Seeing Seif quickly comeing back towards him, Gnasher asks "Did Cat-man find Tamir?" Moving forwards, he shifts to the left. Seeing the blue bird he chops at it with his bardiche.

Malgrim moves in and sees Gnasher attack the bird. So he sends a bolt of water at the creature.
Move, so no gathering power or empowering. Instead just a normal bolt with cover from the doorway.

The creature is cut up and washed down the drain by the powerful combination of attacks. Shadow is left outside unable to do more than listen and intimidate the guards and receptionist, who is currently string to slink by the tiger and escape.
As the yellowish bird tries to engage Gnasher, he gets an attack on it as it swoops through the door. Gnasher can hear the woman calling upon destruction upon your arses but cannot see her.

Unfortunately, in a situation where I cannot use Shadow, I am pretty much useless, outside some niche situations.
Seif-al-Din does his best to soothe Shadow, keeping an eye on both the guards, and the monsters.

miteke |

Seif decides to sit this one out and watch the heavy hitters in action. Gnasher sees the elf woman appear as she casts a spell on him. The receptionist tries to slip past the tiger and go running off into the streets.

Will DC 17: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19
Feeling something warm and fuzzy pass over him, Gnasher cocks his head and looks at the elf. A soft giggle starts to rumble from his chest, His paws grow into overly large claws, his eyes glow red, his fangs enlarge and he begins to froth at the mouth. While his brown hide takes on a red-orange cast to it. As he begins to rage he drops the bardiche and attacks the odd yellow bird with tooth and claw.

Malgrim Gryh |

Does Sief have any idea what Tamir cast?
"This is over. Surrender or die." Malgrim says to the woman as he gathers water to him once more.
5 ft step and Gather Power. Ready an Empowered Blast if she takes any non-move action.
Water Blast w/Elemental Overflow , PBS : 1d20 + 9 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 9 + 1 + 2 = 28

If an AC 28 hits she takes 33 magical bludgeoning damage.

Not taking his unarmed threat seriously, the woman begins to cast a spell. It is viciously interrupted. Now she looks worried.

'Gnasher' Red Claw |

So if Gnasher is doing 'non-lethal with a 'claw attack' it's still at - 4 right?
Shaking his muzzle as the woman ignores Malgrim's offer, Gnasher strides into the room. As he moves he asks, "Tribe take prisoner?" As he asks, instead of biting the bard, he attempts to back hand her.
15 ft move, Rage 2/18, AC 23 non-lethal attack: claw, PA
attack: claw: 1d20 + 14 - 2 - 4 ⇒ (19) + 14 - 2 - 4 = 27 for damage: 1d6 + 4 + 2 + 1 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 + 2 + 1 + 4 = 16

1 person marked this as a favorite. |

Good question. Fists are normally non-lethal and need a feat to be lethal, but claws are normally lethal and you need a feat to make them nonlethal or do the -4. So, if you want to do non-lethal you should either attack with your fists doing fists damage, or, as you did, take the -4 and use your normal claw attack.
Gnasher KO's her and she sags to the ground unconscious.
Combat over!

'Gnasher' Red Claw |

Seeing the elf fall, Gnasher quickly takes his pack off and pulls out his rope. As he ties her hands behind her back, and begins to tie her arms and legs he asks the others, "Tribe search warehouse then question elf?"

Malgrim Gryh |

Malgrim grabs the elf by an arm and drags her along with the group to where the tiger is to watch over her.

'Gnasher' Red Claw |

Smiling a wolfish smile as Malgrim unceremoniously drops the elf near the tiger, Gnasher points towards the eastern door, asking. "Ghost open eastern door?"

Malgrim Gryh |

Malgrim will nod and move to try and open the door.
I will search it and then disable whatever is holding the door closed.
Perception: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (17) + 18 = 35
Disable Device as Needed: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (7) + 20 = 27

When you say eastern door, do you mean B6? Because Seif opened that one and launched the melee we just had.
I'm going to assume you bypass the Arcane Lock spell on the door to B4 (instead of B6). B4 is filled with riches and finery, all awaiting the proper customer. Casks of rare alcohols, bejeweled statuettes of long-forgotten fertility goddesses, stacks of elegant tapestries, and cases of unusual weapons are among the items stored here. The most immediately notable item stands against the middle of the south wall—an ancient
sarcophagus bearing the raised silhouette of a noble of ancient Osirion.
Time to level up folks. This room also just happens to have the equipment you gain when you level up. WBL puts you at 33,000 gp each.

'Gnasher' Red Claw |

Frowning when he realizes the 'scholar' is not being kept prisoner in the vault full of valuables, Gnasher let's out a very human like sigh and turns towards Seif, pointing towards the northern door and asks, "Tribe check that door next?"

Malgrim Gryh |

"Some of these look nice. Lets grab it and then we can check the next door." Malgrim says as he scans the room for goodies.
I will level up now and post when I am finished on the Discussion board.

'Gnasher' Red Claw |

Nodding in agreement with Malgrim, Gnasher picked up a magical belt with a large platinum buckle. Putting the belt on he smiled, then asked Seif, "Cat man taking anything?"
Once everyone was done selecting items, Gnasher hefted his bardiche and opened the northern door.

Malgrim Gryh |

Malgrim picks up a nice looking ring and two wands that look like the one he already carries. He then nods to Gnasher and follows silently after him as they move further into the warehouse.

miteke |

The door to the north leads to a busy warehouse floor. This massive room is over a hundred feet or more in length and width, but the towering stacks of crates and containers make it difficult to discern exact dimensions. The building’s floor is of hard-packed sand over stone. Some areas are completely open, while others are veritable mazes of crates stacked all the way up to the ceiling twenty feet above. The crates themselves are of wood, and no single crate is larger than five feet square, making it possible to clamber up and around on them with a little work.
The supervisor's office still needs to be explored. I do not think you have even set foot in it yet. Oh, and the room with the guards hiding out.

'Gnasher' Red Claw |

Realizing the warehouse would be impossible to search in the time they had, Gnasher turns and gestures back the way they came. "Tribe search elf office, maybe wake her and learn more."
He moves back into the office where they found the elf woman and Tamir and begins searching the room for anything relevant.
Will start by taking 10(21) on perception

miteke |

After rummaging around you find the following
B5: A shelf above the eastern desk contains a narrow wooden coffer with the message “In Case of Accidental Petrification” burnt into the lid. Inside are two pottery jars, each containing a dose of stone salve.
B6: Hidden under the carpet is a trapdoor. The trapdoor is locked and will need some encouragement.

Malgrim Gryh |

Malgrim searches it for traps and then tries to open the trapdoor.
Perception for Traps: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (7) + 19 = 26
Disable Device: 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (10) + 21 = 31

Seif-al-Din ibn-Subhi |

With a deep sense of foreboding, Seif-al-Din carefully stows away the pottery jars. (although frankly I think we are better off if Malgrim holds onto them, since he has the best Fort save!)
"This does not bode well... there must be some kind of creature down below that can petrify..."

'Gnasher' Red Claw |

Kicking the dead body of the chicken-like creature out of the way, Gnasher steps towards the spiral staircase. As Seif comments about a 'creature that can petrify' Gnasher nods solemnly. "Maybe Gnasher go first then." Pausing to think for a moment, He nods back towards the captured woman, "Tribe ask elf before tribe go below?" He smiles a wolfish smile. "Maybe make elf go first."
Happy to go below or interrogate the elf if it will provide information.

Malgrim Gryh |

"Perhaps we should ask the elf what she knows before we go. If this just links into the sewers it will not help us find the next place." Malgrim says.
Perception to smell the Sewers or anything else of note below: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (16) + 19 = 35

'Gnasher' Red Claw |

Nodding in agreement with Malgrim, Gnasher drags the elf back into the office. Not wanting to waste wand or spell on her, he looks from Magrim to Seif, "Have smelling salts?"

miteke |

She wakes up and screams, then shuts her mouth with a snap and glares at you all. She eyes the door, obviously weighing her chances at making a dash for it. Sadly, you are all blocking the way and, little does she know, there is a tiger in the lobby that would prove a final hurdle.
"What do you want?"
She makes the question sound more like a curse than a question.

Seif-al-Din ibn-Subhi |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |

Seif-al-Din favors her with a mildly aggrieved expression.
"Information, of course. Where is Tamir, where is Rayhan, and what is down that tunnel?"
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (5) + 15 = 20.
Diplomacy, Borrow Fortune re-roll: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (16) + 15 = 31.

Seif-al-Din ibn-Subhi |

"Well, I can't speak for the others, but I intend to let you go. I don't go out of my way to murder people who aren't actively trying to kill me. Fair warning, though: If your boss is up to no good, the Pactmasters may not be as forgiving - you might want to get out of the city quickly."

'Gnasher' Red Claw |

Nodding his head in agreement with Seif, Gnasher turns and looks at the woman, shrugging. "Gnasher has no grudge against elf. Answer question honestly and leave."

Malgrim Gryh |

"How many are down there with him?" Malgrim says as he looks at the woman and judges her words.
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8

'Gnasher' Red Claw |

Hearing 'the Jackal' and Rayhan was below, Gnasher gives a wolfish smile adding, "Tribe can deal with Tamir later." Calculating how long it would take to 'remove' a half dozen guards, he asks "Any traps?"
As they talk, he considers the guards back in the other room, then looking towards the elf considers her. Nodding towards the elf he asks, "Tribe leave this one tied until tribe return? What tribe do about guards in other room?"

Malgrim Gryh |

"I think they are planning on staying in there, but we can try and block the door if we want them to stay put for now." Malgrim says.

'Gnasher' Red Claw |

Nodding as the elf answers his question, Gnasher turns towards, Malgrim. "Gnasher just not want them trying to stop us or warn Rayhan." He looks from Malgrim back towards Seif. "Any more questions?"
Whenever Magrim and Seif are ready to go
Once the questions are answered, Gnasher, bardiche in hand begins to descend the stairs keeping a keen eye out as he goes.
Taking 10(21) on perception

Malgrim Gryh |

Malgrim will try and shove a chair under the door to block them off and then say, "Lets go."
