I will be travelling between September 4 and September 8. During that time, I expect my posting to be very limited, if not non-existent.
Please feel free to bot Gunther as necessary.

Hi, everyone. Unfortunately, I need to withdraw from the game.
Real life has risen up to bite hard and I can't be certain that I will be able to dedicate the time to do the game justice.
It appears as though there will still be 4 players and the game can continue.
My apologies about the last minute change to plans.

I don't mind (you missed anyway), but the dice bot seems to have taken issue.

RNG says Grepodak needs to go down.

Also trying to plan a bit for my turn, and to make sure I don't hurt my allies.
https://2e.aonsrd.com/feats/624-whirling-swipe
This says that "You’re excluded from the burst." would that include allies if I am standing over them?
The ability from Close Quarter's Fighting style is worded differently:
As long as you're wielding a two-handed melee weapon, you meet the requirements for soldier feats that require an area weapon. When you're using a soldier feat, any two-handed melee weapon you're wielding gains area (burst 5 feet), and you're unaffected by your attacks with that weapon. You can make a melee Strike with a two-handed melee weapon instead of a ranged Strike with primary target or any soldier feat. In addition, you gain the Whirling Swipe feat.
I assume if I use Close Quarter Fighting's option it would still hurt allies in my affected squares, but unsure on Whirling Swipe.
Regardless of how this is ruled, I'll make sure not to include my allies in my bursts.

It says "you", not "your square", so if you happen to be sharing a space with someone, they would be affected.

Full disclosure: I ended up playing this scenario last night with a different PC. Assuming others have not yet completed it, I will refrain from taking initiative on substantive decisions going forward.

Sadly, the Starfinder Society is not as generous as the Pathfinder Society. No provisions, no free Lore skill, and no GM rewards to increase hero points. Grepodak can stabilize with a hero point if necessary, and two of you are trained in Medicine.

I will traveling over the next few days and through the weekend. I will try to post by phone, but feel free to bot Gunther as necessary.
