There is a math error in my last post; the crit confirm roll should be a 28, not 23, as the second attack is made at full bab and is not an iterative. I had saved and copied my previous combat post to use as a macro, but the crit there was from the iterative attack at +18 instead of the normal +23.

Thesius ain't necessarily strong enough to effectively throw Nurah over a pit, so he's staying behind in case enemies come rushing in. They've plenty of noise to alert the place.

Merixia does not, in fact, fully kill the tiefling, for the record. She almost does, but they're still up.
EDIT: Verene - while you're probably correct that he doesn't have line of sight, he might - the maximum depth for create pit is 30 feet.

Guess I should do a coup de grace damage roll, since Verene's physical damage really is quite pitiful.

So, if the enemy survives this additional damage in terms of negative HP equal to Constitution score etc., she must still make a DC 15 Fort save or die.

Anyways, while I appreciate your characters' desire to go save the crusaders, I am not wholly sure I'm up to running another combat without some downtime. Especially since [REDACTED]. Not sure how to justify that IC, but this is a concern. And I do want to post, I just... don't know what'll be happening in the meantime.

Well, hopefully someone else notices Verene's good-faith effort was ineffective and puts the tiefling out of her misery then.
We definitely should not walk into another combat without healing. But I don't think our resources are depleted enough that any of us want to leave the Citadel for the day yet, either, and rescuing the prisoners is the next logical thing to do since we know where they are. Our other goals are vaguer — find the Sword of Valor, find and kill the two other demon commanders (the succubus Kiranda and the shadow demon Eustoyriax.)

Okay, a couple questions for our GM now that I'm starting to feel human again.
1) About how long has it been since the last combat? Which buffs are still active? Has the Rage hangover worn off? (I'm guessing no, but one must always ask the GM to be sure.)
2) Can I say Merixia did some channeling before the combat, or no?

There have been four rounds since the end of the previous combat, at least as of the surprise round. I might adjust it to 5-6 rounds, though? I forget. Either way, the rage hangover probably hasn't worn off, though I didn't put it in your status.
And yes, you can have channeled all three of your channels if you want.

Ah, thanks for remembering the miss chance, GM. Additionally, because the mist grants concealment, creatures within it cannot be sneak attacked: "A rogue cannot sneak attack while striking a creature with concealment." Unless these tieflings have some special ability or feat that says otherwise, like Shadow Strike. I/Verene was specifically trying to defend her friends against sneak attacks because multiple tiefling rogue-looking types just attacked Elliot. (Of course, he has blur up, so has concealment, so already would have been protected from sneak attacks himself if any of those attacks had hit him.)

He could be in the square directly south (left) of Verene and I think hit Orange, but it is confused a bit by the fact that the tieflings have been placed so that they overlap with Joran Vhane, and I'm not sure which square each of the three of them is supposed to be in.

If you prefer, Thesius could have moved up and then tried to drag Joran into the room to get him away from the cultists.
I generally use the magnify tool to blow up the image to look at the area I need which in turn helps with moving my character.

I see. I moved the tokens so hopefully it is a bit more clear. In that case, Thesius can attack Green, but it might gain a cover bonus to AC depending on how strict we want to be with that bit of the wall that is actually sticking into Joran's square.
Generally, I like this map fine. I haven't had trouble interacting with it using Ctrl+ and Ctrl- to zoom in and out on a computer. But it's important to have something that works for everyone.

I think the rules note that it doesn't provoke, but I'm good with likely missing the attack. It's what I started with and I would prefer he get stabbed then Verene.
Although, if you wish to rule otherwise. I'm cool with that too. Just would want to know in case I try to do it in the future.

Man, I'm not fond of botting mythic characters - you all have so many widgets and whatnot that I have no idea what they do, as a rule. Plus, all the bonuses and such are a mess, since I'm never quite sure what goes into them.

Yeah, even just as a player it's really helpful to have a botting section in the profile with all common rolls and their modifiers separated out so whatever doesn't apply can be removed. I have this for Verene - though she doesn't really have attacks, it has her skill rolls, CL rolls, magic missile wand rolls ready to go.
In this case, without spending any additional resources, Elliot can 5-foot step and be in range to full attack the green tiefling with longarm. I think haste is gone though. So he probably can do Spell Combat/Spellstrike for 2 attacks, and one additional iterative attack.

Hey everyone, i'm sorry about my absense as of late. I have been extremely busy meeting multiple end of year deadlines for work with the team and have had barely any time or energy to write. There have been a lot of personnel-related issues like disease, unqualified hirees and such we are tasked with to compensate for on productivity - and things are, at best, hectic. But ultimately it falls to me now to make the best of things and i'm doing what and when i can at the cost of most of my free time.
I hope this situation improves after the coming two weeks, when my vacation starts. I'll try and make some posts if i can but please do not hesitate to bot me.
On the current fight, if the Cultists are not dead yet Elliot would fight to project Joran and Nunah to the best of his ability.

GM, I guess I didn't express things well in my last gameplay post. Thesius already took Joran's weapon(s) and Verene was saying they are not giving them back, but she was offering him 'not having his hands tied' as we go get the prisoners and hopefully get out of here, in exchange for his parole.

Weirdly, having just checked the stats in the AP, it says that Staunton is an antipaladin of Deskari, but he does use the favored weapon of Baphomet, and he has association with the Templars of the Ivory Labyrinth, and he's mentioned as being "[a] hidden disciple of Baphomet" in his background.
... I'm going to go with the background rather than the stats.
