For six years, since the Fourth Mendevian Crusade's whimpering end, the demons of the Worldwound and the crusaders have engaged in only minor skirmishes across the border. The crusaders, confident in the protection of their mystic network of wardstones and with a staggeringly low morale after the failures of the previous crusade, have done little to actively hinder their ancient foes.
However, the demons do not remain stagnant, and already a plan is in motion to tear open the Material Plane and unleash the Abyss on Golarion in full. Not only Mendev, but the whole of Golarion needs more than heroes - it needs legends.
