Only the vine squares are 1/4 movement. You could take an attack on those vines if you wished, Grunigon.

Bilos and if Grunigon wants to attack are up.

Grunigon’s slash ALMOST chops right through, but a few stringy strands remain.

Bilos is up!

Edit to correct because…

Zarta glares at the dwarf, ”I hope you weren’t forgetting my inspiring presence, young man.”

The plants in front of Grunigon seem to wither at her gaze, falling out of the way.

Bilos strides in and hacks away at a vine. Except he is so used to using his mind to do things, his sweaty hand slips off the grip of his weapon and he almost drops it on his toes!

He looks around, hoping no one saw that. Everyone saw it. Zarta sighs, "I can't even help that attempt. I hope the rest of you are more competent."

Sensing some sort of incursion or threat or something, the orb seems to glow in response. The glow flashes into the room and a large pile of junk rattles into a spinning tiny sized swarm of jagged pieces of junk.

Trained Knowledge “Arcana” on the Junk Swarm:
With a success on your roll I will ID the creature. This ID will include basic type/subtype and one tidbit of knowledge. I will dole out the tidbits starting with signature special abilities and then working to more mechanical things like DR and other resistances. Multiple rolls from multiple players, assuming they both beat the DC, will grant additional information and not duplicate tidbits.

EVERYONE recognizes what a 'swarm' is. It will take 150% damage from an AoE spell or splash weapon. This is a 'tiny sized creature' swarm and thus will take full damage from Bludgeoning weapons and half damage from piercing or slashing weapons.

Grim recalls this to be a variant junk golem (construct traits). Most notably their only resistance is DR 5/Adamantine, which Dran learns is quite accurate as his bludgeoning attack is still mostly negated.

The vines could be jumped over, by someone really really good at jumping (High Jump Acrobatics DC 20).

And while the vines are resistant to pure bludgeoning force, Kaz does apply quite a bit of power behind his blow, smashing the vine in that area to pulp.

The orb is not a creature. It is an object. It is not even a construct. It will be requiring some sort of adjacent disabling to deactivate it.

Bilos easily recalls that this junk golem is immune to a lot of magic, but there are some specific spells that affect it in both good and bad ways.

Immunity to Magic (Ex) An Aucturn shard golem is immune to any spell or spell-like ability that allows spell resistance. In addition, certain spells and effects function differently against an Aucturn shard golem, as noted below.
・A shatter spell dazes it for 1 round.
・A grease spell affects the golem as if it were haste for 1d6 rounds and ends any slow effect on it.
・An arcane lock or hold portal spell affects the golem as if it were a slow spell for 1d6 rounds and breaks any haste effect on it.
・A wood shape or rusting grasp spell deals 2d6 points of damage to the golem.

In addition, he recalls this creature has a unique ability to weaken its enemies every time it hurts them.

Evisceration (Ex) An Aucturn shard golem performs swift but mindless surgical operations on creatures it damages. A creature that takes swarm damage golem must succeed at a DC 14 Fortitude save or take 1d2 points of ability damage from the invasive lacerations. This damage applies to whichever ability score is currently the highest.

Bilos is welcome to retcon Raya's magic attack since I'm sure he would share that the golem swarm is immune to her bane. I'll give up to 24 hours for an alternate action and then assume she just saved the bane and move on. Also 24 hours for Bilos to post his own action.

Ruya steps out of the flying debris field and turns to swing, but gets a violent stomach ache and doubles over. Not sure how that works, really. She hasn't eaten in several decades.

She was nauseated, so no attack.

Bilos' book bounces off a hard piece of spinning debris, but Dran's fire flask immolates the swarm very nicely (9 damage).

The swarm doesn't really care though, since it isn't really anything more than animated junk. It drifts on down towards more pathfinders, slamming into and expertly chopping them up.

Regrowth

Bold May Act. Moving through any plants triggers poison (once per round). The Fungal Columns function as Massive Trees (can’t move through them but could climb them). The vines function as Heavy Undergrowth (4 squares of move for one square) but can be cut. Most of the boxes provide Partial Cover. The middle boxes provide Full Cover.

EVERYONE recognizes what a 'swarm' is. It will take 150% damage from an AoE spell (if not immune…) or splash weapon. This is a 'tiny sized creature' swarm and thus will take full damage from Bludgeoning weapons and half damage from piercing or slashing weapons. This one also has DR 5/Adamantine.

Not my fault! Blame the ancestors!"

Assuming Zarta doesn't mind budging up, or alternatively that a Large Halali can step on the crates, she does indeed get freakin' big :)

There will be Kaz, go ahead and act. DR 5 against all those attacks is pretty brutal.

Halali focuses her spell on herself and begins quickly doubling in size. Unfortunately that means she brushes up against some vines.

Fort Save vs Poison please.

But then she can now reach the swarm. And reach it she does! Swinging hard and fast, her weapon blasts and slams into the animated foe. It is a bit resistant to her hits, but damage is done!

2 hits, no Crit. 16 damage done.

And then Ander and Kaztor pile on a little more damage. That darn resistance though, really takes the wind outta the dwarves hits.

Two hits, 11 total damage.

I would like to resolve the AoO’s and Saves before moving back around to the top. There is too much to keep track otherwise.

Ruya swings a good smashing weapon, but not well. It misses.

Bilos and Dran swing really well, but just manage to slash up a few sheets of blowing paper. The smaller bits keep swarming.

Failing disgusts them. Like really bad. Nauseating even.

Halali feels no lingering ill effects. Maybe the vines aren’t poison? Yeah, that’s probably it.

The swarm’s Fire: 1d6 ⇒ 2 burns out and the artifact pulses, regrowing thick plants. Zarta sighs, ”I won’t get anywhere back here. Gonna hit those ones over there.”

She moves up and waves her wand.

Some vines came back. If you don’t move out of their squares this round make a save against poison.
