A question for Chill, would it be easier if we rolled the saves we provoke with spells and such? As players we could do the rolls as straight D20's, and then state the bonus they would need to succeed (remember ties to the defender folks) against the DC of the effect.

eg.If Vakmu has targeted a direboar with a hex, DC 19, I would include a line.
Dire Boar Hypothetical Save, DC 19: 1d20 ⇒ 12 Needs a +7 to save
and as I have done here, the player would edit in after rolling and say the Boar needs a +N to save

Wasn't really asking you. ( You who does not provoke large numbers of rolls out of the GM. ) ...

In general, having spent some time on the far side of the screen myself (doing it poorly, I might add), anything I can do to make the GM's life easier, makes it more likely that a) I'll have a game to play, and b) that said game will go smoothly and more quickly ... (also, c) keeping said GM happy means less of "Oooh, a passing great red wyrm spots the party, that's unlucky, roll for initiative..")

Poking at various people's profiles suggests that everyone survived their holidays and into the new year (have posted on or later than Jan 1 2020)... with the sole exception of Chillblame!

As for myself, I am back home, and doing fine; hopefully you are doing the same.

Hey Chill,

The +6 Intelligence (+3 bonus) comes from the Class Archetype for Brown Fur Transmuter. The level 3 Arcanist exploit is replaced by:

Powerful Change (Su)
At 3rd level, the brown-fur transmuter learns to harness the power of her magic to empower her transmutations. Whenever the brown-fur transmuter casts a transmutation spell using one of her arcanist spell slots, she can expend 1 point from her arcane reservoir as a free action to bolster the spell. If the spell grants a bonus to an ability score, the bonus then increases by 2. If it grants a bonus to more than one ability score, only one of the ability scores gains this bonus. The brown-fur transmuter cannot expend more than 1 point from her arcane reservoir in this way.

This ability replaces the arcanist exploit gained at 3rd level.

Re-reading to catch back up and plan my turn, @Vakmu is there a time/turn limit on all that entanglement? Right now I think the plan is to regroup with Fergus and Fenla who look to be in combat (Unless that boar is Fenla's)

@Hawthorne - Did we have a specific plan outside of lure mobs to the trap?

M Half Orc| HP 67+8/67| w/ shield: AC: 19, T: 11, FF:18 | Spd: 30ft/ 20ft w/armor | Shaman 7 | Init +7, Darkvision 60; Percept: +15, Sense Motive: +5 | Saves: F: +7, R: +7, W: +14 | CMB +6 / CMD 16

Entangles last 7 minutes = 70 combat rounds...

I expect big Johann to charge Fergus (he can also get a charge line to Fenla, given his reach, if he wants, but I am assuming Fergus is drawing the attention).

Fergus is going to suck the hit (assuming that big J hits), and focus his full attack on the boar, and use Lay on Hands on himself as a swift. He will take the AoO on the boar when/if it gets up from prone. He might do a 5' adjust but that's about it...Between that and the arrows Rommin stuck in it, hopefully the boar will go down...

I'm not sure if Vrianna and Brother H are currently hiding, but if you two can get into position to sneak attack/flank big J (especially if you can do it with just a move action, allowing you to delay and then take a partial charge, hitting big J this turn), looks like decent strategy to me.

Q for both Vrianna and Hawthorne. What do you have by way of missile attacks? (we have a lot of enemies in entangles, who should be shot up as much as possible before they get out...)

Male Halfling Acquisitionist - 7 | Init +6 | Perception: +11 (+3 vs traps, +2 to avoid being surprised) HP:67/67 8NL AC: 24* TCH: 18 FF: 17 CMD: 20* | F+6*, R+13*, W+4*

Our immediate plan is "to survive."

My missile attacks are woefully inadequate for the circumstances. I shall be staying out of all of those area effect spells, but if bad guys break through, and get amongst the party, rest assured, I'll dive in and start kicking butt!

I have a Composite (12) Longbow I can switch to with a full range of 110ft I can switch to if necissary. It has no bonuses or magic or anything but I can apply Bane to it for extra damage if needed. I don't think any of my spells are ranged.

If I can get into flanking distance on Big J my inquisitor Solo Tactics bonus feats should kick in and let me sneak attack plus bane or magic. At the very least, getting into flanking range should help Fergus and Fenla depending on what they want to do.

That's Rommin with the bow and Fenla with the little sickle. Also, you haven't put a name on your Icon, and you can (and an HP meter, like I did for Vakmu and Fergus) - each player can edit our own icons. You just double click your own icon and an edit box pops up.

Fergus is on set so that everybody can edit (I think), so you can see what I did to set him up, if you double click him.

My plan is to move toward Fenris/Fenla and provide support - flank Big J, buffs, distraction, depends on how far it is - I think it's a full move action to get there. I'm not sure if anybody is still chasing us.

I can switch to my bow and take some shots at whoever but it won't be as effective. What about you?

EDIT: Checked the oll20 map and Big J wasn't where I thought he was. Still thinking about regrouping with Fenla/Rommin/Fergus, since it seems Johann is headed in their direction.

Suggestion for Vrianna: Delay until Big J moves. If Big J goes where I think he might, he's going to be in position for you to charge into a flank - although you will have to worry about the AoO from his reach.

Meanwhile on the other edge of the battlefield...I plan watching what the crap-ton of boars and ogres actually do here before committing to an action. Presuming they move towards the main group or run the hell away, I plan on getting out of the cage and helping the other wagon of prisoners get free.

I have 1 or 2 more buff spells that might make me less conspicuous before raging into a huge bear but I my tendency would be to bear up right after getting out. I think it will depend on how many enemies are going where, given the massive amounts of battlefield control going off. Or if there are dissenting shouts from the party on the battlefield that help convince to continue buffing. ;)

Hey Ungor, I agree with wait, boars that run are things we don't need to kill, although I would like to get the ogres...
Two thoughts
1) Can you calm the mammoth, which as of last report is still picketed (I think)? I suspect that's where we will find your gear, so lets avoid having to chase it, especially because come morning time, this can be in play. A trained mammoth could be really useful...
2) The other thing I don't like escaping, besides the ogres, is that Orc Leader. Is it practical for you to hunt him down? (ie. can you follow his trail?)

Male Werebear-kin skinwalker Druid (bear shaman) 7 (AC: 23 current | HP: 80/80 | CMD (base) 24 | F+12, R+3, W+10 | Init: +1 | Perc: +13 | Lowlight vision

With my speed boost, I will not let the orc leader get away for sure (50' move and no problem moving through the underbrush like he may have).

as to the mammoth, doubtful. but if it is a normal animal and not threatened...then it is only one DC 10 will save away from being calmed. (regular calming will take probably more time than we want to allow until combat is over.)

that being said, if there are no threats Ungor can "munch on", then detecting magic; finding his gear; and recovering is going to be a top priority. :)
