Ok, this is the crunch for RH's Droid Technician. I am still working on the fluff. He is a heavily modified LE-Series repair droid. The LE is the series, M stands for modified and 08c-395 is his serial number. He pronounces it Lemm Oh'Eightsy. Image
Quen Pah, I'm not super familiar with the Saga game rules, please take a look at his sheet and let me know if I need to change anything. followed the 'Sheet' that GM SuperTumbler provided as best as I could. Thanks for that GM SuperTumbler
The backstory so far: Lemm awoke on a nearly destroyed derelict ship with his memory wiped. He was able to get enough power working to keep himself charged until he was found by a scavenger ship. Due to having a locked access, He is still trying to find out why he would voluntarily let himself be wiped, who his owner was and what happened.
If Robbidon Jaas found the ship, they've been working together ever since.
I plan on finishing the fluff after Christmas. I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and that Santa brings that new blaster your hoping for.

Heh. Ok. DUMB question. Pretty sure I already know the answer.
Are we using the rules from the website link you gave us or from THIS book?
Because I have that book and had started working on Robbidon, assuming that we were using that book, and he's turning out quite differently than if we use the rules from your link.
...lol, obviously.
I'm an idiot.

Yeah. It became instantly obvious when I started looking the rules you shared over. Like I said, sometimes, I'm an idiot.
As an aside, I watched Solo again last night with this game in mind. Sorta setting the mood for this character. :D

Do any of you who are planning on playing Jedi have a backstory of how you were able to initially survive Order 66?
Yes. Basically, still a padawan at the time, the character was with his master in a very, very outer ring planet, and his master sacrificed himself drawing the attention of the Empire while sending his padawan away with instructions to hide his Force sensitivity.
The character should have been around 15 at the time, so old enough to understand the implications of not following his master's advice.
He'll be a Lightsaber duelist, something easier to train and camouflage than pure and hard force powers.
| Quen Pah |
Here's the best way to watch it: Forget that Harrison Ford is Han Solo. Then, it's a pretty good movie. The actor playing the lead didn't try to mimic Ford hardly at all, and it upset a lot of people...me included the first time I watched it.
But it's a good flick, nonetheless.
How did Donald Glover do?

Young Dreamchaser was in training to become a solder in one of the tribes scouts.
He had just completed the classes on riding one of the sabercats
when a strange ship landed, and an even stranger alien got off.
After introducing himself to the village elders, they called Dreamchaser into the hut and advised him that he had to go with the stranger, where he was to be taken to Coruscant and the Jedi Temple.
With the clone wars in full swing, he went with his master Tanar Jenn to one of the outer rim planets. (Ryloth)
It was on Ryloth that order 66 was enacted and both him and Tanar Jenn were shot down by the clone troopers. He awoke several hours after the battle.
Knowing the results of letting the empire know he has power, he picked up both a blaster pistol from a fallen clone and his Tanar Jenns saber.
He then disappeared into the background of the planet.
The scars that he picked up from when he was shot down have drawn some attention, but he jokes about it while he tries to blend into the background keeping his most potent weapon hidden, and realizing that he does not have the solid training that he needs.
So he travels around hiding his identity and eventually running out of money on Krai – Ven station and hoping to work passage onto somewhere else.

How is your Hutt going to get around?
There was a sheet, a Google Doc, on the first page of this thread.

“You only need one chance. With this one chance, a skilled performer can turn an assured defeat into a sound victory, or make the defeat even worse. But if you were going to be defeated anyway, what’s to lose?”
Master Mokke always said that. He was a brilliant orator and an enthusiast duelist, always going with the flow until the right moment appeared. His big moment arrived during the execution of Order 66. Sensing a big, big disturbance in the Force, he sent his padawan away and made him keep his profile low. Then he faced the stormtroopers using his favourite weapon: his voice.
So Christon ended up stranded in Actlyon, without his master and almost no one to trust. He only had a second class lightsaber and a holocron with some fencing lessons, both inherited from Master Mokke. He quickly set up on abandoning his Jedi persona and turning into a young mechanic apprentice, finding a job in a local scrapyard.
The Force acts in mysterious ways, and not long after, he found another orphaned apprentice, a young Twi’lek called Jukurrpa. They both shared experiences, help and even some other things too private to be explained here. Jukurrpa had her own plans, though, and one day some months after Christon woke up to find Jukurrpa gone, no sign of her... nor Christon’s holocron.
He quickly freaked out. Will she tell the Empire about him? Will she be captured and forced to do it? Why did she take the holocron? He decided it was time for a change, and no Jedi was going to go fetch him apparently. With the idea that other holocrons should be able to be found somewhere else in the galaxy, he started his pilgrimage. Taking care not to travel too close to the Core while following any rumour he could gather about possible Jedi relics, Christon involuntarily accepted the burden of perpetuating the order through the dark times.

“You may not like me but that is a mind over matter thing. I don’t mind and you really don’t matter.”
Born to fly anything with jets, Lakoneous quickly made a name for himself among the star lanes near Nar Shadaaa. He raced anything that was mechanical and flew. This was his past time but his real job was that of a sentry pilot for a large mining ship conglomerate flying a modified Corellian YT-2400. On the side he would bring in goods for several of the Hutt syndicates and others whom were willing to pay his fees.
A few decades back, Lakoneous broke a deal with Jistr the Hutt over delivering goods. His ship crashed (rumored to have been sabotage) and the goods were lost. He refused to cover the shipment because he had a suspicion that the goods were illegal. Outlawed from the Nar Shadaaa, on threat of death by the Hutts, he left in a hurry taking a job as a pilot on a commercial hauler. He has been wandering the mid and outer rim regions for almost 50 years.
He found out recently that a bounty has been placed on his head. He assumes it is Jistr the Hutt. He has narrowly escaped one attempt to take him alive and killed a rodian hunter whom attempted to ambush him upon his arrival at Krai Ven Station, the last stop in his journey before he ran out of the majority of his creds and work. Now he is looking to refill both his belly and his pocket book. Eventually he would like to buy another ship and fly the lanes a free trader.
Think I got everything. Let me know if I did something wrong or didn't get something.

Interesting! Here's a character that I made a while ago (and admittedly for the D6 WEG system), but might be able to be converted to Saga. His backstory might be set a bit later in the timeline, but take a look at it and let me know if it's something that will work for the setting.
4d6 ⇒ (2, 4, 6, 5) = 17= 15
4d6 ⇒ (3, 4, 5, 1) = 13= 12
4d6 ⇒ (6, 5, 3, 5) = 19= 16
4d6 ⇒ (1, 2, 3, 6) = 12= 11
4d6 ⇒ (6, 5, 2, 1) = 14= 13
4d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 4, 4) = 13= 11
Rufus Griller grew up on Corriad VIII, a pleasant planet with a varied biosphere located in the Tangrene sector. His father, Royald Griller, was the construction foreman for a company specializing in duraplast buildings, causing him to move around a lot.
Rufus' prized possession was a T-16 Skyhopper, one he used while exploring the various terrains of Corriad. His younger siblings, Tash and Yeena, also got T-16s when they got older.
Rufus turned his T-16 joyriding into a business, ferrying messages and small packages across oceans, deserts, and grasslands. He also joined a Skyhopper racing troupe, which did aerial stunts and racing shows across the planet. His best friend and fierce rival was J.T. Keehax. Unfortunately, J.T. was involved in a midair collision with another troupe member during a show, losing his right arm and eye in the crash that cost the other pilot his life. J.T. retired, embittered, and Rufus quit the troupe, unable to shake the images of the fiery crash.
Returning to the courier service, he scraped by for a while. His first encounter with the Rebellion was during this time, ferrying a white-haired woman from one secret meeting point to another. They talked about the state of the Galaxy, and she sowed the first seeds of Rebellion in him. But he was stubborn, and they didn't take root for a long time.
The courier service dried up, however, so Rufus answered the call to service at 20 years of age. He entered the Imperial Navy as a cadet, hoping to be a TIE pilot. He was far from the top of his class, but he pulled through when it counted, and joined the 285th fighter group under Cmdr. Dayne Kresko.
The 285th was stationed at Freelanx Port in the Coolenth Sector, and saw little action. Dealing mostly with smugglers and spaceport infractors, Rufus was in a total of two combat missions where opponents shot back, and had no kills.
Despite that, it was a great time for Rufus. He goofed off, stole combat vehicles with his squad members to go on joyrides and hit nightspots, and played practical jokes on his superior officers. Rufus and his squad mates Manny Fomo, Turrip Ellogis, Kal Narin, and Lon Brenx lived the life of the hot shot pilot. Rufus had a long relationship with Lt. Trysti Perrins of Docking Control.
Frustrated by the "transparisteel ceiling," Trysti resigned her commission and left a broken heart in Rufus. His last word about her whereabouts is that she's working at a commercial dock in Hrglic space.
Rufus hid his sorrow in his practical jokes, and made serious enemies in Cmdr. Ivan Corresk and Major Ratrel Porgoficus. Corresk no longer presses his lips against any comlink, and Pofgoficus now knows without any doubt that an AT-AT cannot run on bantha dung. (There are still bootleg holos circulating of an Imperial walker actually "excreting.)"
When Rufus' tour of duty as a TIE pilot ended with very unglamorous marks, his application to officers' training was "misfiled," and he was out on his ear. Rufus found himself blacklisted in Imperial-controlled space. No local defense forces would hire him, but he did find some work flying cloud cars on Bespin. He hated it, and wasn't too sore that he lost his pilot's uniform in a game of sabacc. Arriving to work in civvies got him fired.
Then, while nursing his last drink bought by his last credit, an elegant white-haired woman sat down beside him. He accepted her offer and despite his lackluster record in the Empire's service, the Rebellion offered to keep him flying.
(Bespin can easily be switched to Krai Ven Station.)

Camris here.
Kol DyThrand is my submission.
Human Scoundrel (+2 to Int) L1 with delusions of piloting.
Kol DyThrand wants to be a cynical man, and he really tries. He has a natural sneer permanently engraved on his face (not helping social interactions either). But he has the horrible impulse to ... do the right thing. Setting things to right.
He still loves to work with his hands fixing things. Even hotrodding his speeder bike. He still dreams of flying again.
...In charge of a fighter detachment flying escort to a Czerka Industries mining station, he was ordered to attack and destroy an uplift station that had been taken over by Terrorists.
... The Military, satisfied to blame the whole thing on one guy, cashiered him from the service and then claimed he escaped punishment due to legal technicalities.
... Feeling massively betrayed by his superiors in the Military, he tried to find a new career. His conviction followed him, however, and led to a succession of menial jobs as a mechanic, and the steady growth of cynicism regarding authority.
... He has finally landed a mechanic's job, doing those filthy little jobs that no one else wants, with no possibility of advancement.
But, at night, he dreams of flying again…
As a side job he indulges in speeder bike racing, trying to get into the Swoop Bike circuit.

New to the forums but very experienced player in general and specifically of Saga. Hell, I still have my Starships of the Galaxy on my bookshelf! I'll ruminate on a character a bit and get something up.
Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 5, 4, 5) = 16 > 14
Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 2, 4, 6) = 15 > 13
Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 4, 5, 3) = 18 > 15
Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 6, 3, 5) = 15 > 14
Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 5, 6) = 16 > 14
Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 4, 1, 4) = 15 > 14
Well that's an interesting spread. Now to find a cool concept...

OK finally got Lemm’s background, appearance and personality done. I apologize they are a little thin. I left the background open enough that if we want to work in something we would be able to. I did change his name; the M still designates 'modification' the 7 now represents how many ‘factory modifications’ were made and the ‘d’ represents the need for licensing. The goal is to develop enough of a personality that It will be able to take the prestige class Independant Droid.
LE-M-07d 'woke' in the cockpit of a T-6 shuttle. It knew the interior of the drifting ship because It had been programmed as a mechanic, computer tech and pilot; the schematics of the ship were in a file with hundreds of other vessels as well as other information. What LE-M-07d didn't know was how It got there or why. Nor did it know who it or the ship belonged to nor why the ship was adrift.
Running through Its own diagnostics as It unstrapped from the pilot seat, It instantly activated It's magnetic feet and illuminated It's multispectrum searchlight. Realizing It's locked access had not been tampered with LE-M-07d turned to see the blast doors behind the cockpit were open and twenty feet beyond opened into space. The ship had been torn asunder and It was still aboard. Using It's Scomp Link, It attempted to pull information from the ship's computer, but, what part of the computer system remained aboard the destroyed shuttle had been wiped clean.
After searching what was left of the ship, LE-M-07d deduced the rending of the ship's hull had been caused by laser blasts. But from who and why was still a mystery; as well as why It had been left aboard with It's memory scrubbed. It had been able to salvage the rechargeable batteries and solar wind panels from the small food appliance in the galley to provide energy. Estimating the distance of systems and stars It was able to calculate that It was drifting in or near the Perlemian Trade Route. It would be just a matter of time that a ship stopped to investigate for salvage.
Once off the derelict ship LE-M-07d researched for It's and the ships previous owner, but has so far ran into dead ends tracing It's or the ships information.
LE-M-07d As the designation infers, the droid is a LE Series Repair droid with seven modifications, two of which were designated ‘d’ for Licensed. It's appearance while clearly an LE model is slightly different. It's legs and feet are larger to give space for the magnetic feet and jump servos. On Its head, symmetrical to it's cycloptic eye, It has a port for the multispectrum searchlight. The licensed systems are the locked access and the Taser built into it's right palm. Also the droids blue Durasteel Shell had been upgraded to the off-white alloy of the Duravlex Shell. LE-M-07d also wears the black nylon and plastic utility belt that he carries his tool kit in.
When Le-M-07d’s memory was wiped several months ago, returning it to Its original programming, whatever quirks It had were wiped with it. But, being alone It developed the tendency to ‘whistle’ Corellian opera’s and when nervous or bothered by something begin talking to itself. I’m pretty sure personality will develop quickly. For at least the first level Lemm will be adamantly opposed to doing permanent damage to a living sentient creature. But will be willing to use the taser.
Quen Pah thanks for running the game, please let me know if I can answer any questions. Good luck and good gaming to all.
