The tension mounts, oh what a feeling


The shutter on his optic lens widening, Lemm turned from Dreamchaser to Robb. "A vote Master Dreamchaser? Does everyone have a vote?" Lemm had been on several crews before, but it had never been given a vote. Turning from Robb back to Dreamchaser then to Rufus, there were certainly too many variables to be able to determine which course of action would be the best. But Lemm got a vote. He moved his cycloptic eye, looking from the Frumpy bloodshot eyed 'pilot' to the confident firm Catharese. Then spoke in a loud clear voice, "Aye."

I thought the ground guys were to stealth inside, free prisoner, then call for pickup. Has that changed?

My thoughts were
Rest for the night.
In the morning go forward to about 1-2 hours from the prison, find a spot to land the ship.
Next day go forward to look at the prison to assess the situation.
Once we looked over the prison, then we make a plan to get the prisoner and get out.
Time on planet aprox 3 days.

No plan ever survives first contact with the enemy.
I know they are looking, but keeping the ship on short hops, and a quick in and out after looking over the problem.
It should have us clear before they get to close. emphasis on should

Preparing itself to do watch, Lemm, never being trusted with guard duty before, asks. "Should I spend much time outside the ship, or just watching from the cockpit?" It then points at everyone's belts, rubbing its hands together. "Who wants to lend me a weapon?"

I was commenting out of Character for most of this.

Dreams unholsters his blaster, changes the power cell, and tosses it to Lemm.

Safeties on, and I suggest buttoning up the ship, and watching through the short range sensors.

When he finally returns to his room, he puts the slightly spent cell on the charger, goes through his routines and then goes to bed.

Moving to the cockpit, Lemm checks the alert system to see what had tripped it. Then turning its Multispectrum Searchlight on infrared it looks out the cockpit window searching.

looking out the window wil take 10 (21) on perception, any roll needed to get info from the sensor?

Hearing the scream of the alert system, Dreams wakes up and grabs for his blaster only to remember that he passed it to lemm.

Damn it, oh well, time for the alternate
He quickly dresses then grabs a cylinder that he has been carrying at the small of his back for years, and heads to the common room to see what is up.

Christon wakes up resisting the urge to say "I told you". He picks his sword and approaches the crowd by the navigation instruments.

"What do we have? Imps?"

From what you can see, it appears that there is a wave of vegetation that is going around the Banshee. Upon closer examination, LEM is able to discern that the vegetation seems to be humanoid in forms, a collection of plant like beings walking through the jungle.


Turning off the alert system, Lemm focuses its cycloptic eye on the humanoid vegitation. Studying them closely comparing the images to anything in its memory banks. He turns to Chiston. "No master Christon, almost the opposite. It's walking plants. Have you encountered anything like them while you were outside?" Lemm points out the window, shifting its Multispectrum Searchlight from infrared to normal light.

Seeing Dreamchaser, Lemm lifts the blaster off of the console where heit had placed the weapon and hands it back to the Catharese. "Thank you Master Dreamchaser, but you probably will be better with this than I."

Looking back out the window Lemm asks "do you think we can communicate with them?"

That seems really weird.

Feeling ignored by the sentient meat-sacks, Lemm, points at the window, shining its Multispectrum Searchlight on the passing plants.. "Masters, at least look at the flora and fauna. before you go to bed. They do not match the description you gave from your endeavors earlier."

Both force senstives can feel the prescence of the dark side influencing the plant creatures.

Stopping on the way to bed, Dreams turns around and looks out the window.

Something is up with them. I don't think that this is normal for anything like them.

Dressing quickly, he slid down the ladderway and with gun and flashlight out went around making sure no lower hull hatchways or vents were allowing entry.
