I'm slightly confused by the turn order; did Azira post actions when it wasn't her turn? It says it's Meri's and Thesius's turn and she seemed to go right before the last gm post too. Not that i mind too much but that would mean any healing she does wouldn't happen yet... or does it?

I was a bit confused too, but I think the resolution was that her Round 3 turn was to Lay on Hands herself and taunt the minotaur. Her most recent post hasn't happened yet because it's not her turn in Round 4 yet. But that or something like it (LoH herself twice, move?) will be her turn in Round 4.

@Elliot- so, the thing is, I'm an idiot. Your assessment, and Verene's explanation, are correct: in round 3 I healed myself and taunted the minotaur, then I posted my round 4 action out of order because I'm dumb and wasn't paying enough attention to who was told to post. When my turn comes around for round 4, I'll likely still be taking a similar set of actions to those I posted (depending on what all transpires between now and then).

@everyone: I included this in my gameplay post but thought it was worth pointing out here in the hopes that everyone will see it. I just used a mythic power that lets everyone take a free move action (or 5' step) right now on my turn. I know that may slow down our progress a bit (sorry) but hopefully it'll also help us get into position to safely lure these things into the room so we can kill them.

@GM- sorry for the delay, I've been hemming and hawing about whether or not to use that ability for fear of slowing things down (which, of course, only served to slow us down more). Wulfric's previously posted action will remain unchanged.

Sounds fair to me. The free 5-foot step will definitely cause some slowdown, but I think it should be... alright?

Although, unfortunately, it does mean that it might impact one of the minotaurs' actions, so I will have to hold off. I don't think Merixia will move, and Elliot might move towards the pit, but Thesius' move might matter.

I am so tempted to just move in and pounce the minotaur using Azira's bonus movement. With blur and mirror image, Elliot can probably tank for at least one turn, and he can fly avove the trap.

Yeah, if Merixia were capable of spellcasting right now, she would have cast shield of wings last round. I definitely plan to take Furious Spell at the next opportunity. I wonder if Furious Spell would work with Divine Metamastery while raging?

@Merixia On the previous page, your list of precombat buffs included shield of wings, so i assume you have it active and can fly? Unless you went back on that afterwards or it was removed of course.

I went back to read my pre-combat buffing posts, and I did not end up casting shield of wings since we portaled right into the keep. Alas.

DR does not apply to falling damage, no. DR applies only to damage from "normal attacks" (and, per the FAQ, to specifically typed physical damage from spells.) Falling damage is environmental damage, and is untyped to boot.

Additionally, cleric Vhane might need to make a Reflex save and/or take some damage from a falling object for its body, since the minotaur is a Large (10'x10') creature and the pit is also only 10'x10'.

I realize Elliot trying to catch the fleeing minotaur is a risky play, as it's unclear where it went or if there is backup in the halls where it ended up. But technically, if it used one of its actions acasting, he should be able to catch up to it, and the minotaur wouldn't be able to open a door that round to flee through, if any. Elliot is also reasonably tanky due to mirror images and blur and can probably take the minotaur in a 1 vs 1.

We're running 1e for this one. I have the 2e stuff from the Kickstarter sitting over here though. Unfortunately I never played much 2e though so it's still a fairly new system for me.

Well, that was extremely unlucky for Elliot and almost couldn't have gone any worse (there's less than a 0.6% chance of the minotaur actually triggering a crit on him, I think). I think if all enemies were invisible that the math works out except that the enemies do not seem to be rolling for the concealment from Blur except for the minotaur? Do they have a way to bypass concealment rolls?

I guess it's mostly relevant in that if concealment is rolled before mirror images, which I think it does, the first enemy has a 20% chance to not remove a mirror image which might spare Elliot from the crit as he'd have one additional image. It might also save a second image against the second invisible attacker.

Yeah, I wasn't sure whether to roll for concealment when it came to misses - like, do mirror images have the blur on them? I decided that since the tieflings missed the initial rolls, they wouldn't roll the miss chance. Thoughts on whether that should be the case, folks?

I think this question of the the interaction between blur and mirror image has come up before and there's an FAQ answer: "Miss chances generally only apply when an attack hits. For most miss chances, such as blur, there’s no need to roll them if an attack would hit a mirror image because a hit and a miss by 5 or less would both pop the image. The only exception to this rule is blink and similar effects, which already have some other exceptions from normal miss chances due to moving you to another plane (for instance, unlike other miss chances, blink protects you from targeted effects). The 50% chance to be on the Ethereal Plane protects both the caster and the images."

So, miss chances aren't rolled unless the attack would be a hit. The first image does get destroyed by the enemy Elliot then knocked out with his attacks. The math checks out to me. Marathon of a post, great job GM! Sorry about the crit, Elliot. You're about to get some backup though.

It's just a DC 10 Acrobatics check with a running start, Merixia, as part of another move action. I think you have a decent shot at it with haste, as I mentioned in my previous gameplay post.

It's so tempting to apply to your new game, GM, but I've already played Hell's Rebels through as a player in my in-person group that I'm now running Strength of Thousands for. I shouldn't try to take a spot that could go to someone who's never gotten to play the AP. I loved that character and that campaign though, and I'm sure you'll do an incredible job with it, Sensen. Your players are very lucky. :)

Since it's Merixia's turn first I'll hold off on posting. I guess it also matters whether or not Elliot receives any sort of healing which would influence his actions. He can heal himself once during the day as a swift action for 1d8+8 by dismissing the spell that grants him +8 max hp but 17 hp starting out is kinda precarious.
