Hah, she's been asleep for age Age now it seems!

I will dig into the submissions required and get something up for tomorrow after I review what roles the group already has filled.

Thanks!

Was going to pitch a recruit, but it looks like you filled up while I was out for my birthday celebration! Good luck and may the Force be with you!

Go ahead and pitch

Sovereign Court

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Rolls:

Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 3, 1) = 15 -> 14
Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 5, 4, 4) = 15 -> 13
Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (4, 3, 5, 5) = 17 -> 14
Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 4, 6, 3) = 15 -> 13
Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (4, 3, 1, 1) = 9 -> 8
Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 4, 1) = 15 -> 14

Really middle-of-the-road, but I can work something out with this.

Looks like you have a Jedi and two scoundrels. My pitch is a human noble, Adran Krell, from Onderon. He is a dissolute member of a semi-influential house, but with the Empire upending lots of the old orders and privileges, he has taken to a bit of space-lane wandering for amusement value (and to avoid "Imperial entanglements" with his family). His family is not directly related to the King or the Senator, so they're considered mostly low-tier courtiers, but like many Onderonian noble houses they have a rich family history including many secrets stretching back to the Beast Wars and the time of Freedon Nadd (ancient legends, for the most part). As a result, the character is principally useful to fringe allies for his wealth and connections, but he has a very small talent for the Force, in the area of mind tricks and illusions, that he'll later develop. (The character is not primed to become a Jedi.)

Bit about me: I've been around the boards for a while now and I'm in many games. (Seen some of your other players around too, hello!) I have a big library of the Star Wars Saga books and I'm happy to help look up material but I'm not a huge stickler for "it must be done THIS way."
The usual place that I diverge from a lot of boards-players is that I don't necessarily agree with the "everyone must post once per day" philosophy; someone just needs to keep momentum. Not every character will have something to add every day, and not every player wants to take the lead. If none of the players are responding, that's usually a signal that the DM needs to toss out a new hook or push someone to make a decision. With that in mind, my characters' level of interaction will depend on how involved they are in current events and how sociable/interactive I'm asked to make them—I try to make sure to give other people interesting ways to get in RP and make decisions, without necessarily forcing the issue or posting just to meet a quota.

It looks like you had the same luck with the dice roller that I did.

Sovereign Court

I tend to have really bad dice luck, which is why I generally prefer point-buy when possible.

Sovereign Court

Also worth adding, if the pitch gets a "nah," I am always happy to go back and do something else.

A noble should add great skill and complexity to the game.

I think that we are still waiting to see what Storyteller has in mind.

Yeah, RL been a bit hectic lately. I usually play a Scoundrel or a Jedi, this time around I'd like to do something different. Want to be a Clone Soldier with a grudge against the Empire.

Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (4, 3, 6, 1) = 14 = 13
Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 1, 6, 1) = 13 = 12
Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 2, 3) = 15 = 13
Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 2, 5, 3) = 16 = 14
Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 4, 6) = 21 = 17
Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 2, 6, 1) = 11 = 10

Bad batch

Oh dang, yeah we used Point Buy in Sebbik's previous campaign. I'll make the rolls for his stats and rework his character sheet a bit accordingly.

Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 4, 3, 6) = 18 = 15 +2 [INT 17]
Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 4, 3, 3) = 16 = 13 -2 [CON 11]
Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 3, 6, 4) = 16 = 13 [WIS 13]
Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 4, 4, 2) = 12 = 10 [CHA 10]
Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 1, 5) = 16 = 15 +2 [DEX 17]
Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 5, 1, 3) = 12 = 11 [STR 11]

Hmm... not great, but two good scores and those stat boosts will sure be helpful!

Heh, I suppose though I don't have Disney + so I've not watched the show.

I'll have that submission up tonight, between work, my side business, and my daughter I've not had a chance to sit down all week!

I find the series entertaining.

Clone force 99. :)

But I can see myself having an issue with a clone, due to them shooting me down when I was a bit younger, but hey its good for RP. :)

I have yet to watch it. The CLones are not that interesting to me.

This isn't your normal batch of clones.
Its a squad that had various defects but still made good soldiers.

It also starts right before order 66.

HP = 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5

Have to run a few errands, I'll try to finalize the background and equipment tonight. Crunch is all done though.

Ugh, will have to finish tomorrow, got wrapped up in a 2 hour long Magic Game, at least I won so it was worth it.

Nice :)

Sovereign Court

Made an alias for my proposed dissolute nobleman: Ardan Kwinn (tweaked the name a bit). With an inspirational picture.

Once this fight is over we can bring you guys in. We should be dione in the next day or two.

Thanks Quen! I'm just watching the action and munching on popcorn! Either that or bleeding out in my cell... ;)

Great, I will be up and running I think by tonight, work and side business kept me off the boards pretty much all last weekend and this week. With my business, I have to take the business when it comes and if it comes all at once, so be it.

Done.

Now I am going to go pass out!

lol

Dark Archive

Hello, is there any chance you are still looking for one more? I would love to get into a Star Wars game if there happened to be a space available.

ok

^ Real loquacious, is our game master.

:)

Dark Archive

I am primarily interested in playing a Jedi who survived Order 66 by being sent to a small agriculture world to handle a minor diplomatic issue that did not require a more senior jedi or clone troopers. When word of what happened spread he hid and then as soon as he could he found a ship that did not look to closely at who they were taking on to bounce to a different world. He generally tried to lay low and lets the force guide him to avoid trouble. If he ever gets the feeling he is close to getting found he has moved onto another world as quietly as he could.

If there is no room for another Jedi I would be interested in doing a Soldier type character. He would have been trained by one of the outer system planets to help guard against the Separatists as his planet did not warrant clones guarding it. He is an alien so when the clones were replaced he was not accepted into the Empires army and has turned to bounty hunting and guarding shipments to make ends meet.

There is always room for jedi :)

Dark Archive

Awesome. I came to the recruitment board looking for Star Wars.

I am going to be a human as that would be easier to blend in. It looks like people rolled 4 dice and took the best three so I will do that now.

Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 5, 2, 4) = 13 11

Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 1, 5, 3) = 15 14

Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (4, 3, 5, 4) = 16 13

Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 5, 1) = 12 11

Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 4, 4) = 19 15

Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 3, 4, 3) = 16 13

Pretty good.

Background:

Marcus was working through his trials and was sent to handle a small diplomatic mission on the planet of Altimaar. In the middle of his mission news that the Jedi were banned after they had tried to assassinate the Chancellor reached the planet. Realizing this was a problem for him, he took on the name Waylon Stanmore and fled. Waylon hid on the planet for several months before he was able to find a smuggler who needed someone with mechanical skills and did not really care about his past.

Over the next few years Waylon has tried to keep a low profile as he has searched for any other Jedi. He mostly stays in small ports and if he thinks someone is onto him, or the Empire's forces arrive, he finds someone who is leaving and jumps planet before anyone can claim the bounty on his head.

Hello, we are looking for a few replacement characters for a Star Wars SAGA system game. We are going off a modified version of the Dawn of Rebellion game.

So far we have 2 Jedi in the Group, a Noble who is Force Sensitive, and a pilot scoundrel. We are looking for maybe a splicer and a soldier type of character to replace some characters who have left the group.

It’s been years since I did anything with Saga Edition, but I always liked it as a system. I’ll look at some possibilities.

ok

Could you give me some more information? What level is the group at, how are you determining stats, any special rules I should know about, what’s going on in the campaign right now, etc?

Complete newb when it comes to SAGA, but have played Star Wars d6. Is that similar?

Might be interested in playing a soldier, someone who's NOT Force sensitive, you know, just to bring balance to the group. lol

Like Quach, I'm definitely interested in some details on character creation and what's happening in your current storyline.

Here is the post with the original recruitment info. Notably, we roll for stats, instead of using an array or points.

The group is currently level 4.

Our team is working for the nascent Rebellion, trying to track down technology or people of interest and stop the Empire from doing the same. So far we have spectacularly failed at every task given to us.

First question: Do you have any Wookies, and second question: Do you want one? :D

I'm ok if the answer's no, but I figured "Why not ask?" Right?

We need a trandoshan bounty hunter, lol.

We have mostly humans and a cathar.

One of the humans, the Noble is Force Sensitive while 2, the Cathar and another human, are Jedi.

The group has caught the attention of the Inquisitors.

Quen Pah wrote:

That could be cool. I could do a Trandoshan (T'doshok), either a soldier or maybe a scout.

Trandoshan soldiers are rad. (At least, I had fun playing one.)

Our two Jedi are basically learners with incomplete training who escaped Order 66. One is Cathar (Dreamchaser), one is human (Waylon).

I play the Force-sensitive noble. He is a dissolute wastrel and socialite from Onderon with a wealthy lineage, and he inherited a small number of ancient tomes and artifacts from his family heritage. (This goes back to the Freedon Nadd wars and the Beast Wars of Onderon.) Teeeeeechnically some of the stuff that I do is old Sith sorcery, but stripped of their moral context.

We also have a human scoundrel (Kol) who is a spacer/pilot type.

If you need references for the Saga edition of Star Wars, you can find it all here.

I'm thinking maybe a classic Mandalorian mercenary (Soldier). What species is he? "Who cares? The beskar is my real skin." (ie, I haven't decided.) Alternatively, maybe a combat droid. Or wait, why not both!? A droid in beskar! That might be fun.

4d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 2, 2) = 9 7
4d6 ⇒ (6, 4, 1, 2) = 13 10
4d6 ⇒ (3, 4, 3, 2) = 12 12
4d6 ⇒ (6, 5, 4, 2) = 17 15
4d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 3, 3) = 9 8
4d6 ⇒ (3, 2, 4, 4) = 13 11

Eww. I think that's bad enough for a reroll.

4d6 ⇒ (1, 3, 4, 2) = 10 9
4d6 ⇒ (4, 4, 5, 6) = 19 15
4d6 ⇒ (3, 3, 6, 2) = 14 12
4d6 ⇒ (2, 5, 6, 1) = 14 13
4d6 ⇒ (3, 5, 6, 6) = 20 17
4d6 ⇒ (5, 1, 6, 3) = 15 14

Thats better.

I'd be willing to consider a slicer or multiclass soldier/slicer, depending on how slicers work in your game. Never played one.just don't want to get stuck as a hacker guy that is a helpless target during combat or just always stuck in a chair, on the radio with the team in the field. (Bad memories of an old ShadowRun campaign come to mind)

Still likely to play a Trandoshan, though.

So far we haven't done a lot of slicing in the middle of combat. If you want to play a combat slicer, multiclass as a scoundrel/soldier; this gives you access to slicing talents (from the scoundrel class) but a slightly improved attack bonus (from the soldier class). Which one is your first level/starting class determines whether you have more skills (scoundrel) or more weapon and armor proficiencies (soldier).

Most of our slicing to date has just been making Use Computer checks to find information.

The Exchange

I'd give it a shot, think it'd be fun to play an old clone soldier, let go from the Empire, disenfranchised, short on life and willing to die for one last chance to stick it to the Empire that used him and his brothers up before kicking them to the space curb.

Its not a trandoshan bounty hunter, but he could still get to bounty hunter eventually.

Stats: 4d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 1, 6) = 13 12
Stats: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 4, 5, 3) = 17 14
Stats: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 4, 5, 3) = 18 15
Stats: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 5, 4) = 17 15
Stats: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 4, 1) = 13 12
Stats: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 4, 1) = 16 15

Hot damn, those seem pretty decent for stats.
