Relieved to be moving again, Gnasher takes point heading down the stairs. Seeing the long hallway and the shorter hallway to the left, he nods that way. "Gnasher not like leaving possible enemies to rear." Turning to the east, he pauses at the door. Inspecting it for a moment, As long as he doesn't see any traps he reaches out and attempts to open it.

Oh I think you know the answer to that question.

Giving a wolfish smile, Gnasher turns towards the others and nods towards the door, "Voices." Keeping his bardiche balanced with one hand on his shoulder, he opens the door with his other hand.


Yea, mostly I wanted the other players icons on the map. I prefer for the players to place their own icons in case a fireball happens or something. Not that one is coming, of course.

"aaarrrrgggghhhhhh" Struck by the three polearms, Gnasher let's out a roar. Bleeding he begins to rage. His paws grow into overly large claws, his eyes glow red, his fangs enlarge and he begins to froth at the mouth. While his brown hide takes on a red-orange cast to it, giving a peculiar laugh. Raising his bardiche high he slashes twice at the man in front of him, and then steps inside the room to close the distance.

Frowning slightly, Seif-al-Din decides to give the guards a Blessing from the Everlight.

Burst of Radiance. DC 17 Reflex, or be Blinded for 1d4 ⇒ 2 Rounds (Dazzled for the same duration on a success).

If they are Evil, they *also* take 5d4 ⇒ (1, 2, 3, 4, 3) = 13 damage, no save.

It is a 10' radius burst, so I should be able to center it to hit all of them, and none of us.


Malgrim takes another one down.

Jerking his bardiche from the falling man, Gnasher steps over the body of the guard Malgrim killed. Lifting his weapon high, he looks at the last man who wounded him. "Guards should have laid down weapons." Not caring the man was now blind, he chopped repeatedly at the white guard.

FYI, normally, 'Total Defense' is a dodge bonus... which you lose (alongside your Dexterity bonus) when you are Blind, which *also* imposes a -2 penalty to AC on top of everything else.

Seif-al-Din delays, confident his allies can finish mopping-up the guards before their blindness wears off.

Malgrim gathers more water to him and sends a blast at the guard Gnasher did not attack.

Gather Power, Empower and attack the uninjured guy.

So AC 24 or 20 if Gnasher is providing cover. If that hits I do 40 magical bludgeoning damage.


The two never knew what hit them and Gnasher knocks one into the wall while Malgrim KOs the other one. The remaining guard cannot see that he is all alone and keeps up the fight, still on all out defense.

And it was going so well for them at first!

Sorry should have posted this yesterday. I think the one still standing is white, but making a generic post in case it's not. Third round of rage, so he's 'fast healed 9 HP so far, right?

Shifting his feet, Gnasher lifts the bardiche and attacks the last standing guard.

Sounds right. So Gnasher is at -35 before the combat ends.

The guard goes down and the battle ends.

This room contains six rickety looking cots, a table with a deck
of playing cards spread out over it, and a weapon rack that
holds several weapons. You could probably get a handful of change by looting the bodies, but not much else.

"We can search for anything of interest later. We should move quickly incase this Jackal or others have heard the fight." Malgrim says as he moves to let Sief get to Gnasher and squeezes past the tiger to get to the southern hallway.

If I cannot squeeze past I will wait for Seif to order the tiger back and then move south.


There is room if you want to squeeze over her. I'll say the ceilings are 10' high in the corridors, say 15' in the rooms.

Releasing his rage, Gnasher takes a deep breath. Telling Magrim as he recovers from his fatigue, "Give Gnasher moment." He draws out a wand of infernal healing, tapping himself with it he then returns the wand to his pouch. Holding his finger up, waits a minute.

Nodding to Malgrim and Seif, "We go now." Stepping past the tiger, he continues down the hallway behind Malgrim. As they reach the next corridor he gestures to the right, "Take hallway?"

So being unchained he needs a minute to not be fatigued. That gives him the minute to do the 10 rounds for the wand. so + 10 HP

How very convenient!

You round the corner and are confronted with another door. You listen an hear nothing this time and open the door. This room contains several statues that depict an odd arrangement of characters. The largest stands in one corner of the room and is a man with the face of a spider. His arms are outstretched, palms up, and each hand cradles a spider nearly the size of the hand itself. Prostrate before it are three more statues, these depicting devil-like, winged creatures with horns and tails. In addition to these strange statues, a few crates and chests sit against the edges of the room.

Convenient? Yes I think so as well, I should be thanking your for recommending the 'unchained' adaption.

Standing in the doorway Gnasher looks into the room. Shaking his head he confesses, "Gnasher not know statues meaning. Maybe what potions are for." He shakes his head, "Maybe solve mystery after find 'Jackal’?" He looks to his two companions to see if either of them have a better understanding of what they are looking at.

As they move Gnasher acknowledges the conversation about the statues. "Gnasher believe Catman right, statues probably gargoyles."

Pausing at the intersection with Malgrim and Seif, Gnasher gestures towards the nearest door at the end of the hall. "Tribe check near door?" As he asks, he moves towards the door, listening carefully he inspects the door quietly. [oc]unless trapped[/ooc] Holding the bardiche in one paw, he tries to open the door with the other.

Gnasher is unable to detect anything interesting in the room and opens the door. This room is decorated with lavish silk wall hangings, a circular multi-colored carpet, and numerous incense burners. A gold-plated sarcophagus decorated with numerous hieroglyphs sits in the center of the room. In addition to the everything else there is a door on the west wall.

Waiting long enough for Malgrim and Seif to peek in the door, Gnasher nods towards the hallway they passed. Closing the door, he looked forwards to coming back and opening the sarcophagus, just as soon as they found what they came for. Stopping at the door down the hallway, he again listened at the door and inspected it for traps. If he thinks the door is safe, he will carefully open it up.

Gnasher does not hear anything in the room and finds that the door is stuck. In fact it has a lock and that is probably the reason it won't budge. No traps though. Fell like knocking?

"Let me." Malgrim says as he pulls out his tools.

I will take 10 to find traps as well. That gives me a 29 total. If I see no traps, I open the lock.

You mess with the lock and after a few seconds it pops open. Gnasher opens the door to find an irate man cursing him as he casts a spell.

I move to see him and then fire! I believe with the room height you gave I can avoid cover by arcing over Gnasher.

After Magrim blasts the man with water, Gnasher drops his bardiche and steps into the room beginning to rage. Now having space, he enlarges, his paws grow into overly large claws, his eyes glow red, his fangs enlarge and he begins to froth at the mouth. While his brown hide takes on a red-orange cast to it, giving a peculiar laugh. Glaring at the man, he attacks with tooth and claw.

Oh and since he's raging + 3 HP


That's right. correct me if I am wrong, but I believe Gnasher was at -25 after the infernal healing finished and this will put him at -22.

Malgrim misses but Gnasher messes him up pretty good. So good in fact, that he collapses.

Seif-al-Din loses no time rifling through the man's possessions.


This room appears to be the bedroom and main chamber for an important individual. A large bed with a chest at its foot sits against one wall, while against the opposite wall stands a small bloodstained altar with fragments of flesh on it. Shelves carved into the walls contain books, tiny statuettes of spiders and scorpions, and bottles of wine. The bookshelf holds numerous reprehensible and relatively worthless texts devoted to the worship of Rovagug.

On his body you find a wand, obviously magical and will discover that the plate armor and great axe are magical. His valuables consist or a gold unholy symbol of Rovagug.

With our past experiences would Gnasher have recognized the items referencing Rovagug?

Frowning at the spiders and scorpions, Gnasher notices the axe. Having sold his other axe, Gnasher picks up the great axe and tucks it in his rucksacks straps on back, looking at the others he shrugs, "Just in case." After catching his breath for a minute literally he gestures back towards the hallway, "Shall we?"

Wands have 5 charges that need to be renewed by casting a spell into them. They work like staffs in this world.

Absolutely.

You head on down the hall and find a less complicated room with a single large wooden table, surrounded by six chairs. there is an exit door to the north and south.

Keeping his bardiche at the ready Gnasher moves carefully into the room. Gesturing towards the right, "Tribe see if door lead back to Rovagug worshiper's room." He then carefully inspects the door for traps. Hopefully believing it safe, he attempts to open it.

The door opens into a 15' corridor with a door at the end. Definitely not to the priest's room, at least not directly.

Finding another hallway, Gnasher realizes the basement structure does not follow the same lay out as the upper building. Moving forwards to the next door he points out the obvious, "Basement seem to be tunnels instead of same foundation as warehouse." Having come to the door at the end of the hallway he stop and inspects it, listening for sound and searching for traps. If he finds nothing he then attempts to open the door.

You hear a constant roaring sound you believe is water. Not alarmed by the sounds that water makes, you open the door and see a relatively small section of worked stone floor which overlooks an immense sea cave. The roof arches to nearly twenty feet above the surging waters below.
