Zera was impressive, noticing small details and taking charge. He hoped that she would be as impressive in the field.
Still, he does see another angle of inquiry, ::I'm also interested in knowing what the details are of the Sagow Enstoot. Is there any information about its purpose and any defenses? Or information about known threats in the area? After all knowing is half the battle.::

Allen rushes off down the stairs to try and find another body to join their troop.
At the bulletin board, he sees an odd-looking creature with too many legs and the torso of some kind of cat. Shrugging, he approaches.
"Ummm...hi there. Are you looking for a job? A group of us are looking to work together to find a missing person in an old ancient's ruin. Interested?"

Preena is still at the bar not at the Restorationists. but I will push if forward. Preena feel free to retcon any interactions if you like.
Allen brings Preena into the meeting and Justinian shrugs his shoulders and says, "Now, we will provide you with a map to get to Sagow Enstoot, but you will have to provision yourselves. You should be able to so with your advance. The missing agent's name is Daradall. He is a snakeman with wings. He hired a group of sentient squirrels to go with him. They are known to be trustworthy so we have little reason to suspect treachery."
He continues, "I can't tell you much about Sagow Enstoot. The map I am giving you only shows the entrance to it. The reason Daradall's group was sent there was to make preliminary explorations, so we don't have any more detailed information."
The last town dot is called Cold Water, I guess they forgot to put it on the map, that is where the road stops.
He continues, "However, what I can tell you that there is a large hill kilometers across as you can see on the map. Somewhere on the top is a moss- and ivory covered stone hidden in a thicket of trees. That should be the entrance to the Enstoot. Do you have any other questions?"

Zera |

Zera looks around at the group to see if there were any other inquiries.
If there are not, she says No, I think that is the information that we need. Knowledge and artifacts that we might find become our personal property rather than belonging to the Restorationists, correct?
She wanted that part to be clear, but didn't think it would be a problem. He wasn't offering enough to claim their discoveries.

::Justinian, I have one of the Songs of Sam. If you have a compatible unit this would allow us to report what we find.::
From his bag a comm unit will float up. Soon the distinctive startup melody comes on. He will detach the stylus and use that to enter the security code. A few more taps and it displays TAP TO EXCHANGE SECURE MESSAGING CREDENTIALS

GMEDWIN |

Justinian says, "We may have such a compatible device, you would be best able to talk to the Quartermaster. If we have one here he would have the information. Any other questions?"
He then looks at P'Reena and says, "I must assume that you are the fifth member of this group. My name is Justinian, Director of Special Projects for the Restorationists in Ascension. Your "colleagues" have just been given the assignment. As a recommendation, I suggest you kit up and leave in the morning, however there is a bonus if you get back within 10 days."

::Thank you Justinian:: he says, asking for the location of the Quartermaster.
Tintoretto waves a leg at P'Reena and gently taps her mind to add her to the chat. ::Hello, I'm Tintoretto. The human with antennae is Zera, the one without is Allen, and Vigan is the viny one.::
Checking with the others, ::I could leave today, and we can get several hours down the road.::
-----
At the Quartermaster, he'll tell him about the Song of Sam and explain that they are going on a mission for Justinian and ask if they have a compatible device to send reports back to.

GMEDWIN |

At the Quartermaster, the quartermaster looks at Tinteretto's communicator and says, "Your device is really remarkable. We had something like that here a year or two ago but we traded it to our chapter in Allenville. But I think we can set up a link were we can communicate audially." You exchange frequencies and security protocols.

GMEDWIN |

So yeah, if there is any other equipment you want to purchase with the 100 domars, like camping gear or rations or whatever just put it in the discussion thread. But it seems everyone is in agreement and we can get out of Ascension. If there is any higher level tech item we can see if they have it.
You make your way out of the city of Ascension through the windy streets and after an hour of travel you finally get to the city gate and walk your way following the road which is pot marked and in disrepair. The black soft rock named for its internal blackness not its external grey blueness is unkempt, there seems to be the remnants of a yellow line and at point a double yellow line. You do not really understand why it is there but it is colorful so it keeps your attention for a time. For the first six klicks, the area surrounding the road is being used as farmland where large rye plants the size of tree line the streets. You just imagine how delicious the whiskey made from such grain would taste. Afterwards, lining the road are the thistle forests, the thistle grows six feet tall with a large flower on top.
After about four hours you make your way to the town of Hahl. A vassal city of the city state of Ascension the people here are a mix of mostly pure strains and mutated humans. They seem to be mostly farmers and those bartering their wares.
It is starting to get dark, do you want to find an inn or do you want to camp in the outskirts?

Tintoretto |

::I do prefer to be out of the elements where possible. I'd prefer the inn if it's reasonable in price and quality.""
----
During their travels, he would have let them know about his powers. ::Obviously there is telepathy, and I can also read emotions when I have to. I generally try not to intrude on people without good cause. I also have telekinesis, both fine and powerful.:: He'll lift up his main weapon of self defense, a plastalloy brick. Imagine something that is a cross between a cinderblock and a lego piece big and strong enough to make buildings. It's got some dents and scratches to show it's been used.
::I have a couple of other abilities. If I face a psychic attack, I can remember that for a while and use it myself. The last one lets me hide psychically.:: He'll test this, but of course it won't work on Vigan.

P'Reena |

"My, ehr, sheer size makes for problems sleeping in an inn, but if you have a warm stable or someplace out of the weather..."
"Most of my abilities aren't as flashy. I am extremely resistant to heat and fire, and have night vision and excellent hearing and smell. But there is my ability to move without moving. I think someone called it tel-a-por-ta-tion. I can move from here to over there, but I can only do it every so often. It's very draining."

Allen Crawford |

Allen heads over to talk to a few of the PSH from the town that he knows. Most came from secluded compounds or hidden survival camps. He is the only one (as far as he knows) that was 'found' in a cryotube in the ruins of an ancient medical facility.
"Yeah, let's get a room...might be our last good night's sleep for a while! I'm still getting used to everything in the wild trying to eat me!"
He says this with a chuckle and smile, but also with some truth, as he was almost taken down by several 'innocent' species when he first emerged from his deep sleep.

Vigan |
Vigan didn't like the idea of staying in the city another night, but wasn't showing it outwardly. Even if she had...she was a plant after all and fairly hard to read.
But no, she chose to remain with the group out of practicality. If she was correct they were about to stir up the hornets nest...south rim raiders at the very least. The deadly nightshade would certainly be there to pocket the pieces...
At the talk of powers she mentioned, in that strange approximation of human vocals "Well, some psychic essence of my roots extends deep into the collective consciousness of this region...I can draw forth form the minds of others from more than 10 kilometers. I have some manipulative control over matter as well...able to lift and lower nearly anything to and from great heights. But most of all, I'm a scout." shrugging her vines and taking another drag.

Zera |

When they are all talking about what they can do Zera says
Well, I'm fast, pretty good at blending in, I can get around in the dark, and I can also do some limited teleportation. Not like P'Reena though... not myself, but I can move other things if they aren't too far away. And Al-An has knowledge of the ancient world, so he is especially useful with artifacts. No eating him.
When they get to the inn, she approaches the desk and tells the innkeep that they needed a place to stay for the night, and asks about a stable.

GMEDWIN |

The person at the front desk gives you keys for the room and gives you directions to the livery that is about two blocks from the inn.
P'reena and whomever wants to come with follows the directions and you see a handsome looking ivy, almost human in appearance, with a green complexion and leaves for hair. He has large green leaves that looks like they are fashioned in the style of contemporary farmers' clothing. He is packing up his produce stand for the evening and says, "Mayhaps you'd be interested in fresh pears from mesah farm?"

Tintoretto |

At the inn Tintoretto muses, "I could go with P'Reena." Looking at Vigan, he continues, "If you stay at the inn, we can contact each other if there are any problems."
------
Tintoretto tilts his head in surprise at the cattaur. He'd met a few felines, but he didn't know any who were changed enough to enjoy fruit. He filed it as a pleasant surprise.
He'll look over the farmer's other wares, making small talk as he chooses something fresh for dinner. ::I'm Tintoretto. Looks like a nice little village growing out here. How's the farming going?::

GMEDWIN |

Achillex smiles and gives 24 pears to P'reena and says, "Madam, I cain't takes no charity. These are some mighty delicious fruits whether you eat them raw, bake them or decide to use them for schnapps or cider."
GM Rolls
Zera you hear that the Bonapartists are starting to press gang Altered Animals to join their army.

Tintoretto |

"That's a damn shame. Nobody wants those troublemakers around when you're just trying to make a living. If you're willing, I know some friends who might be able to stop by and help you and your neighbors out. Help make the area little safer, maybe get some new traders to visit."
He'll keep talking until Achillex is packed and ready to go, then we'll head to the stables.
-----
In the morning I'll report back home that this village could use a little helping hand. When we get back with Zera, he'll nod and let her know that we heard about the Bonapartists and KGP coming around. ::Looks like we'll need to be on our guard as we travel.::
As we head through the town in the morning, he'll try and make small talk with the residents. He'll commiserate with their issues and once again mention that he'll ask his friends to stop by and see how they could help.
-----
A short while after leaving town, he'll adjusts his gear on his cart. Zera and Allen will definitely recognize the solar panel he moves to the top.

P'Reena |

The next morning, P'Reena shares her bounty with her teammates, dividing the pears as evenly as possible. When Zera mentions the Zoopremists, she frowns. "They can be troublesome. We will need to be careful."

Vigan |
Vigan was busy feeding Domino just before morning, being very careful the stagon didn't try to nibble her deadly black berries. With Dawn, the plant felt the ultraviolet energy being absorbed by every chlorophyll in her body...warming up her xylem tubes to superior flexibility.
By the time the others had reached that stable on the wall, Vigan was already mounted up and ready for the wastes. A dry, warm wind whistled the bowstring on her back...chirping like a hawk.
It looked like someone tossed a bunch of yard clippings on a 6 legged horse.

GMEDWIN |

Achillex says, "Well, thank you kindly, it is very generous of you." After that he packs his left over fruit and you guess he makes his way back to his homestead.
The next day, you eat some breakfast and you are personable with the different folks you see in Hahl before you leave but it is about 9am when you finally leave the town's outskirts.
You continue along the roads following the shores of Lake Mitchigloom where the Thistle tree forests change to pine tree and then breaks away at a town called Haven you take the fork leading towards the hinterlands where farm land continues as you get closer to the town of Cold Water, Cold Water is a bit larger than Hahl but the Tech level is a little less than that of Hahl. .It is around noon when you start to leave the well travelled road.
Can you tell me which route you generally want to follow and can our scout give me a Survival check?

GMEDWIN |

You make your way outside of the city where there is just forest of strange somewhat mutated trees and plants. The landscape is more rocky and not as conducive to farming as other parts of the countryside. After about an hour of dredging your way through the undergrowth, you hear strange notes of music off in the distance, coming towards you. It is full of short, shrill high notes similar to that of a flute or a fife.
"Weewahhh wooo weee lahhhh weeewahh wooo weeee lahhhh" comes the music repeatedly and it gets louder the closer it seems to come to you.

GMEDWIN |

Vigan
After three minutes, you see what looks like a silvery, opaque soap bubble. It is about the size of a man's doubled fists and its surface is a constantly changing swirl of pastel an metallic colors. Although it is definitely moving south, it floats from side to side and changes its altitude, seemingly at random. All the while the strange, shrill music fills the air.
BAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHWwwwwwwwwwwwwwoooooooooooooooolllllllaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh hhhhhhhhhhh

Vigan |
Suddenly a longbow seemed to fall down and crush the plant, at the same time a rusty barbed arrow rose from behind. An undulating brush of leaves raised and steadied the weapon, and it was then you realized the stems and branches that constituted the vegetation were actually drawing a shot.
*thwip*
Attack: 1d20 ⇒ 2 Of course, roll low on attacks and high on skills. I'm doing great job.
The arrow sailed past the strange device and was quickly out of sight. Apparently plants were not expert marksmen, just as you suspected.
