Rylinn make a disguise check though you do get +10 from the spell

![]() |

Per the rules for Disguise checks: "The GM rolls the Disguise check in secret, so you’re not sure how good your disguise is." Then under the spell: "A creature that interacts with you directly can attempt a Will saving throw to recognize your appearance as an illusion." The way I interpret this, GM makes the rolls, but only attempts the Will save if another character purposefully interacts with Rilynn. "Interact" seems like a judgment call too. I am at your mercy.

I hope you meet someone new

And most of all she cares for you
As must as you did
All this time for me
Someone like you!

Need a GM ruling before I decide what to do next: With Team Moxie believing Rilynn is Tillik, can she move freely through those npcs or do I still have to roll for that, and would that be in addition to the rolls for movement in zero-g or a replacement?
Wow, Zoey, I think you can do this all on your own!

I gotcha Tech Amy replies Have my spot
She gently floats out of the latrine and drifts to a spot just behind T!. For some reason, Zoey's latest song is making her sad.

With Shonvyzam stubbornly blocking her way through to the red flag, and with Rafelo going down and Zoey confidently moving in to engage Moxie, a new calculus emerges, one that Rilynn thought impossible only minutes earlier. We can win a shootout against these guys!
She sidesteps Mia and sidles up next to the drone. Then, not fearing a melee attack from the floating orb, she spins and fires a flanking shot into the team leaders' back.

With coordinated focus fire on Mia, she takes most of the shots and starts to raise her own hammer as the pain takes over and she falls down.
Shonvyzam, seeing the combined onslaught of Team Knockout decides that he would rather not have the resulting stun hang over headache and conceeds.
Lethea announces. "So it seems the Turtle wins after all. Well done Team knockout."
Quell remarks. "I think this is a lesson for everyone don't come knocking on the Starfinders house unless you are prepared.
With that, gravity slowly returns to normal as you float softly down to the deck. Assistants buzz in a remove the fallen and take you to the green room for a few moments before the closing.
A wash of sparkling confetti and the sound of upbeat brass instruments heralds the arrival of Zo! onto the stage. The undead mogul effortlessly swings a microphone in one hand, while casually pointing and smiling at members of the live studio audience. As the music calms, Zo! turns to provide both teams with a shot from his finger guns before addressing the audience. “[b]Trials and tribulations! Drama and intrigue! Dangerous obstacles and murderous animals rendered into appetizers! Really folks, we have it all, don’t we!?”
Zo! revels in the crowd’s adulation for a few seconds before a blinking red-screen causes the assembled masses to stop, save for a few lagging zombies who continue. “Now, if it were up to me, I’d call each of these teams a winner! But this is prime-time vidcasting, so there simply has to be a winner! If there wasn’t, well, all of you might kill me—for a second time, that is!
“So, for this episode of Pact World Warriors, the winning team is…Team Knockout of the Starfinders!”

Zoey beams brightly as the winners are announced, jumping up and down, showing a 'victory' sign and waving at the camera Sis! Can you see me?
Looking at her teammmates, she whispers Shall we do the pose again?

Later, the pint-sized singer sneaks backstage and leaves leaves a photocard for Rafello.

Tech pumps a fist in the air and activates a celebratory light sequence on his mask.
"I guess a few lava burns and takin' some fire ain't so bad." He says letting the rush of victory numb his wounds for the time being. "You tell me how to pose Zoey and I'll do it." He says with all the energy of an uncle trying to be cool.

![]() |

Rilynn takes up the pose a little sheepishly next to Zoey, in awe of her singular dominance in the aspect of the challenge Rilynn thought unwinnable.
"Starfinders!"

![]() |

Tik murmurs in reply, "The Society will probably claim most of the cash rewards. We'll get something out of it, though. That's a good thing; I was literally down to my last credit. The Venture-Captains will be happy with us, and I understand that's also a good thing." His whiskers twitch. "Oh, and we've probably earned Team Moxie's lifelong enmity, and whoever is behind the campaign against the Society will have it in for us, too."

![]() |

With the closing ceremonies over, you head back to the green room to collect your things and then meet up with Radaszam. "Well done and smartly fought. That will show the Pact Worlds the resourcefulness of the Starfinders. And don't worry, you will get your take of the winnings per the usual agreement. The Society is more worried about the PR than credits right now"
Radaszam offers refreshments and listens to you retell tales from their journey. The journey to Absalom Station only takes 3 days, at which point Radaszam escorts you to the Lorespire Complex for a more thorough debriefing with First Seeker Luwazi Elsebo.
Within the Lorespire Complex, Radaszam leaves you in a waiting room while he goes to confer with First Seeker Luwazi Elsebo prior to the debriefing. As you wait, you notice a well-stocked and eerily familiar food assortment waiting on the currently abandoned reception desk. Investigating the basket, you also note that one of the vidscreens behind the reception desk is active and displaying a live news feed. A ryphorian news anchor explains that the Stewards are investigating an incident involving a shuttle explosion over Eox that claimed the lives of several Pact Worlds citizens and the rival team on Pact World Warriors. While the investigation has yet to conclude, there’s some leaked evidence that may point to the Starfinder Society’s involvement.
At that moment, a shirren arrives with a second basket for the food arrangement, as well as an accompanying letter. One of the apples in the second basket has a single bite taken out of it, and the unsigned card that accompanies the basket reads: “I don’t like people who fail me, but I’m really starting to like all of you.”
The shirren courier has no information on who arranged the basket, only that it was commissioned through funds associated with AbadarCorp. Further investigation into the delivery yields no results.

Tik rubs the fur on the back of his neck worriedly. "Well, that's not threatening at all. Time to lay low for a bit?"
You can practically hear the soundtrack going "Dun-dun-DUN!"

![]() |

Rilynn reads the note and passes it on. "Who does that? she asks rhetorically. "Takes one bite from an apple and leaves it for someone else? Gross." As before, she does not partake of the gift of food.
"Too bad for Team Moxie, but I suppose it could have easily been us."
She will make sure the First Seeker sees the note and gets whatever context is relevant, including the team's strange encounter with Datch.

![]() |

"Team Moxie is dead?" Tech takes a seat and stays silent for awhile. "I-they were mostly jerks but who ain't in a friendly competition."
"And they're tryin' to pin this on us?" He also passes on the food and stays lost in thought. The victory on Pact World Warriors forgotten in light of this new information.

While the investigation has yet to conclude, there’s some leaked evidence that may point to the Starfinder Society’s involvement.
The dry, matter-of-fact statement of the news anchor is enough to wipe the cheerfulness off Zoey's face. There is something about the shuttle explosion that hits her particularly hard, an echo of a past she's forgotten. All she can muster is to softly hum the closing verse of the song her sister taught her, reminding herself of the calming effect it had on her older sibling, and missing her dearly.
Through the night wide awake
Make a wish on every star
Trying find to find out which one you're on
Every dying sun, going one by one
Until every single one of them is gone
And with
Every single flash coming from afar
I repeat my prayer for every star
Let me know my wish will come true
Show me that the last one is you
----
That night she spent curled up in a ball, unable to take her mind off the team she had only days earlier competed with - imagining their faces. Finally falling into a restless sleep, she is haunted by nightmares. Herself, a small singing child playing with a toy interstellar shuttle, her bigger sister twirling around, dressed as a space pirate. Moments later, finding herself in a capsule-like escape pod, screaming with no sound, and gazing out of the window onto a mass of similar pods. Each one is blinking with a white light. Blinking, panic increasing with each flash, blinking once more, until each of the pods goes dark.
----

![]() |

Amy too is affected by the news. She feels something isn't right, the contents of the mysterious note and the shuttle explosion, as if they were connected. Team Moxie being killed because they didn't win?
She sat, staring out into space, contemplating the callousness of someone who would do that - while a solitary tear trickled down her face.

And with that we fade to black.
