Diazepane will be level 8 beginning this adventure. I hadn't had (and still don't have) the intention of assigning him any more pregen or GM credit, but last level due to ... stupidity/mismanagement, I ended up doing both. There's a good chance now that Diazepane will tier out of 5-9 before we complete the 5-9 scenarios, also, he's going to start bumping up APL. Sorry. :(

I have a second character in the 5-9 range now so that character will end up absorbing GM credits, and I'll look into what Slow progression is (can I do Slow for just one level, or does the character need to be Slow forever?) to try to keep Diazepane in tier. I can also consider switching over to the other character, but she's a ninja and substantially overlaps with Ichio skillwise; also, she's got a blood vendetta against Tancred Desimire and really wants to finish that series.

In the meantime, enjoy the glory that is a flying alchemist that can throw three bombs per round ...

Diazepane, you can go slow for a level as long as it's for the whole level (so six adventures on slow, not four on slow and one on regular, for instance).

Mylvwara has just hit Level 9. 5th-level spells!

I'm still working hard (GMing three modules) to get Quensha up to level 8 so she can bring her awesome clericism to the group.

Also, Mylvwara is taking the Magaambyan Arcanist prestige class.

Anyone want to recommend a third-level or lower druid spell to put on her spell list?

I thought you could do slow/standard progression on a mission by mission basis, these days.

I just put THIS together.

The good news is that we did all the 1-5's and all the 3-7's. The bad news is that, counting the one we're doing now, there are 6 more 5-9's, which means that at least one of them will probably be out of subtier for everyone (including Kal'Ryon, who is the only one who has been the same character for the whole run.)

There are then 8 7-11's so we may have the same issue at the end of those.

Then, there's the Ruby Phoenix Tournament itself, which is an 11th level module. I figure we'll explain that away with some time travel.

And there's 1 11-15. It may be problematic because it's the last part of Eyes of the Ten, which is meant to be played in order.

There's also a level 7 meant to be played with Pre-gens (I think AS Apsis) that we've probably missed the window on.

And there's another multi-table that we'd have to get the lodge, or at least several tables to run.

And, if you're keeping track we've played 10 out of a potential 28 adventures so...not even half way done...

Diazepane will do Slow for Level 8, then. That would put him at Level 9 for the beginning of the 7-11s, and 8 scenarios at Normal would bring him to 11.2.

If we all slow-track the 7-11s, would that work?

If the Aspis one is all pre-gens anyway, we could just put the credit towards other characters?

I'm looking forward to the start of the next season, where the US Army have to storm the White House and and a car chase gunfight as the Presidential limo high-tails it down Pennsyvania Avenue.

I used to be offended when I heard people from other countries saying America is not a 1st world country.

Then, we put a lying, cheating, wanna-be tinpot dictator failure of a man in our highest office then...THEN almost put him in office again and entertain his temper tantrum when all of his attempts to change the rules in his favor start to fail.

I suspect that we won't officially have a president for a month or more.

Trump is the American version of Santa Ana.

It's sad because, until this election one of the things America could pride itself on was an orderly transfer of power even through controversy and changing parties and vitriolic campaigns.

And if this offends anyone...not sorry.

I had friends in Kenya that I wrote to during the contested election of 2000. They were absolutely shocked that there was not anarchy and chaos in the weeks following the election, and were baffled that I went about my business trusting the vote counters and courts to decide. I was very proud to be an American (regardless of who I voted for).

In 2016, the morning after the election I was on a conference call with people from India and felt the need to defend the American process, explaining this is the way our system worked and even pointed out that Obama was within 1 polling error of losing the popular vote (but winning the electoral college) in 2012.

Whether or not this country actually devolves into widespread chaos, the fact that there's even a question about it is enough reason for me to stop defending the process. If people from other countries question the system, I'm going to stop being so nice about it. It's a f%**ed up system and the people on the streets who are acting like they've never lost an election before need to grow the f++# up. Also, people advocating violence on TV and Twitter need to start going to jail.

Yeah, but at least you don't have people showing up to "rallies" armed with guns.

You've got some of the same political dysfunction (Johnson suspending Parliament to avoid negotiating on Brexit last year, for example), but it's not like Labour supporters went out and bought semi-automatic weapons en masse.

Armed people in America stormed a legislature because they didn't like wearing masks. I'm very concerned about what happens when they lose an election.

Honestly, I think our real advantage is that we’ve yet to have a Mitch McConnell figure who treats politics like a team sport and regards compromise as a weakness.
