Round 3
The giant gnoll turns upon Aukan with a bloody maw.
1d20 + 15 ⇒ (5) + 15 = 20
damage: 2d6 + 16 ⇒ (6, 5) + 16 = 27
2nd swing: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (4) + 10 = 14
damage: 2d6 + 16 ⇒ (5, 2) + 16 = 23
bite: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (12) + 11 = 23
damage: 2d6 + 5 ⇒ (6, 4) + 5 = 15
Round 4
The giant gnoll continues to attack Aukan.
Goreshred: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (5) + 15 = 20
damage: 2d6 + 16 ⇒ (3, 3) + 16 = 22
Goreshred, 2nd: 1d20 + 15 - 5 ⇒ (1) + 15 - 5 = 11
damage: 2d6 + 16 ⇒ (6, 5) + 16 = 27
bite: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (20) + 11 = 31
damage: 2d6 + 5 ⇒ (3, 2) + 5 = 10
The gnoll's greataxe cuts deep into Aukan as his blade takes an arm let alone leaving massive wounds. As Vivi has summoned more radiance with her abs and the volley of ranged attacks sink in, both fall to the ground.
End of Combat.

Grimoin Al'Thorrak |

Grim dropped the crossaxe and scrambled over to Aukan.
"Don't you die you big son of a #%#%." He gritted out as he used a Lay On Hands to heal him 2d6 ⇒ (1, 5) = 6.

Aukan the Goliath |

His eyes open and with a pained look he raises his off hand showing off a thumbs up before asking, "More healing please!" After two more charges from the wand he is able to stand and carry his own weapon.
He takes the Carrion King's axe and asks, "Anyone want this? I don't see Sasha she was over there I think, wait where is Nima? This can't be good."

Grimoin Al'Thorrak |

Grim looked regretfully at the axe, then shook his head.
"No, not really my style. Besides, you earned it.
He looked around.
"Where to next?"

Aukan the Goliath |

Aukan walks back bringing the axe only to toss it towards the sarcophoguses. He walks over to the sarcophagus and asks, "Auso what do you think about it?! I would want to find Nima and Sasha but I am sure they are in good hands."

GM Wolf |

Auso runs his hand along the sarcophogus before falling to his knees and coughing. Soon enough he is coughing up black goo. Within moment his body bloats and then another body appears within it. Tearing flesh of Auso off as it emerges. A black humanoid with what could be black scales appears. It has golden bands and blue runes begin to glow on its stone slabs of flesh. half dragon?
Auso or at least the creature that emerges from Auso speaks with growls and harsh 's' words.

Varvara Ulyanova Vladimirovna |

Vivi disarms the dead gnoll king, binding him for good measure, before she brandishes the symbol used to zombify her former ally, which now shows a thorned crown, and rams it straight into the terminus of its digestive tract.
Alright, his soul for Ragnars.
She steps back, drawing her blade in case well, something unexpected happens.

GM Wolf |

"A bargain is proposed." A melodic voice speaks as an athletic female, clad in a fair degree of surprisingly practical looking armor appears, striding through a cave wall and then becoming fully corporeal.
Her bat like wings trail are stretched out behind her, and her tails, yes, two of them, and horns leave absolutely no question about what this is.
Her armor is decorated with a fair degree of heraldry, twin daggers pointing upwards under a full moon, beneath a purple thorned crown.
"Peace emissary," she speaks in common to the draconic creature.
"I refer to the soul of that gnoll, not to the scroll you hold dear, although I would owe you a minor favor if I could enlist thee as a neutral witness to a business transaction?"
With that the draconic one nods his head in agreement.
She looks at Grimoin next:
"A Paladin of Abadar of moderate strength, fortuitous. May I also avail myself of thy services for the purposes of recording a business transaction? I believe it would be within the confines of thy Paladin Code to strive for fair bargains? And that creating a fair bargain involving a Demoness would plausibly even be a feather in your hat so to speak?" She addresses him, looking straight into his eyes.
---
Shadows of the two corpses exchange like spectres of somekind. You all can sense the magical power of Vivi's actions and something has definetly changed.

Varvara Ulyanova Vladimirovna |

As for what the deal was, that dog faced chucklef% that f%~@ing killed me once thought it a cunning idea to turn Ragnar, my former comrade, into an undead. Ragnar saved my live once, and I pay my debts.
Given that his soul was kind of spoken for, Mrs. "I seduce armor-affine martial meatheads" over there was justfiably pissed. I proposed her an alternative deal, I use the thing the gnoll used to undeadify Ragnar to trap the gnolls soul instead, give it to her, and she yields her claims on Ragnars soul derived from having him accept her profane gift, freely, willingly and knowingly, so his soul gets its day in the boneyard rather then the good old one way express to Alyushinyrra, and she gets the soul of a Rovagugan anti-paladin, and can do whatever the hell she wants with it. Given that everyone hates Rovagug, I shouldnt even be in that much trouble with Pharasma, as it was specifically a reprisal due to him creating undeads.
Vivi explains
Two tails? You got a promotion? What did you stab?
Vivi asks the Demoness.
Stabbing? It was more of a slashing thing, I got a second tail as a price for my newest Gyloumari receipe. The Demoness answers smiling beatifically
How did you kill a Gylou? There are a fair bit more powerful then the average Succubus on an individual basis. Vivi asks with a cocked eyebrow.
Even better, I captured one! The demoness explains
How? the mercenary asks
what is the answer worth to you? The demoness replies
Nothing, you are in brag mode and even if someone hits you with a silence spell you are just going to tell everyone telepathically, wether they want to or not. Vivi states with a fair bit of confidence.
Ahahahah Vivi you know me well... The demoness chuckles.

Grimoin Al'Thorrak |

Grim followed Aukan over to the sarcophagus, wondering what was going on over there.
He winced at Varvara's corpse abuse. and was about to demand an explanation when the demoness made her appearance.
As he started forward to attack, he was arrested by her words asking him to bear witness to a bargain; one of the core precepts of his faith.
He thumped the Gavel of Abadar to the ground, causing the ground to jump a little. He held his holy symbol up, the Scales of Abadar.
"All of you who stand in the Light of the Faith of Abadar, take heed.
"In the Name of Abadar, Master of the First Vault, and before the eyes of Grimoin his servant, let this transaction be of a Fair and Equivalent Exchange." He intoned.
He slammed his hammer down again, harder.
"Or else." He said, looking at the demon in particular.

Aukan the Goliath |

Aukan looked quite pissed. His ally Auso was brutally murdered in front of him just a moment ago, a demoness is amongst them, and his kin are all missing. He growls as he holds the greatsword at the ready should something attack. Still staying very silent.

GM Wolf |

Then with no one disapproving she does the ritual, see the spoiler above, and continues...
"Excellent. The bargain is concluded, and I formally, freely and willingly yield my claim, accruing from him willingly, freely and knowingly accepting my profane gift, on the Soul of the mortal Ragnar, instead referrring him towards proper Pharasman authorities for judgement." The demoness speaks before pausing.
"Our draconic friend has just telepathically informed my that not offering to standard favor to our Dwarfen Paladin for his services is rude, and I do have to agree, although Paladins only exceedingly rarely accept favors from me. Hmmmm." She pauses, studying Grimoin.
"Offering my gift would clearly not be in his favor, as Abadar tends to take issue with that, and the right to call me for the duration of a single combat is a pretty major favor that would far exceed adjuciation services."
"I would be willing to pledge to intercede on his behalf should he be in trouble with Demons, Demons who are not specifically foes of the Lady in Shadows. To manage expectations, it can be within my power to negotiate safe retreat, but not to have them yield. Alternatively, he could avail himself of my services in the pursuit of the answer of a single question of planar nature, provided the answer is known to me and provided that answering truthfully does not violate the interests of my Lady in Shadows, or of my direct liege, or of myself. Should the question posed be appropriate, and should I not know the answer, a different question can be asked later."
The Emissary later speaks (once the Succubus is gone):
"A devotee of the upward blade. They seek to mimic their Lady in Shadows by scoring "challenging victories". They relatively rarely attack those they consider far weaker then them, and often make specific pledges on their own pride to increase the "challenge" their tasks pose. This one, by her tattoos and markings, pledged to not speak direct lies, and to not hide or conceal her true nature when it comes to seducing, recruiting or corrupting mortals."
The draconic creature pauses, "If that sounds a bit like Fae or Devils to you, yes it is, and they perceive themselves to be aggressively encroaching upon specifically infernal turf."

Varvara Ulyanova Vladimirovna |

At least we didnt get the benefit of that little Mrs. Walking Boob-armor -advertisement telling us how she probably tricked a Gylou into grappling her and then omnomnoming the Gylou from inside of the tentaclecage. Probably would have painted or more likely conjured a picture of it as well.
Although she is fairly reasonable for a Demoness, most of the horned freaks are insanely impulse driven and slaves to whatever desire made them demons in the first place. Of course, being more reasonable also means more dangerous.
She pauses
Auso is dead, and where are the others? And we need to figure out what to do with the loot, the sarcophagus and the scrolls...
She deflates
What a f@$$ing day.......

GM Wolf |

The half dragon explains, "There is a beneficial spirit of a tempest of the Five Winds. It should have attached itself to one of you. Hmmmm, well we will have to find out which of the other allies that may be the moldspeaker. Um... Akin would you please move the slab on this sarcophagus. We do need to find the scroll of Kakishron."
With a few arcane words and moving of his hands, he casts a spell and his eyes begin to glow blue. Then he
6d20 ⇒ (18, 17, 18, 10, 19, 6) = 88 +11
He states with astonishment after a few moments of scrutiny, "This glistening suit of mithral, is in fact a +3 mithral chainmail. Oh and this is a periapt of Wisdom +4. This immense greataxe is a greataxe of
life stealing, this weapon is identical to a sword of life
stealing, save that it is a greataxe instead of a sword. Yes! Here is is the wonderful Scroll of Kakishon! This ancient relic is rolled up and tucked into a plain-looking bone scroll tube hidden under the wide blade of the greataxe between Shirak’s ankles. I don't think any of the items are cursed. Though that might take a better sage to figure out. If you don't want the items I will take them all."

Aukan the Goliath |

He enunciates, "A-Khan." Then he moves over and strains against the lid, though it does move slowly as his muscles tighten.
will save: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (7) + 10 = 17
He steps back from the sarcophagus and rubs his arms as if cold. Trying to warm up.

GM Wolf |

The block of stone is Shirak’s sarcophagus, and can be
opened with a DC 20 Strength check. Of course, the ancient
gnoll priestess was much favored by Rovagug, and anyone
who tampers with her burial site runs the risk of being
struck with Shirak’s Curse. The person most directly
responsible for opening the sarcophagus must make a DC
20 Will save to resist the curse—failure indicates that the
victim feels a cold chill as his body temperature drops.
From this point on, until the curse is lifted, all spells of
the subschool of healing cannot aid the PC. Instead of
providing healing, such effects force the cursed character
into a fit of sickness, nauseating him for 1d4 rounds. This
curse functions at CL 10th, and lasts until removed or until
the contents of Shirak’s crypt are restored to their rightful
place and his sarcophagus is closed.
If the moldspeaker is among the party, he feels a
sudden upswelling of excitement and dread at what
could be in the sarcophagus. If he opens the crypt, he
feels the curse attempt to settle on him but Vardishal’s
influence blocks the effect, rendering the curse useless.
Treasure: Within the sarcophagus lie the bones of an
ancient gnoll priestess—Shirak. Beyond the effects of her
curse, she is herself harmless. She wears a glistening suit
of +3 mithral chainmail, a periapt of Wisdom +4, and grasps
in her bony hands the shaft of an immense greataxe of
life stealing, its wide and serrated blades covering her
skeletal feet. This weapon is identical to a sword of life
stealing, save that it is a greataxe instead of a sword. Yet
should the moldspeaker peer into the sarcophagus, he
knows instinctively that only one item within is of any
real value—the Scroll of Kakishon. This ancient relic is
rolled up and tucked into a plain-looking bone scroll
tube hidden under the wide blade of the greataxe between
Shirak’s ankles.

GM Wolf |

He explains, "The Scroll of Kakishron is said to be the prison world for Ja... I can't remember his exact name maybe Jafar, no it was more than that. Anyways it is the prison world for the previous owner of the complex here. An Efreet and a very evil one at that. He was using wishes to do dark magic of one kind or another. Look around at these bodies obviously affected by wish magic."

GM Wolf |

As the group ventures further into the complex of tunnels you continue to find many dead bodies.
Along that path you see Merainaa pull an item from one of the bodies with a large grin on her face.

Varvara Ulyanova Vladimirovna |

Lets get some effing loot :)
str check lets get some loots: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
str check lets get some loots: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22
will save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20

GM Wolf |

Aukan has already opened the tomb. The black half dragon has identified the items, stating what they are and even offered to take them if no one wanted...
The half dragon follows the group was Aukan is ahead of the group. Mariana puts the headband on and it forms into a crown of black thorns. A glitter of red accentuates the thorn tips. She cackles to herself and says, "Thank you for your help, now I must go. I won't forget your kindness!" Shadows seem to consume her. Then the shadows go back to normal leaving the space empty.

GM Wolf |

After recovering from what just went down... each of you feel a calling to a tomb. You may be granted their wish, or find an item under 8K.
Soon after the group has finished looking over the complex of catacombs and head back up to the mansion. Once everyone is within Alexandria steps out. When she returns she alerts you to your new surroundings once you leave the mansion.

Pharos Alexandria |

In a simple tone she says, "Now we are in Kelmarane. No need to travel so hard when you can just teleport and bring everyone with me. Thank you all for such time. Should you wish to stay on as workers for the mansion you may seek us out after three days. We wish to have some time to rest and recover."
