Welcome aboard!
I intend to run this game according to the following rules:
1) I'm expecting roughly around 1 post per weekday and 1 per weekend. If we've been waiting on you for 24 hours I'll resolve things, either by botting you (if you 've posted your consent or instructions for doing so), or putting you on delay. Please let us know if you expect to be away for a while.
2) I'll be using block initiative, rolling your initiatives and resolving actions in post order. Feel free to post conditional actions like "I wait until the bard, then attack". If necessary I may roll saves for players too
3) I would like you all to put your basic information (AC, saves hit points etc) in your profile header, and your full character sheet in whichever format you prefer in your profile.
4) Please could you provide the following information in this thread before we begin:
Player Name (as it will appear on the chronicle):
Character Name:
Organized Play ID and character number:
Faction:
Thanks!

Pending party approval of character choice (this is the one I'd most like to play though)...

I always say play the character you most want to play, as you'll likely enjoy it more! Party balance is overrated :)
That said GL13 would you mind adding some more details of your character sheet to your profile? Things like feats, traits, equipment, skills etc. Thanks!
Also having now read the scenario, I realise I might have made a mistake in its selection. Without wanting to spoil anything, one of the elements of the story is a plague (it's been a while since I played it so I had forgotten). With everything that's going on in the world this might not be the best choice of escapism! That said it is a plague that took place in the past and isn't an especially large aspect of the story. If everyone is ok with it we can proceed, but I am open to finding another scenario you can all play if anyone would prefer.

Link to google doc of full character sheet now in character profile.
Got to transcribe my inventory tracking sheet to computer then I'll add that too.

![]() |

The scenario is fine with me.
Player: Lee C
Character: Eldrin Inarie

I'll update the profile with detailed character information today.

You know what, I would love to bring Zailus here! I'm really wanting to get her leveled up!

Archlich here! Thanks for the invite.
Player Name (as it will appear on the chronicle): Andre
Character Name: Lyrio
Organized Play ID and character number: 36459-2
Faction: Dark Archive

That's great thanks. We are just missing The Armenian Man's confirmation, but as I can see his details on his profile I'll get us under way imminently.
Your APL is exactly 3 with one player in the high subtier, so we'll be playing the high tier with the four player adjustment. Good luck!

The lion may not like Gillie much...
“ Unnatural
Source Advanced Race Guide pg. 151
Some ratfolk unnerve normal animals, and train to defend themselves against the inevitable attacks from such creatures. These ratfolk take a –4 penalty on all Charisma-based skill checks to affect creatures of the animal type, and receive a +2 dodge bonus to AC against animals. An animal’s starting attitude toward ratfolk is one step worse than normal. This racial trait replaces rodent empathy.”

![]() |

So it might go from helpful to friendly?

![]() |

Depends if it starts at helpful, friendly, or neural.

![]() |

I'd generally assume that an animal companion of someone going on a mission would be helpful, what with them being part of the player's class and the strict ban on PvP. Having an animal companion start as less than friendly is asking for trouble with that, assuming that they even use the NPC rules for this.
Also meant to say this WAY earlier , but Zailus is a Drag Queen. I hope nobody has problems with that, I try to play her in non-offensive manner, and can definitely reel things in if need be! Just say something.

GM Pudding |

For the purposes of this scenario that racial trait won't affect the mechanics of Radagosa, but Lyrio can roleplay them as wary of you Gillie if they want to.
I would also say they'd be helpful to party members normally

Oohhh I thought the comments about her build were reference to her elemental heritage.
No complaints here, Ru Paul is one of my favorite tv personalities
Speaking of potential RP issues. Please let me know if Gillie’s excitable way of speaking is driving anyone nuts. I can tone it down if need be.

![]() |

Don’t worry - she didn’t like him even before it was revealed, as she doesn’t like anyone other than Lyrio that much. ;) just kidding. But animal companions are trained. I don’t plan on roleplaying anything out of the ordinary in this matter. It’s not like Radagosa was going to “aid another” or chat with the ratfolk anyway.

![]() |

Just thought I'd mention it as I know some people RP their companions heavily

![]() |

Sure thing. I don't - honestly it's more of a nuisance to me. I like to RP the character and that's about it. For this specific character, the companion is part of his story and who he is / where he was raised. It obviously has its mechanic advantages, but it wasn't built for it (lion shamans aren't exactly that great).

![]() |

Well... I’m operating with 6 wisdom now... and a total of -2 for a will save...
Disclaimer: I didn’t dump wisdom, the grafted arm deals permanent wisdom damage

![]() |

Thanks for the game!
Day job, profession (fortune-teller): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (7) + 9 = 16

![]() |

Thank you for running the game and thank you everyone for playing.
Profession (Scribe): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
I don't think I used my re-roll, so I'll use it for the day job check.
Profession (Scribe): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27

![]() |

Thanks for running! In the down time Lyrio will memorize lesser restoration and "restore" Radagosa.
Profession (tanner): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24

![]() |

So glad that Zailus did not die to that disease!
I was hoping she could use the roll she did ij character for her day job, the idea of representing the day job roll in game is always fun. However I can understand if that wouldn't work so just in case:
Perform Dance: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19
Also this was part of Outpost wasn't it? Or am I misremembering that?

GM Pudding |

It wasn't part of outpost as I didn't want to join a convention and have a time limit when I'd not tried it before. I enjoyed it though so I'll definitely do the next PbP con!
As for the day job I think I'd be OK with that in future if you mentioned it before rolling, this time I'll take this last one.
I should also say if you'd like me to fill out the full details on the chronicle sheet (start XP, PP, Fame etc.) then you can provide those details as well either here or in a PM, otherwise I'll fill out just the the basics.

![]() |

is that wisdom damage from the haunt damage or drain?
Day job craft brewing: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15
@GM pudding thank you so much, this was fantastic. Would you be up to do another? I love adventuring with the same characters so they can build friendships

GM Pudding |

The Wisdom damage was just damage so it will go away naturally. I would like to do another, and I also quite like the idea of keeping characters together.
On the other hand I was thinking of doing a higher tier scenario in order to try my hand at more complex mechanics via play-by-post. I haven't decided yet, if you have any scenario suggestions you'd like to play feel free to post them and I'll consider them, and keep an eye on the flaxseed recruitment thread as I'll likely post something this weekend

![]() |

Tanbu day job craft alchemy.
dayjob: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
Sorry for holding things up.

![]() |

Man! A 1 on my day job. Blah!
Well, i enjoyed the run and the group. Hope to see you all again on the boards. GM Pudding thank you for putting this all together.
I am now gameless so hopefully something will brake free in recruitment. My other game also wrapped up.
Let me know if you need halfling rogue for any adventuring. Tanbu is fun to play.

GM Pudding |

Tanbu you already rolled a day-job in the recruitment thread so I took that one. You only rolled a 5 there so not much better though.
I PM'd everyone with a link to their chronicle sheet, so hopefully everybody has it now, and I've reported it to the OSP so it should show up on your accounts in a few weeks.
I've decided to run the Module "Carrion Hill" next which is for level 5 characters, I'd love to have any of you on if you have characters in the right range, level 4 would do in a pinch.

![]() |

I've got a level 6?

![]() |

Oh wow! I've just realised that that character could be INCREDIBLY fun in PbP since you've got time to RP.
She is essentially Mystic from x-men mechanics wise. Kitsune with the realistic likeness feat and a +36 to disguise... She can look EXACTLY like any human she has met.

![]() |

Wait no nvm. I forgot I she did this level slow track. Still level 5!
