Vivi, you can keep your init before the boss but then would not wait until Aukan went, so either way you only hit the boss once.

Victrix's init is a 1 and at the end of round 8 she would use a move action to wave her flag after healing. So the bonuses from her inspiring would start in Round 9.

So when did the rules change about occupying same square as allies? If I remember you can occupy the same square with an ally if you are two sizes smaller or larger than them. But I guess I will look it up. I present the feat Friendly Switch

Yeah I can understand the trouble with tracking hp with vicious, as you only take the damage if you hit.
Not trying to be a rules lawyer, but that fight is tough and we need every possible advantadge :).
Just trying to understand what the boss did, because I think he made one attack too many: Your post shows him striking 4 times, Aukan once (for 20) Vivi twice (for 26 and then 19, putting her at -18 and extremely dead, I strongly think he cant actually do that) Liam once for 25 (also killing him).
Cleave requires the secondary target to be adjacent to the first one (and within reach of course), so I think the boss cleaves into Aukan, hits, cleaves into Vivi, since he downed Aukan cleaving finishes triggers into Liam.
If he could cleaving finish Vivi is disputable, as one can argue he cant because he targeted her as well with the original cleave, and the cleaving finish has to be "another target".
What I actually think happens is this:
The boss cleaves into Aukan for 20 (knocking him out) then cleaves (with his second cleave atack) Vivi (pretty sure he cannot cleave into Liam since Liam is not adjacent to Aukan) for 26 (putting her at 1, if he goes before her she is at full hp on account of all the healing received), cleaving finish triggers because Aukan was zeroed, and he cleaving finishes Liam, with his third roll for 19, putting Liam at minus 7 (which incidentally means he is not dead, just dying).
If he goes before Vivi (because Vivi waited until Aukan, yep, you are right about that), she is at full health from the healing received in round 8.
She would still power attack with her vicious sword, because another hit from the boss would instant kill her, while the vicious sword self damage would only put her to dying.

When you strike down an opponent, you can continue your swing into another target.
Prerequisites: Str 13, Cleave, Power Attack.
Benefit: If you make a melee attack, and your target drops to 0 or fewer hit points as a result of your attack, you can make another melee attack using your highest base attack bonus against another opponent within reach. You can make only one extra attack per round with this feat.
So he hits each of you once with cleave and then after downing Aukan he gets another attack against another target that he threatens.
The reason he cleaves Vivi as well because she can't take a five foot step back.
This is great cleave: As long as the last target is hit you may attack another adjacent target obviously the one you just hit and that you threaten. Otherwise this feat would be useless. Aukan used great cleave in Round 8 to hit 3 unchosen.

27 HP and 14 Con sadly means 41 instant death treshold from full, he hit for 45. His average Damage output is 46 on whoever unlucky PC gets hit twice.
A D12 martial, or a D10 martial who rolled max HP or close to it and has 16ish Con can not instant die, if he was full hp.
Partly unlucky because I remained standing after 1 blow with 1 hp, which was a death sentence.

1: Keep running. Obviously. He does not instant kill on average if I was level 4. Level 4 also means Burst of radiance, reflex or blinded and some decent damag on top. Perhaps too used to milestone leveling.
Exploration wise, I was thinking we are moving to an optional area, because the presence of the spider implied for me that there shouldnt be the Gnolls boss in he close vicinity (or they would have presumably dealt with it), but that was just an assumption.
I am a melee attacker, I do not have precise shot, even with divine favor, in ranged combat I hit him on a (2+1+3-4-1)=+2 so 19 or 20 basically due to cover from a lot of interposing things. If I am not enlarged, it improves to hitting him on a 17 or on a 15 while he is cleaving.
Fighting with combat expertize would not have mattered one bit (would increase his miss chance from 5% to 10%.
I do not have any save or suck targetting reflex saves, which is probably the way to deal with him.
The number of unchosen neccessiated the chokepoint, which then turned against us.
As a consolation, this guy is so far above us in CR, he should not be getting any EXP.

But yeah. This is really far over our abilities. If we win with anyone besides just Aukan then this will be a huge win for us. Though I expect Sendi won’t be surviving long even with her smite up.

Yup this was way above you, you cut out at least 1 if not 2 levels of xp. Though you almost got the leader to half hp. Also you took out a good portion of his elites. Anywhere else is likely to be a breeze in comparison.

5 skill points:
Invesing 3 in Acrobatics (giving me defensive fighting as a reasonable option, and moving it to 6) , 1 in perception (7) and the last one in UMD.
Definitly want a wand of lead blades at some point, dont really have the UMD to use it yet.
New capabilities:
--Can protect the party from ranged attackers via mist.
--Significant burst healing via cure moderate
--Sizeable save or suck (DC 16, 18 CHA and a level 2 spell) with some damage on top, targetting reflex via burst of radiance.
--Oracle have few spells known, but really good spells per day, 4 level 2 spells due to my high charisma is really useful.
--If I prot from evil myself, fight defensively, am not enlarged and use combat expertize, my AC is 25 vs the boss, which gives me 50/50 odds of making him stop his cleave chain.
If you are in the mansion you don't need to make the save.

Overall, a good level. More HP (very much needed), +1 AC, immune to fear and disease. +2 damage as power attack increases.
When the group is ready we can skip to the next day.
I hope all players are able to make a post about what they do, before tomorrow night. Otherwise you will likely stay in the mansion. Then they all become NPCs and will only venture out with a diplomacy check of at least 15.
So players make some conversation with each other and the NPCs. Otherwise you are down to a five person team.

Gorum says that war involves putting large arrows on maps, so I went ahead and did that!
Phase 1: We are in H17, we move into H16 then H13, opening the door to the north west there and smeshing any hostiles along the way.
Phase 2: Back to H13, going west this time. I think we have never actually been there before. There is probably a connection south towards he H4 area.
Phase 3: we hit H8, possibly miniboss?
Sounds good to me - although both Metal aren't proficient in planning

Home. My computer died while we were gone. Boot SSD isn't recognized anymore . . .. System is probably 6 years old at this point. Well behind the tech curve. Ordered something current to replace it. Feeling very fortunate to be ABLE to do so, honestly.
On my wife's computer, and will be stealing time on it to handle the online games until the new computer in place and operational.

Sorry for being slow, life is hectic right now. I think tomorrow night will be much better. I am beat and I am going to crash. 10 hours organizing classroom so they can clean it was killer.
FYI, I will be on vacation for a week and a half, no wifi in the bunkhouse. I will see what I can do but no promises, we will see.
