyond anything you've ever seen before Dhurus slides to its right and opens up with a blast of superheated energy at the agents on towers: Can't get Varuthalla.

Hahah, aw man, a Nat 1 on the first round of combat! You hate to see it folks!
Well. Most of the time XD
Varuthalla gets down to business, trying her best to understand and crack whatever this power pylon is.
Engineering: 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (19) + 21 = 40
Piloting: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (7) + 22 = 29
If this counts as a trap, lock, or door, add +4 to those rolls, from the appropriate tool kit?
GM S specifically said these are Hard checks, so I'm guessing that 29 Piloting isn't going to cut it; I'm using my t-shirt re-roll to reroll that.
