Prox Simmoss |

Prox walks up to Ardan as Kol departs and says, "Well it looks like you might need a new pilot. Still might be your lucky day, as I've logged quite few hours of flight time about the galaxy and would still be flying if I hadn't bumped into that same asteroid field you all did. Problem was my bucket of bolts was more sensitive to that kind damage and while I landed and walked away, he didn't make it and I had to sell him for scrap. Now I do not know what your arrangement was with Kol but I am confident we can work out something mutually beneficial. What do you say?"

Waylon Stanmore |

"The Force provides a way. Hopefully, you can make it convincing when we go to try and run the blockade." Waylon says.

Ardan Kwinn |

"The best pilot we have should be the one in that chair," says Ardan seriously. "All of our lives—and Donovaan's—depend upon it."
The nobleman pulls his sporting pistol and checks it, then says, "Let's all get armed up and ready to do this thing."

Prox Simmoss |

"Great, and I am sure we can work out the appropriate compensation for my new role, or should I say dual role on this ship. So you want us to hyperjump in as close to them as possible, is that correct? Oh and I am not one that makes guesses on the intentions of those I work with, only on those I work against. So straight and precise statements without ambiguity that do not require mind reading are always best... captain"
OCC: Okay GM what kind of a roll are we talking here. I kind of need to know if I need aid from every capable pilot or just from Artee. Or maybe we just go aid from everyone regardless.
Lastly ready to punch it whenever everyone else is.

Chalkou |

Sorry, busy weekend. Wasn't expecting the IC thread to blow up all of a sudden.
Chalkou rolls his eyes within his helm. "I hope that by the time we get there, we've got something more concrete than 'the force provides a way.' The force didn't provide a way last time. I'll make sure and get some practice with the new guns before we get there."

Ardan Kwinn |

Ardan chuckles and says, "I'm hardly a tactical expert. Sounds reasonable to me that if we can jump in close, we can try to engage by surprise and hope for a lucky shot before they're ready, maybe even before their shields are up—though I don't know why anyone would run without shields up all the time if they have the option. Anyway, with Chalkou on the gun, the rest of us need to prep for boarding."

Dreamchaser Plainstalker |

Ardan, that sounds like the best course of action.
The other choice is just to bad for us to take
He checks his 2 bandguns and his sabre before taking a seat near the boarding hatch.
Donavaan, we are coming as soon as we can

Prox Simmoss |

"Well then Artee and I will get started on the necessary calculations. It is great that we have recent infromation on the spacial distortion created by the gravity well of that planet as that will allow us to calculate more precisely how to drop in just outside or inside that gravity well spacial distoration and thus not be subject to that distoration which would greatly alter our coarse which most likely would have disastrous after affects. Further the course I am setting should bring us in so close, that we should be able to launch an attack before their full shields are up, as well as come in from the opposite direction from whence we left. Thus hopefully facing more of the rear of the ship, thus lowering the chances of getting immediate return fire. That is unless all their weapons are turret mounted.
Oh and to answer that question about shields, one does not run full shields all the time because full shields require a lot of energy and that will significantly chew into the fuel one has which is limited. So basic shields to protect one from the regular bad things of space and full shields for those rare big baddies that the sensors are going to know about long before they hit. That is unless they suddenly drop in out of hyperspace and open fire, which is what we plan to do. It is also most likely why they parked themselves so close to that planet as most sane folks will not risk the maneuever we are about to perform.
My advice buckle up as it will be a bumpy ride when we come out of hyperspace and then of course we will be in an immediate fire fight with hopefully a forced docking shortly there after. That being said target their engines if they can move we cannot dock."
Prox and Artee head to the cockpit to begin the lengthy calculations for the maneuver they were just about to hopefully successfully perform.
OCC: So has the ships aspects been updated to what we are currently sporting per the captain's orders?

Ardan Kwinn |

Yes, we should have SR 25 shields, a medium laser cannon (instead of light) and combat maneuvering thrusters that allow us to dogfight wiht other small craft and give a -5 penalty to attacks from capital ships against us.
Of note, Ardan doesn't own the Banshee; it was assigned to us by the Rebel Alliance. He's just the rich SOB who takes advantage of the wet bar. :)

Prox Simmoss |

OCC: Ah well they assigned it to Ardan most likely as he was the best rich SoB ruse to own such a ship making it less noticeable as anything more than just a rich guys play toy out hob-nobbing about the galaxy doing the things rich SoBs do.
Further unless Ardan has enlightened Prox on this, she simply considers it his ship as he is a rich SoB after all and thus the most likely to own such a ship ;-)

Dreamchaser Plainstalker |

The rich SOB is the one in charge of the ship, as it was part of the perfect cover that a rich guy was jetting around making a nusience of himself, allowing the rest of the crew to blend in plain sight.

Prox Simmoss |

Hey Arden isn't rich...
Artee Use Computer check: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (18) + 13 = 31
Prox Use Computer Aid check: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14
OCC: So that's 31 +2 Aid +2 Aid if Piston makes his check. However, I am not clear on how that tracks to how long it takes to get back.
Prox Pilot check: 1d20 ⇒ 20
OCC: Oops Okay just add 16 to that awesome raw Pilot check

Waylon Stanmore |

Waylon straps in for the jump and rests for what is to come.

Quen Pah |

Use Computer Aid Check 1d20+8 Well I made it, good thing that wasn't the primary check!
You could have ended up in Seti Alpha IV.

Private Phineas - Piston |

Banshee Hyperjump 1d6 ⇒ 3 * 2 = 6 Days
-------
As the ship makes is way through the galaxy towards an wild assault, Phineas looks through the ship to see if he can find any light or medium armor he can wear for the assault as he lost his while a prisoner of the Empire.
Once he finds, or doesn't find what he's looking for, he will sit with the Jedi and coordinate his idea for the assault, "I've a gimmick I was working on for the Wars and perfected recently. Sort of an anti-command to weaken the morale of foes within close range of me. From there, it weakens the will of those foes and allows for your Jedi mind tricks to be more effective. Puts me in the range of my foes but if you disable em, well that much the better. Is that something we can employ here or are your tactics a bit more aggressive, ya' know lightsaber action?"
Commanding Presence. Once per encounter, you can activate this Talent as a Swift Action. Until the end of the encounter, all your opponents within 6 squares of you take a -2 penalty to their Will Defense. This is a Mind-Affecting Fear effect.

Private Phineas - Piston |

As the ship comes out of hyperspace, Phineas scans for the enemy, as the plan is to attack forthwith!
Use Computer - Scan 1d20 + 10 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 10 + 8 = 38
He turns to Artee and Prox, "Shall we raise our shields in case we don't quite get the jump we think we are going to get?"

Ardan Kwinn |

"Since tracking ships through hyperspace is impossible, we'll only know where they went if we can find some kind of clue... or if they have landed and we're able to find them planetside," says Ardan. "How long to start checking the planet for likely signs?"

Waylon Stanmore |

"Perhaps now would be a good time for Dreams to try and reach out once more." Waylon says.

Dreamchaser Plainstalker |

It might hurt, but I will attempt it, just give me some time
He then retires to his room, and goes through his training kata's until he is exhausted
Its worked before when I was tired, so it should work again
He then goes to the masters room, and asks Jace to watch over him.
Use the Force: 1d20 + 1d6 + 9 ⇒ (11) + (4) + 9 = 24
Using a Force point to assist

Quen Pah |

The Cathar closes his eyes, calms his breath and concentrates once again, calling upon the Force to commune with his former companion. What a nice use of alliteration we have here!
The way seems easier as the lion man seems to drift towards the Force prescence of Donavaan Taar.
This time Dreamchaser finds the padawan no longer broken or shattered but intesnly practicing with a lightsaber dualing against what seems to be members of the Banshee;s crew. First Kol is struck down, then the duros and then Arden.

Dreamchaser Plainstalker |

This is a path of what might be, unless we can help him
He reaches a bit more, and tries to contact him.
+++Donavaan, we have not abandoned you. We need to know where you are, We are coming now. Hold out a bit longer, and turn away from those images, that is not you+++
He then breaks his trance and looks at Master Jace.
We should have done something more. I fear those that have opposed us, are turning him against us.
He explains the vision to Jace.

Quen Pah |

The cathar feels himself trying to return to his body but he sees Donavaan looking directly at him a grin on his face. The padawan reaches out and a spiderweb looking filament emerges from Donavaan's hand and wraps around the Cathan and pulls him into the Force vision.
He hears the malevolence in Donavaan's voice echo as if there are 2 voices speaking at once, Donavaan's and the other.

Donavaan Taar |

How rude little Cathar, to come and spy and not to leave a gift. Where do you think that you are going? Tell me where you are Dreamchaser. Or we can do this a more painful way, I can peel the information from your head like one peels an orange. Of course, that would be more fun than you simply telling me or letting me see into your fragile skull. You speak of a rescue as if I want to be rescued. Of course, you can all make this easier for everyone involved by simply admitting defeat and joining me in this power.
What do you know or who do you know that I am, cat man? Your attempts to speak to a kinder nature that is no longer fall upon deaf ears. I think I will enjoy using your pelt to decorate. Please say you will fight, it will make it that much more interesting.

Waylon Stanmore |

Waylon waits to see how another of his amazing suggestions turns out while Dreams meditates.
