Did we lose Badbhb?
I have not heard back from the player. Happy to bot him as very intelligent bird who mostly sticks with Kapelo. His behavior has been different since coming into contact with Yorse.
She will ask Burne where his mother is.
She will ask if he is aware of his father's state and if he is capable of singing the song for a time to relieve him.With her father reportedly gone, she not even go home. She will ask Burne if she can be hosted by them as she doesn't wish to be alone. If he is willing, she would catch up with him on the years she's missed (he would notice she may be sad, but she is still her cheery self and is sure they can overcome their worries).
She would like a time table of what happened and how his father knew what song to sing and when? Did he give any indication he knew what was going on?
Mother: Does not answer where his mother is at first. Seems angry at the question. At the end of the conversation, before you bid each other good night, he reveals that his mother is asleep, under the curse.
Father's condition: Evasive. He says he is confident that he can take over, but he says he believes his father can still last a long time. You are not sure if he actually believes this.
Residence: He agrees. And so really the current scene is -- he's not allowing you to leave his residence. You are under his protection.
Timeline: Burne does not know how his father knew anything. He did not have time to explain, and now is spending all his time singing or resting.
Song: The two of you speak through the evening about these technical details -- he seems to genuinely enjoy sharing the skill and art of watersinging and its many applications with you.

She too will enjoy singing with him. Before she knew it, she would find herself enthralled by his voice and skill, sure, but more so because she could see him as being an individual. He isn't Turin.
He has his own way about him, his own way of thinking and working, but it is still familiar to her. Comforting. She does not mind spending her time there at all. Her only restraint in that thought is the worry about his father whom they both love and the worry for her friends. She knows she will ultimately have to leave, and may not be allowed to do so, so at this opportunity, she tries to draw as close to Burne as possible to make him regret restraining her.
I'm planning on letting the scene sit for now -- I'm interested in how hard Freya and Kapelo are going to push to try and leave the city right away.
Long few days, planning on updating tomorrow.
I updated my other table -- my young son had appendicitis, but the surgery went very well (Wednesday) and he's actually recovering quite nicely. Anyway, that's why things were rather slow this week :)
Planning on updating more over the weekend .

Sorry for another slow week - I officially closed/ended one of my other tables (the one that had slowed down so much, it prompted me to start this current table)
I wanted to give the campaign a decent send-off rather than just stopping, so my mental energy has been elsewhere. I do much better with two tables, so I am anticipating more regular posting this upcoming week.

Nempura, I know you've always been a consistent poster. Freya, I think that lately you said you've been busy for the foreseeable future due to work, is that correct?
So if we have
1 consistent player
1 busy player
and let's be honest an often busy DM (being a teacher this year has been rough)
I've really enjoyed what we've RPed so far, but it's tough to keep going when players are leaving so frequently. I've never had this much turnover at a table before.
What do you both think? At this point I would need a consistent player to get us to at least 3. I've had success in the past when my players have suggested new blood from other tables on the boards. Can either of you think of such a poster?
Anyway, just my thoughts for now!
Unfortunately, all of my boards have slowed down but for one, which has missing/busy people all the time too. I don't have someone to suggest.
That's fair. I think that bringing in brand new characters into this current story won't work, and we don't have enough PCs anymore. I've enjoyed the game while it lasted, and I'll still try to leave it with some kind of ending note, so stay tuned before I make it inactive.
I'd have to say that most the players I know are busy as well. I'm sorry i haven't been as available as when i first started, but i really enjoyed the time we spent on it!
I think Freya normally posts on weekends? I'm happy to leave it open until end of day on Sunday, to give everyone their farewell post, and then a final closing post from me.
I've enjoyed this while it lasted, and if nothing else it gave me a chance to develop more about the undine culture and the south than I might otherwise have done. Rushing Falls, for instance, is a fantastic addition that came almost entirely from Nempura's player.
Well wishes to you all - I doubt I'll be starting another table in the near future, but who knows what 2022 and beyond will bring.

Mysterious! :D Thank you for running that campaign for us and that cool rush of doom at the end! It was truly fun. Thank you to everyone who joined in on the group, and especially Freya who made it from beginning to the end with Nempura.

Yes thank you very much! Had a lot of fun with an different archtype of character than i normally play, and the world felt absolutely full of interesting details. Sorry that i had to slow down so much, but unfortunately i don't think i'm going to be free for a long time.
