Lighting!
The lines on the map represent the prevailing lighting conditions. On your side of the yellow line is bright light. Between the yellow and purple lines is dim light, and past the purple line is darkness.
A torch, wayfinder or light spell sheds bright light in a 20 foot radius and dim light in a 20 foot radius beyond that.
Please consider your character's ability to see in various lighting conditions and number of hands occupied during this encounter.
Dancing Sunbeam and Rannarix have the chance to do something before the encounter starts.

@GM - this scenario looks pretty straightforward to run. I might just run it myself after we're done...

I'm pretty sure all the X-01 scenarios going forward will be like this, as they are designed as introductions. SFS 4-01 was also "go to the place, do the thing there, repeat".

We are now in the tidying up phase of the scenario, so please make sure that your information on the sign in sheet is correct.

Downtime; Performance: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11
argh...
Info in the signup sheet looks good!

Hero Point to Behcamel for being the best "good cop" I've seen in a long time.
(You each have exactly one roll remaining in the scenario, so use 'em or lose 'em.)

The game has been reported. Please check your page to make sure there are no problems. You do still need to check back in with Venture-Captain Valsin, but unless you try to murder him (please don't), that will not affect anything.
My impression is that I am still supposed to record downtime on your chronicles (at least, that was what happened when I played the special at Gen Con), but either way, if you have a day job, please roll it.

What am I missing here? Sun Fire Boom Boom is level 4, but the numbers you posted are for a level 6 PC.

Earn Income, Games Lore: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
Bechamel invents a sandwich for Jack♢ so he can eat at the card table without getting the cards all sticky.
Jack♢ figures out a way to hide additional aces inside the new sandwich invention, giving him yet another way to cheat at card games, and allowing him to win it big at a local Absalom game night.

I wonder if Jack♢ needs a bodyguard. I'm sure I can be of use when the game inevitably turns ugly...

Sun Fire Boom Boom has the Storied Talent Boon from Horizon Hunters allowing him to earn income at his level (instead of lvl -2)

Rando question: anyone have suggestions for a Bechamel rebuild?
Set in stone: the name, and the background. Everything else is on the table.
Bechamel was originally supposed to be a summoner. I didn't get SoM in time, so I made him an investigator for this game. But now that I have played around with summoner in the past month, I'm rather meh about it.
I'm thinking archer of some kind. Monastic archer stance monk, starlit span magus, and warpriest archer are my front runners.
Alternatively, I could just put him on the backburner for the inventor class (that seems like it would fit his personality really well).

I was really disappointed by monastic archer in actual play but as always YMMV.
Starlit Span Magus does some cool stuff (Do note that the Magus stance only adds damage to melee attacks)
Guns & Gears is just next week so not long to wait there.

What was disappointing about monastic archer in actual play?
I'm okay with not using the Arcane Cascade stance for magus. I rarely feel like I can afford the action to use it, anyway (or maybe I'm just not very good with the magus action economy yet).
I probably won't get G&G until December.

Chronicle sheets are (mostly) HERE. Let me know if you see any problem. (Sorry, Jack, rpgchronicles doesn't like the ♢ symbol, so you get the traditional black square of character not supported.)
Rannarix, I don't see anything about your day job or downtime. Once you either give me that or point to where I missed it, I will upload your sheet.
Sun Fire Boom Boom

Damage was underwhelming and Monk multi attack saves you actions which you frequently don't need because as an archer you have less need to move than melee character.
Taking a 2 action spell might have helped make things feel better and more interesting though.

Rannarix' chronicle has been uploaded. I will leave this up for another 24 hours in case there are questions or further RP.
Thank you all. This was quite the enjoyable scenario. Enjoy the rest of your con!

At some point, I will be popping into Cottonseed to start a new game, but I have a SFS scenario on VTT tonight, so I am focusing on that.
