Another grouchy remark from Yangrit: "Oh, come on! We may as well finish searching down here before we go back up to see Mistress Koi." The giantess fish's name is spoken with a not-so-subtle sneer. "There is no use in trekking up and down the stairs multiple times; she is liable to drown us down here if we dally too long. In addition, the missing GIANT UNDEAD CARCASS has my hackles raised. Come on, you lot. We are going this way." She then stubbornly takes ten as she swims over to the door that CrocoDeluge indicated and looks back to see who's with her.

Pau sighs. He knew leaving that book of vile darkness all by its lonesome wasn’t a good idea, but he followed the others. At least he might be able to tell them that I told you so later.

Those members of the party that decide to remain below head back into confining maze of the back passages and find themselves in a cartographium (the northeastern chamber). The water’s surface here is carpeted with maps made of silk, vellum, birch bark, and sundry other materials that have floated out of their shelves due to the flood.

Xusius follows Yangrit over to the door, glad to see that others are ready to find the missing fugitive elf. Upon arriving, he uses Detect Magic while using his Perception skill to look for things related to their quest.

Bernhard heads out into the central chamber to keep watch alone. Remind me. Does Bernard have a light?
Meanwhile, the rest of the party investigates the map chamber and the unfurled maps that sit in the water like huge lily pads in a marsh.
Maintaining his concentration, and bobbing slowly through the chest-high water (because the shelves and their remaining atlases) are thick enough to block detect magic) turns up a couple of objects with magical auras in his search.
Among the many many many lily pad maps one particularly colorful silk one done in a Tian-style portrays Tian Xia mashed into the side of Avistan to create a strange super-continent. It also has a faint magical aura.
Behind one of the back shelves, bobbing in the water, is a much smaller, but no less ornate art piece--an engraved wooden bookmark with a golden tassel. The thin plane of wood is etched with arcane designs in a vaguely Mwangi pattern. This item too boasts a faint aura as well.

Still no sign however of the fragments of the scroll you are looking for though.

Trailing along behind Deluge, Yangrit strains to keep her head above water as she is swung back and forth. Despite the less than ideal circumstances, she feels like she's done a good job searching for the scroll pieces. Still... Nothing. "Rrrrgh! Does anyone see those dad-gummed scroll pieces? If they are not here, we should move on to the next area quickly. The sooner we get this over with, the sooner we can all get dry with a cup of mulled wine." Is the water getting higher? It seems higher. Yangrit shoves her panic deep down, pulling the customary thick blanket of grouchiness up to smother it.

Derp! Nope i don't! Any torches i would have are probably watterlogged.
"Eh, ahh, Xusius, could you cast a light spell on my bow for me, i guess i'm very forgetful in my old age." He smiles awkwardly.

Assuming that happens Bernard doesn't hear or see much besides hundreds of gallons of water splattering down the stairs from above, and echoing throughout the vaulted chamber.
Similarly, after a sweep of the the cartographium both above and below water, Deluge and Yangrit don't turn up anything else that seems pertinent to their cause just some, old maps that probably wouldn't be of use to anyone.

The party finds itself in front of a closed door in the northeastern wing of the understacks, where Deluge finds a bit of the scroll the group has been searching for. No, not just floating around in paper-clogged back hall, but nailed to the door by a fancy dagger just below the waterline....
The door handle seems a bit loose, and the door itself stuck.
It looks as though it might be forced with a Strength check.

A thin waterfall drops from a grate in the ceiling fifteen feet above, creating a curtain in the doorway to this flooded room. Beyond, mounted animal heads glower from virtually every inch of every wall. Stuffed specimens also lurk beneath the dark water, their antlers, horns, and claws breaking the surface here and there like twigs in a swamp. In the eastern corner, a large gilded cage sits mostly submerged, its waters thick with embalmed birds bobbing at the surface.
The stranger still is the sound of someone singing.

Do you mean this bit of scroll right here? Otherwise from his current location he doesn't see anything else aside from several hundred stuffed heads.
Xusius heads towards the source of the music, double moving as the slogs through the water.
It's actually a lot more of slog than you think. It takes 4 squares of movement for every one you would normally take if you are walking. So a double move is 3 spaces (or two if they are both diagonals). To speed things up a bit I'm going to take Bernard and Hannar's actions since I know what they are. Both double move (or otherwise move as far they can).

Yangrit looks around the room and spots the singer up on a wall standing on what looks like a metallic bull's head about 12 feet from wherever the floor is. She's a small feral-looking creature with tiny webbed hands and wild hair. Her expression seems crazed, but even crazier is her mouth. Her mouth is crammed to overfilling with an assortment of teeth that don't appear to be her own. Some of them obviously come from larger creatures and hang out of her mouth at odd angles. Many of them are pointed and look like they come from predatory animals. She smiles horribly as she sings.
Then as if they were waiting on him to get that far trio of tiny, pink, flesh-winged things, bearing a set of rusty pliers zip in from all directions toward Hannar's face.
The PCs may each roll one knowledge check for each of the described creatures and open all the spoilers that apply to their result.

You can get to the middle of the room for the cost of an AoO from the fairies (see map).
