Open recruitment for 3-5 seats in #4-06, The Green Market (Levels 5-9). One seat is reserved for roll4initiative/Rakesh Manidhar.
When an ally of the Society reports that her sister's business is being harassed by the Aspis Consortium in the Varisian city of Korvosa, a team of Pathfinder agents is dispatched to the Green Market to assist. What they find there is more than simple strong-arming and intimidation, however. What mysterious forces bring the popular market its unlikely success, and can the PCs stop the Aspis Consortium from gaining control of what could become a lucrative resource for the rival organization?
1. This game is part of a requested series: #4-06, #6-21, #7-03, and #7-09, all Level 5-9 scenarios. Characters that are available to play all four scenarios (no higher than level 8.2, none of those chronicles assigned to the character) will be prioritized during recruitment. Players that are available to play all four scenarios (switching characters between scenarios) will have second priority. Matching Rakesh's tier (which I believe is 8-9) also carries some priority. I don't anticipate this game being oversubscribed to the degree that more tiebreakers than that would be necessary, but if so, I'll decide by party composition.
2. Posting expectations are standard: 1 post/weekday, 1 post/weekend. In my experience, this will lead to each individual game being 5-7 weeks long, meaning the series would last 20-28 weeks - running from early August through approximately January 2022. These characters would be locked out of Gameday X, and, if there's another convention that begins in January 2022, I don't anticipate rushing the end of this series (the end of #7-09 is fantastic). Note the games would run through several major US holidays - Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Posting expectations will decrease during those major US holidays, and I will likely not be posting at all between Christmas and New Year's Day.
3. I will be frank in that if the games go high tier, they will be the highest tier games I have ever run (I've only run one other 8-9 and it did not go well, and I have never run 10-11). I will be trusting the players quite a bit to refrain from taking advantage of my ignorance. My highest character is level 9 and my second highest is level 8 so this is pushing the boundaries of what I've played. Just being honest.
4. Recruitment is not first-come-first-served. I will leave recruitment open for at least 72 hours (into Sunday, US Pacific Time) and everyone who applies during that time frame will be considered equally. I'll make choices either Sunday or Monday, with an eye on starting the game mid- or late- next week (I haven't purchased the scenarios yet).
5. To apply, just make sure your character sheet is filled out, and make a post with your character including your availability for all four scenarios. If you'd like to apply with multiple characters, that's fine, but unless you have multiple characters in tier that can play all four scenarios, chances are I will go with the highest priority characters as outlined above. If there are characters/players that cannot play all 4 scenarios, please make it crystal clear in your post; I will piece together partial applications if there's no quorum of complete applications.
Fuzzfoot Hogan |
Orphaned on the streets of Absalom at a very young age, Fuzzfoot grew up with thugs and ruffians. Being the runt of the pack, he quickly learned to use his wits and charm to keep him out of trouble. His keen eye and intellect also allowed him to pick up a few tricks.
Just made level 8 (I think I need to audit the online profile to make sure it is up to date), Fuzzfoot is primarily a traps and knowledge base, with some bomb support for combat. Not a great face, but can act as a backup in that compacity.
Son of Cayden |
Son of Cayden is a 6th level melee bard (arcane duelist; STR and CHA, and with inspire courage +2). He's available for all 4 adventures:
#4-06: The Green Market (5-9)
#6-21: Tapestry's Toil (5-9)
#7-03: Bronze House Reprisal (5-9)
#7-09: Blackros Connection (5-9)
He's at 16 XP right now, so if he survives, would go up to 7th level after Tapestry's Toil. I know that's a little behind the 8-9 target, but hey, bard, with +2/+2! everybody loves a weapon atk & dmg boost! ;)
The idea of a mini campaign is very appealing! thank you for offering these scenarios!

Holy cow! I can't believe I haven't played or GMd any of these scenarios!
Well, I would facepalm if you had played any of these since YOU REQUESTED THEM lol. It was a few weeks ago, but I remembered - I've played three of them, so I'm happy to GM all 4.
If you want to pay it forward, I see a lot of requests for lower level stuff, but I just don't have any level 1-3 characters any more so I've been prioritizing 3-7s and 5-9s. It's not the end of the world if I can't use the GM credit but I'd prefer to.
Rakesh Manidhar |
Hi, everyone! Just a little FYI why I chose these scenarios and something you might want to consider when choosing your PC.
#4–06: The Green Market.
Aspis Consortium in the Varisian city of Korvosa.
(No faction-specific storyline)
#6–21: Tapestry's Toil.
Content in “Tapestry’s Toil” contributes directly to the Year of the Sky Key metaplot as well as the ongoing storyline of the Grand Lodge faction.
#7–03: The Bronze House Reprisal.
Aspis Consortium... [and] one of its masterminds: the gold agent Maiveer Sloan.
(No faction-specific storyline).
#7–09: The Blakros Connection.
Content in "The Blakros Connection" also ties into a special metaplot element from Pathfinder Society Special #6-98: Serpents Rise. Players who have completed that special event are encouraged to bring its Chronicle sheet when playing this adventure.
Rakesh is my attempt at building a "switch-hitter" ranger, starting in 2012. He did a lot of Aspis & Grand Lodge scenarios previously, so I'm just continuing the tradition. This will be his first PbP game!
I look forward to gaming with you in this mini-campaign!
Brady Torquatus |
Hi! Brady is a level 6 Brawler that--as a member of The Exchange--has some journal card reasons to play scenarios that feature the Aspis Consortium; I'd love to submit him for consideration. He is 6.0, so will be level 7 only for the last scenario in this run. Brady is available for all 4 of these scenarios; I've only ever played one of them, but it was a CORE run so creates no conflicts.
I have played 6-98, so will be able to bring a Chronicle sheet from that to the final scenario of this run.
Brady Torquatus |
This nerdy wizard is currently at exactly 8.2. (needs to be levelled after playing a Thornkeep level) and, as a player, I haven't played any of these except Tapestry's Toil but I have some spare Star Replays I could use.
Is this a 1st Edition PC? Grand Archive is a 2nd Edition faction.
