After a few minutes you are taken to the last challenge:

Capture the Flag!

Our final challenge simulates boarding action on a craft traveling through hostile space!” Quell’s voice reverberates through the cargo hold. “With weapons set to stun, our intrepid teams fight for control of the ship.

Lethea takes over the explanation: “A team earns 30 points for capturing the enemy flag, 40 points for capturing the unclaimed flag and 10 points for taking out an enemy. When the doors open, the battle begins. Good luck, warriors!

The final challenge takes place on a realistic set modeled after a starship. This time, the hosts observe the action alongside the studio audience through live camera feeds and commentate directly into the your’ comm units. You begin in the rectangular cargo hold to the east (TOP), while the opposing team begins in an identical chamber to the west (BOTTOM). You have 3 rounds to prepare and position their flag within their base before all the ship’s doors open and the challenge begins. Contestants are required to equip loaned copies of their weapons with merciful weapon fusions pre‑installed for the duration of the challenge or face disqualification.

This event takes place in a zero-g environment. Those without specialized equipment must use objects or other creatures to control their movement here.

The Flags: This competition involves three heavy flags. Each team begins in possession of one flag (yours is blue, the other team’s is Red), which must be displayed prominently and cannot be stored in a bag, extradimensional space, or any other compartment. Each flag is 3 bulk, due to the use of dense metals in its construction. You can place their flag in a square, or one of them can hold onto the object. A third unclaimed flag (yellow) rests near the center of the ship

GM, do we only need to acquire the other flags, or do we need to carry them somewhere to get the points? Also, I placed Rilynn on the map only for the purpose of pointing to a spot - what is that? What are the blue lights? Is that an "airlock?" Can any of the doors be locked/unlocked? Can lights be turned off? Does anything else work on this "starship?" And I assume there are cameras everywhere - can we see them? What happens when we're stunned? Are we out of the challenge or can we recover normally?

Just a thought, team, we could send a runner out to the yellow flag and keep everyone else back to ambush the other team - we may not need to capture their flag to win.

Well there is a time limit (20 rounds) but it will end when one team is all knocked out. When knocked out you are left on the play field for others to revive. The flags are kind of secondary. All interior doors are closed and unlocked, so you can take actions to try to lock them. External doors are sealed. You are not in space but in artificial zero G, on the planet.

"We got a nice comfy lead, and a real good bottle neck in that door frame there folks. If we do like Rilynn suggests and send one runner, I think we've got enough of an edge to make them come to us."

Tech takes out his rifle and takes a seat in the corner where he can fire comfortably into the next room.

"Even if they take our flag, if we get the yellow one, we basically secure the win."

GM if we claim the yellow flag, can the other team also take it from our base, or is it claimed and done once brought back?

We're at 180 points, they're at 100.
They would need to claim both the neutral flag and our flag and take one of us out to even just tie us. So I like the 1 Runner plan, if we think we can take them.

As long as we play a good defense we come out with more points.

Tech has an additional 30ft of alloy cable to commit to the cause, so adding that to the 100 foot rope should be more than enough for a runner to grab the flag and come back, throw in some combat serum and healing serums as a safety, I think we could pull it off.

Now this is more like it Amy exclaims as she floats in zero-g.

She then demonstrates how best to maneuver in zero-gee since she was brought up in it. She even does a z-gee dance for the cameras.

Well .. she tried but she forgot one thing.

Drat she mutters I need to be in space in order to fly

She also has 100ft of rope to contribute to the cause.

Zoey floats up to the ceiling, and locks her boots in place. Hanging from the ceiling, she ties one end of the rope around her waist, and tosses the other end to Tik.

Amy just floats in place but turns herself around so she's upside down as well to get the same orientation as Zoey. She also looks extremely puzzled - and rather annoyed she botched the dance in front of the cameras.

Pardon? she asks. She then figures it out. Actually - in this environment - 'up' and 'down' loses their meanings. Any direction can be 'up'

Do we all have stunning weapons, or are we having to use regular weapons with the -4 to hit for nonlethal?

And what about the cameras, GM - my thought is we could try to hack the studio camera system to gain surveillance of the other team's movement through the ship. We can't beat them in a straight up fight but maybe we can outsmart them or change the conditions of the contest to favor us. Capt Kirk in the Kobayashi Maru - alter the artificial gravity, etc. - those kinds of things.

"Rilynn, you and Tech see if you can find any control runs while Zoey and I go for the yellow flag. I think I can maneuver just fine in a narrow hall, and I can tell quite a tale about how ysoki get around in free-fall." His tail switches back and forth, and he does a quick bounce-and-spin off of the walls of the room, stabilizing himself with the appendage and killing his momentum as he comes to rest.

"Oh, and I can also do some scouting. Hard to spot, and all that."

"Can't we just leave it where it is? Make the other team get through all of us, through the multiple bottlenecks just to get inside this room where we can easily flank them. Looking at the schematic for the 'ship,' I do not see a more advantageous place to take them on."

Rilynn practices maneuvering in zero-g using Psychokinetic Hand as a method of propulsion.

Ooh, and don't forget, ETH and myself are telepaths. If we're clever we can coordinate our movements halfway across the ship.

Pity I can't flood one of the rooms - and hide myself and the flag in it Amy suggested. We're in zero G - it'll form a BIG globe of water, they'd have to get through

She turns to Eth. Just remember Newton's Three Laws and you'll be fine ... and little pushes. You can't rush things in zero-gee

For ease of play, I will say you get the video feed, and you can see the whole ship. All weapons have Merciful infusion so no -4 needed to do non-leathal.

The Android could be going with him, followed by Raf. It may be that Rafelo and Tillik are the scout team for our positions and flag. They left their biggest gun in defense of their flag. If nobody is taking any of the previous loot, I think I can use all the help I can get here - no need to let it gather dust. Unless one of you wants to claim stuff (Tik? Anyone else? I'll happily relinquish anything you want to have) I'll use the brown force field, protection ring, brooch, a commando serum (and use it), a serum of healing, and take the grappler along for good fun.

The only thing Tik would like is the survival knife, at least at the outset.

T| follows Zoey out into the hall, navigating easily in the simulated free-fall. "Emissary, could you do something for me? I worry the other side's going to try something sneaky. Here...." He stabs the wall at the white circle, twisting the knife to widen the opening. "Use that as a peephole, and if you see any of them coming this way, let everyone know. I've got to go watch Zoey's back."

Shonvzam moves slowly down the hall and sends her drone out. Spotting Zoey, it takes a pot shot at her:

Tech, hearing that Zoey has grabbed the neutral flag, activates his mag boots and makes his way toward the hallway outside the room, preparing to provide cover fire for her return.

Action to activate mag boots (presumably), move to just outside the room.

Zoey gets the flag and signals to be pulled back.

Zoey make an acrobatics roll as to not hit the walls while being pulled back. Those pulling on the cable make Strenght or Athletics checks to see how much you pull back in one round. You can pull her back the value you roll in feet.

Other than dropping the flag, she feels a bit out of place. To defend against the incoming crowd, she decides to drop a little smoke bomb, which she lands right on the mark, filling the forward part of the ship with billowing smoke. Blue area

Smoke grenade:

A smoke grenade deals no damage; instead, it releases a cloud of dense smoke. Each character who inhales smoke must succeed at a Fortitude saving throw each round (DC = 15 + 1 per previous check) or spend that round choking and coughing; he can do nothing else. A character who chokes for 2 consecutive rounds takes 1d6 nonlethal damage. (Active environmental protection from a suit of armor prevents this effect altogether.) Regardless of the armor a character wears, smoke obscures vision, granting concealment to anyone within it.

DM I believe you forgot your Fort saves for the smoke cloud, a failure would mean they can't act and might effect that Will save

Tech, hearing all the fire go off takes a more forward position in the hallway, setting his rifle to fire on the first Team Moxie member to exit the smoke cloud.

If we all move back behind that red rectangle next round, we have a much more favourable position. For now, I'm taking cover here and whacking anyone trying to cross over.
