Amy continues to carefully climb up the rope until she gets to the top.
Ooze there? she looks at Zoey. Oh ... I get it .. Jelly ... Jelly who .. Jelly - nite Boom Boom!
And I'm gonna be throwing shooting stars at it when I get down there.
She hurtles down the slide, disappointed that the blue stuff wasn't water as she first thought but ...
Wheeeeeeeee ....
She is trying to fit in ... but it still sounds a bit .... awkward.

If the ooze is still attacking:
T| draws a knife and feints before striking at the slime.
Stealth check for trick attack: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (6) + 18 = 24

The ooze is there and attacking mindlessly. And seems to follow you.
Tech. head up the wall and makes his way down the chute along with Zoey.
Amy and Rilynn are not far behind.
Tik makes a swing at the slime and easily tricks it and hits it
ETH makes it down the chute takes point across the dance floor with out any incident.
The slime lurches forward and attemps to engulf Tik:
Tik Reflex: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19
But the ysoki gets out of the way of the oozing mass
Lethea:"Seems like dinner is back and it wants revenge!"
Quell: "But lets see how it ties them up."

Ooze there! Get it! Yaah! Zoey hacks wildly with her newly-bought sword, as much a danger to her companions as she is to the ooze.
Sword: 1d20 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 1 + 1 = 151d6 ⇒ 6
Sister would do much better at this...
Tech.

Stuck behind the slime, tech draws his rifle and fires on the creature as it attacks T|.
Pulsecaster Rifle 39/40 Charges: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 91d6 ⇒ 1 Electricity, Non-Lethal
Unfortunately he spends more time trying not aim away from T| than he does actually focusing on his target.

Gross! Rilynn projects when she sees the slime monster. What did I sign up for?
She draws her arc pistol and squeezes off a shot at the slime, then jumps down the slide.

If the slime is still mobile after these attacks:

Stealth check for trick attack: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (4) + 18 = 22

Haha, you guys seem to have it covered!
Eth turns to see the group ganging up on the poor slime, "Just leave it. What did the slime ever do to you." She turns to look at the next obstacle, and unsure of herself she makes the jump. She steps back, so she can get a running jump, and then makes the leap of faith.
Action to back up, then run and jump across.

The party quicky beats down the slime. While ETH starts across the pillars over the floor of lava. Looking forward she sees:
A6. ACCELERATION TRACK
Two moving walkways run along the rocky ground toward a plexiglass tunnel to the northeast. The northern walkway churns past at a much faster speed than the longer section of track slightly to the south.
Moving along the southern (outer) track allows you to move 15 feet for 10 feet of movement.
Moving along the northern (inner) track allows you to move 10 feet for 5 feet of movement.
Lethea: "What ever did that poor slime do to them. It was just happily in its bucket when violently thrown out and pulled down the slide"
Quell: "Though it looks like one of the team knows they are in a race, but can they make the next jump?"

Both move actions to jump across.
Rilynn Rae

Rilynn is a lover, not a fighter, and the dance floor is her wingman. She can't help but be enticed to break into a few moves for the cameras, her body moving in ways that would send chills up the spines of many a humanoid fan.
But this is still a race! She dashes toward the next obstacle and leaps for the nearest pedestal.
Acrobatics: 1d20 ⇒ 12
Having made the long jump, she wipes sweat from her brow and sizes up the two shorter hops that remain. Nothing to it.

Round 6: put away sword, move
Zoey follows the example of ETH, jumping over the blue tile after taking a running jump (Acrobatics, take 10 for 15).
Zoey looks very nervous about the sea of molten lava in front of her, and yells - very unconvincingly cheerful - to ETH C-c-careful that there's no bucket of slime there!.
Tech.
|
As the slime is defeated Tech looks ahead, his exocortex focusing on ETH as she leaps across platforms punctuating the lava below.
"Lava!?" He gasps incredulously at one of the cameras.
Shaking his head he follows closely behind Zoey, slinging his rifle behind his back as he leaps over the blue light.
Athletics: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16
Unlike Zoey however he's picked up too much momentum to stop and has no choice but to attempt the next jump or go sliding over the edge.
Aaaaaaaaaa(thletcis): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22
He lands cleanly on the platform and erupts into a fit of nervous laughter as he realizes he's still alive and unburnt.
Amy Mercury
|
Amy has no idea why the others are jumping over the blue tiles but she follows their lead anyway.
acrobatics: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21
And because she has no experience with dance floors, she just moves in a straight line and catches up to Zoey.
She's not used to all this running and jumping, being used to a lower gravity environment and her legs are starting to ache so she takes a short rest while figuring out how to get across. Besides, most of the pillars she could jump to are already occupied.
So she massages her leg muscles. Lava? she squeaks Seriously?

So she massages her leg muscles. Lava? she squeaks Seriously?
She turns around to her companions, "Don't worry, it is probably fake lava like in those infomercials you showed me in the break out room." She turns to the cameras, and without emotion says, "I am. Onto. You." and points awkwardly into the lens.
T| "Tik" Fiver

"Ok, one more jump. Just one more."
The older elf bends his knees and takes a second leap, the end of this obstacle within his grasp, but as he launches himself one of his feet slips off the edge throwing off his trajectory.
Athletics: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8 That doesn't look good.
Rilynn Rae

Rilynn see Tech miss his mark, and she throws out a hand to try to keep her teammate from falling into the stuff that really, looks like lava below.
Tech is falling! she sends telepathically to the team.
Acrobatics: 1d20 ⇒ 6
But he flies beyond her reach, and she cannot grab him without falling in herself. He almost made it - she just needs to get across and then pull him out.
Acrobatics: 1d20 ⇒ 19
She lands on the other side and quickly turns to do what she can for Tech.

No .. as one of the camera's zoom in, they can see her hanging off the edge of the pillar. As they watch she hauls herself up and onto the top, where she sits for a bit, contemplating her next move, and waiting for Zoey to get off the next one in line.
Only two more leaps ... only two ... oh Desna ... help me. I'm not sure I can do this.

At this point Amy would have sworn she felt the gentle touch of a butterfly wing and a voice saying I am always with you my Star Dancer Maybe it was her imagination or ... something else but whatever it was, it gave her the strength to carry on.

Per, Tech: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
As the team races though the final tunnel to the finish line Tech. yells "Watch out! laser"
Just as a laser shoots out at Zoey, but she was given just enough warning to dodge a bit.
Laser Trap: 1d20 + 11 - 4 ⇒ (3) + 11 - 4 = 10
Which seemed to do the trick as she is unharmed. Seems like that is the only laser and the rest of the way is clear.
With that being the last hazard and with more than enough time left on the clock....
Dodging though the laser tunnel Team Knock makes it to the finish line together with a good deal of time on the clock.
A dozen hovering camera drones buzz past, capturing the action from as many angles as possible. “Our first contestant crosses the finish line!” Lethea’s technologically magnified voice booms through the air. A sardonic chuckle filters through the speakers as Quell adds, “The living never cease to amaze me. Do you think the others have what it takes, Lethea?”
Not missing a beat, Lethea responds, “Stay tuned to Pact World Warriors to find out! We’ll be right back after these messages from our sponsors.”
