one more encounter after this one. If you'd like your downtimes part of your chronicle, go ahead and roll them.

![]() |

Roark dances for his old buddy Stitch...
Performance, Virtuosic Performer(E), Dancing Scarf: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (17) + 14 = 31
Crit for 6.4gp

![]() |

Overall, this one was a fun one to run. I'd love to play it again though -- the GM I had was less than ideal...

![]() |

More information about the problem in the Compost Forest would have certainly been useful here. Unfortunately Vardarel is at a loss for thinking of a method used by his own people that would work here.
Vardarel's Lore Elven (E): 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (1) + 11 = 12

![]() |

Sorry, was doing downtime and didn’t put in enough context.
They compost watch were able to signal that they were in trouble but couldn’t indicate what the problem was.

![]() |

Compost Watch sent out a distress signal. However, they did not really specify what the problem was. Anemone is certain that it's not anything mundane, as Compost Watch can handle mundane threats.
It's essentially similar to 06-05 (something is wrong, go find out what it is)...
The briefing itself or the adventure background doesn't specify exactly what's going on either. Probably something to do with the large number of undead leshies... :)

![]() |

Yes, and if my character was sent into that sort of SNAFU they would be trying to figure out a way for the Compost Watch to have given a better report of what the problem is.
Prepared caster, the better they know what they are facing the better they can prepare for it.

![]() |

Bun is ready and all leveled up...

![]() |

Performance: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (14) + 12 = 26
The leshies are quite fond of Bella's many stories. She makes sure to remind them of Eddie's strength and bravery.

![]() |

At this point, I think Bella would rather have Manny and Salissa would rather have Astrid here... :)

![]() |

Eddie does their best to share stories with the other Leshy. "Its good to be home.. sort of?" Looking around at the destruction.
Expert in Leshy Lore(INT): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26

![]() |

you wanna hero point the save, Bella? Before I use you to attack your companions (evil grin) :)

![]() |

I rolled the Will Save first, then I rolled the Fort Save, then I looked at my results. Then I thought about Hero Points.
Unfortunately I saw the results of both rolls. So even if I Hero Pointed, I know the results, I would still fail. I'm in this weird metagame spot due to how the website's die roller works.
Your call, GM. I would have Hero Pointed the Dominate roll had I not rolled the Fort Save. Either way I'm still Dominated.
I could Hero Point the poison, though.

![]() |

I haven't yet had any experience with ID'ing spells and effects in 2e to know how to avoid meta gaming.
I also thought I had a scroll of dispel magic but took a scroll of heal this scenario instead.. so as far as removing the condition I don't think I'll be very helpful.

![]() |

Eddie, did you get a chronicle for Fall of Plaguestone?

![]() |

Welp, I tried.
Fun part of having an eidolon who can communicate with you is that Khiari gets to shout warnings. Too bad she can't do much else unless the controller urges Bella to give Khiari actions.

![]() |

Eddie, did you get a chronicle for Fall of Plaguestone?
Is that where that thing is from? I knew I recognized it! I never did finish the adventure so no, I do not have a chronicle from it. Lemme see what else I can summon and just keep the attack rolls for simplicity.

![]() |

3-4-5?? the dice really don't like you! :)
In 4 rounds I should finally roll a 9!

Actually it wasn't that -- you expressed interest in TFOP and I just realized that it's not repeatable. You could play but not for PFS credit had you gotten a chronicle for it :)

![]() |

Eeep... Apologies. I overthought the dominate. I'll cancel the confident finisher damage against Salissa.

![]() |

Bella should deal 3 more damage to Salissa due to her Precise Strike. (sorry)

![]() |

still better than 13...

Sorry to be missing in action, been dealing with a family medical emergency these last few days. I'll get a post up later today after some rest. Thanks

![]() |

Hope everything's ok. Take care of that first! We'll still be here afterwards.

![]() |

Halgur - the 'bear-speak' has me laughing in our game :)

![]() |

Ok Chadius -- you're up.
Chronicles emailed and the game has been reported.

![]() |

btw, BBEG for this one had AC 24, 65 hp, Fast Heal 7 and resistance to all physical except magical silver. no particular weakness to vitality though it didn't matter with all the ghost charge bombs flying in!

![]() |

I need to silver this hammer. If only I could have punched a vampire so hard it exploded into mist...
Thanks for the chronicles and the game, GM!

Okay, I updated the thread header to the sign up page for 2-23.

With a different scenario, I found out just how quickly vampires can be taken out by a Kineticist with Solar Detonation.
Tess was still able to do her part in destroying them, but between the two of them the vampires didn’t really have a chance.

I haven't seen the chronicle come through on my end.
Eddie had a great time, glad I saved that scenario for them to enjoy. Thanks everyone, now time to get back into Stitch mode.. as a goblin.. yikes.

hang on. I'll give you a link to it. Someone else using yahoo told me that yahoo is marking it spam with no possibility of downloading the attachment.

You can test it out in 04-09 - Killer in the Golden Mask :)

Rank 2 Heal scroll, which he hands to Vardarel -- not sure if I can use it yet
First line of Cleric dedication:
You cast spells like a cleric. You gain the Cast a Spell activity.Under Scrolls in GM Core
Casting a Spell from a scroll requires holding the scroll in one hand and activating it with a Cast a Spell activity using the normal number of actions for that spell. The spell must appear on your spell list.
I could be wrong, but given the above I would allow it. You have the Cast a Spell activity and nothing about scrolls requires spell slots that I am aware of.

![]() |

true. doesn't say anything about it having to appear in the spells I'm allowed to cast (which are only cantrips at this point)...

This is the way I've always played it.
Additionally it looks like Gun Helsing has trick magic item and training in religion and nature. That alone opens up divine and occult spells from scrolls although with a skill check. Technically he could try arcane and occult spells as well but with much less chance of success.

![]() |

so is the professor coming so that we can torture the others with our lisping? ;)

![]() |

I think his intro sums him up enough... "after all, he's a stuffed rabbit who has a gun and talks funny!" :)

Primal, actually. And I took Trick Magic Item for that reason (and I totally forgot about it! :) )

![]() |

IIRC, ours PCs hit lvl 6 after this?

![]() |

I will remain at 56 XP after this, as I've GM'd this already.
