Its a line of fire. (30' long) So its hitting the door from about 10' away and spraying all over it. Andru has unlimited use of this one because its a contraption and not a gadget. Its like an 'orison'

Hey sorry for the lack of attention folks, one of my dogs was bitten by a snake and was in the vet these past five days. Most probably a Brown snake bit him, one of Australia’s most dangerous, but as I never saw it I can’t be sure. Living in the bush we see snakes pretty regularly and the dogs are both high prey-drive (Husky and Shepherd-Husky). The Husky got bit, and by the time I got to the vet he was shaking and made no pupil dilation. He had the anti-venom administered twice and has spent the past five days on drips, with anti-seizure medicine, lube for his eyes because he couldn’t blink etc... He finally came home today, much worse for wear, but is on the improve. Now to see how well he recovers as the venom can impact kidneys, destroy muscle tissue and cause neurological damage. Yay!

No worries, Kurian, and I'm glad to hear that your Husky has come back home and is on the mend. :)
Some quick googling shows applejack to be around 40% ABV, which appears to be questionable for flammability. We'll give it a 50/50 shot, so if it's high, then it'll work:
Heh, clearly Cayden wants that door to go all burnin'. ;p
Well, cooks use brandy, wine or whiskey to flambé their dishes, and they usually have no problem igniting it. I doubt those liquors have - usually - more than 40%.
Actually, I have great doubts as to what ignites faster: liquor or olive oil.
Hmm, wonder if the combo of oil and liquor helps to light up more easier... ;)
RE: flambé, I've made enough bananas foster to know that you need the 151 rum to set it aflame. Regular rum won't actually light and that's at 40% ABV...
Learned something new this day. :)

Sorry to hear that; real life takes precedence so do what you need to do. There's some crazy wildlife you have to deal with in Australia on top of the drop bears. My area's main concern is brown recluses and ticks for lyme disease and that's enough for me :P

Urgh. Brown recluse I got bit by one that snuck up to Alaska, USA back when I lived up there. It put me down for a bit. I lucked out though that it apparnetly was having a bad venom day. Was not fun, real pinful and weird looking. But no long term damage somehow. Was identifited as BRecluse at least when i had taken its corpse with me.
I'm terrified my doggie'll get black widows where I live now. Dangerous wildlife is worriesome.
Heal well doggie

Salve Heals 1d8+4.
Whoever wants to rll can roll. I assume the one who activates the item should be the one to roll.
I should've rolled to see if I could've made them better this "morning" but didn't since I've had them the same one for most of the trip instead.. (can roll craft alchemy while making to try and improve them.)

Thank you for that reminder, Scholar Zupon; I didn't quite remember the bonuses from the last time they got used. :)
So what would the bonuses be from an improved salve? ;)

Depending on how well I rolled, it adds an extra D8 per DC marking.
If I fail to meet a DC I declare I'm going for, then it whiffs and becomes the base D8+INT. So at low level there is not much of a in trying a higher DC; but later on it could bomb and result in a pretty weak healing item if one rolled unlucky.
Its in my charcter sheet if one is curious about the levels of DC. I think its like every 10 or something. Pretty unlikely at my current level. But possible I think
its a fun mechanic. I simply forgot to try that prior. New class and PbP and all.
The bomb I have is simliar; though that DC increases are mild insanity and are basically impossible at my current level.

Dog improving day by day, but is real jumpy and skittish. Apart from that, appetite is good and energy, if not stamina back to normal. Thanks again for the well wishes!

Tomorrow I'm having a catheterization on my left side tomorrow, so I won't be on the boards that day. But I hope to be back on during the weekend. Thanks all.

Hasnt' come up extensively; which is more a matter of my options at level 1.
but so far Spheres stuff seems great. It allowed me realize a very specific concept in an interesting way.
Other than that? other stuff I loved previously is Machinesmith and interjection's Onmyouji. Which I own off this website a while back. Though limited play experience (Onmyouji in particularly is very odd but neat)
I'm really tempted to buy the Tinkerer stuff. becaus the Puppeteer concept is jusut really neat to me.

Good to know, Scholar Zupon. :)
By your mention of your character sheet, it'd be the same as the one in your profile that I've linkified here in Discussion? For some weird reason, the link doesn't seem to be working for me though. ;)

So, with the sale going on @ DriveThruRPG, is there anything worth picking up?
Although barely tangentially related to PF, I'm most likely gonna pick up the Savage Worlds Adventure Edition pdf for this sale; mainly to compare with and to see how it differs from the upcoming Savage Worlds version of Pathfinder. ;)
Haven't checked out the PF1e offerings for the sale yet- but there's probably going to be some neat titles out there; Might also pick up on some classic WOTC stuff for mostly nostalgias' sake.

but my profile has the entire statblock in it thats the most updated.

Ok, so I ended up grabbing Path of Iron, the Malefex, and Ultimate Onmyodo. I'd like to grab Manga d20 mianly for the "build a class" point system for comparison, but alas a dollar savings isn't a big enough incentive... a side effect of seeing too many Steam sales.
Good to hear, DM rel20, and no worries on not getting the Play Manga d20 from the DrivethruRPG sale; your best bet for getting it at a good value would be thru the d20pfsrd storefront- mainly by getting one of their $20+ bundles and choosing Play Manga d20 as a free PDF of choice. ;)
PS. Besides getting SWADE and some stuff like Return to the Keep on the Borderlands and Willowby Hall, I also ended up picking up, in terms of the PF1e ruleset, Shadows over Vathak Hauntlings [race-guide], ASA:Alice in Wonderland #1, Mutants [race-guide], and much more importantly, got both the Bananas! and Expanded Bananas! Sourcebooks... and I regret nothing ;p

I think that was a reference to.... the banana fosters commentary a week ago when we started burning the door? probably.
And this door is hilarious. Next round Zupon's giving up on the quiet if we don't manage to get in.

Maybe I missed a meme, but why are bananas a thing in gaming?Scholar Zupon wrote:I think that was a reference to.... the banana fosters commentary a week ago when we started burning the door? probably.
That's actually a pretty neat callback, Scholar Zupon- nearly forgot all about it myself but there might've been some sorta subconscious thing going on 'cause I ended up having to pick up both bananas sourcebooks once I saw them while perusing the sale. ;)
There might've been a post [or 2] made about bananas in a gaming-stat context on the Know Direction network website, DM rel20, but apart from that, the people behind the bananas sourcebook definitely knew how to cover their niche... plus they somehow managed to mix bananas and tentacled aberrations together in such a way that became a must-buy for me; don't fret though, hardly anything would've been usable for this 3pp-friendly game of ours since they lean more towards the original races/spells/monsters and making archetypes for the standard Paizo core classes instead of any new 3pp classes. ;p

Lucky for us that Andru finally burned that game-grindin' door away so we don't hafta make any tactical retreat. :)

Arite, I was already thinking if we had to use dynamite (though probably we would have destroyed the whole castle and the door would still be standing).

DM - can I get clarification on the tower map? Is the brown rectangle the upturned table? What is the woodgrain’d thing on the south of the floor? Do the stairs go both up and down - I can’t for the life of me reconcile the picture of the stairs with your arrows...

The original map was standard empty white squares. A fan created these maps adding elements like the table. However, being a static image he/she posted on imgur, I can't strip the objects out. Thus, the brown rectangle is now the overturned table.
On the ground floor, there are stairs going up, and stairs going down, something not easily noted by the symbol used in the map.
I have now added some boxes to the stairs - the spots in blue ascends. The spot in red goes down.

Good to know that the drawn-wood grain table isn't where it's at now. :)

If that happened, we'd clearly have to take said door with us and see if Jory could make something magical (itemwise) out of it. ;p

That is one thing I wish Pathfindier had an easier time with. Tower Shields are soo cool. Mobile Bulwark feats are so cool.
It so hard to use them on a lot of characters though.
sidenote; created a section on my sheet for the Medic uses per day/on who to keep easier track of

Zupon isn't near ya'll talking. So he can't contribute.
But Chigao's ooc question wise; I don't know if I'd free them prior to settling up and regrouping.I find the merchant's situation odd with the data we have of this groups MO so far. Even just with the door-alcohol interactions.
But Zupon isn't there and I as a player have no qualms about follks making decisions in character, with the characters there, even if it effects/affects the group.
Its all for the story!
