@Hani: Ah, okay. It actually will target KAC because weapons that deal both physical damage (slashing, piercing, or bludgeoning) and energy damage (like sonic) always target KAC.

@Tulgram: Sorry, I overlooked that in your last post. Please assume you know the following.

Tulgram:
Sulphrax must be a salamander. Salamanders are warlike, tech-minded species native to the Plane of Fire. They are prized as crafters and mercenaries, and are sometimes called to the Material Plane by mortal mages. Salamanders are immune to fire and vulnerable to cold (as you'd expect), can see in the dark, can batter and grab foes with their tales, and can cause their weapons to burst into flame.

1 damage every 4 rounds, so to get the 60 damage it would take 240 rounds.

240 rounds of 6 seconds = 1,440 seconds, or 24 minutes.

Considering Zharis spent an hour on the resting tables, I could take a couple of doors in the meantime...

I forget--did we already try to use engineering or computers on these doors? There's got to be a better way.

Can we get control of them from any of the computers back in the hologram area? I remember flubbing up a computer roll there.

Hologram area: Possibly, but if so, the roll is very high. When we were there I got a 25 on computers and a 27 on culture (which are the rolls he said would help us know about the consoles) and could control the door to the hologram room, but not the rooms to the whole complex.

For computers I think that was 3 away from my max, but culture I could do higher... I think I was 8 off max there, so max would be like 35, maybe. It would take a long time to roll that though. :)

We're definitely missing something really easy - perhaps the doors open only to robots, or maybe they'll open up for the mummmy. Did anyone say "Friend" in elvish in front of them?

Sorry I have been MIA for a few days. I have been extra busy with work. It's actually a fun thing--I work at a library, and I am in charge of a special Dungeons and Dragons day this Saturday for adolescents and teens. I have been creating maps, writing adventures, and printing miniatures.

I'm good with exploring all the hexes if you guys want to. I was just going with the idea of going straight back because I thought that was the big event of the adventure, but if you all want more, I'm totally in.

Let's try two or three more hexes. We can head back in the general direction of our ship, but take a path just astride of the way we came. We can always cut back over to the familiar path if we need to move more quickly.

Could use some more xp - we are a tad underleveled for a book 4, though we have more PCs than the recommended.

A nice little clarification. I restored to you not 5 HP, but 10. I forgot that as an instinctive biohacker I use wisdom instead of intelligence for medicine - which means that additional HP comes from wisdom and not from intelligence too.

Howdy gang!

I would like everyone to know that I will be away at a game convention in the midwest U.S. this weekend (CinCity Con in Cincinnati, Ohio).

I might eat some GOETTA, a Cincinnati specialty.

I plan for this weekend to be a very analog experience. I'll be rolling REAL dice and I'll have an actual paper character sheet in front of me!

In other words, this analog experience precludes much posting here.

I do hope to make a couple of posts tonight and tomorrow night.

You've completed your term of service, and I can give you each an honourable discharge. But why not sign up for another tour of duty?
