Apoligies. A little different, I finally got back to work. I should be posting regular from now. Thanks for your patience.

Now, as to Wilrin, it looks like he has ghosted. He hasn't replied to my PM. So options, rerecruit or not worry about it.

Welcome back @chill.

Shame about Wilrin. IMO, since we had multiple folks submit for a chance to play, I would offer to the runner up a chance to join.

break break
for the game, Ungor is going to want to push faster now that his total buff game is on (the next 7 mins of game time.). Then he wouldn't argue with discussions to withdraw and recoup. :)

Chill's not pining for the Fjords! Excellent!

WRT Wilrin, that's... annoying. I'd perhaps start recruiting, but take your time about it. I don't know where we will next have an opportunity to change a PC... Options are either a) Pull what we did with Fergus: Bot Wilrin (either Chill or one of us), and write him out at the next opportunity (or kill him) b) as part of the recruitment, offer someone the option to join immediately, if they took over the Wilrin PC. Another thing to note is that so far, we haven't needed the extra PC, and smaller parties are easier for the GM (IMO).

Pining for the Fjords? Pining for the Fjords? Joined the choir invisible. An EX Dm. Not likely, cobber.

Looking at the map, are you sure we are working with a 5x5 square for the grid, and not 10 x10? Would make these hallways and bed and so forth a lot more appropriately size for 10' tall Hill Giants ...

I wouldn't change anything this fight, but after we are done with these ogres...

So, are we changing the scale? It does change the tactics.

I hadn't heard of it before, but I'm going to have to check it out!

Not that I'm a marine type, just curious.

Male Werebear-kin skinwalker Druid (bear shaman) 7 (AC: 27 current | HP: 68/70 | CMD (base) 25 /if Squeezing 21| F+11, R+4, W+10 | Init: +3/2(when in large bear)/1(when in huge bear) | Perc: +13 | Lowlight vision & darkvision 30'

There is a long standing debate about the book.

option 1--It is meant to inspire people to take action with only a minimal set of guidance.

option 2--It is an example of someone who doesn't ask enough questions to get the full picture before they go off and do something inefficient.

So I jabbed at BH via text that he was taking too long to decide what to do; chiding him with option 1 above. :) even though I'm an option 2 person.

Male Dwarf Swashbuckler/Bard 10 HP: 110/110 AC: 29 TCH: 18 FF: 21 CMD: 28 | F+4*, R+12*, W+7*

Plus, the book never tells you what the damn "message" is!!!

I would posit that virtually every officer in the United States Marine Corps has read this book. It's a very quick read, with pretty large font, otherwise most Marines couldn't read and understand it.

Can't you make a charge out of that & Sneak attack?

Vakmu PM'd me this, but I figured I'd answer it in the open.

"No."

Charge wrote:

For those reasons in these two quotations, and specifically what I have bolded, I cannot charge the giant.

At the beginning of the turn, I was on the same row as the giant, with a wall between us (no line of sight), and an 800lb bear-PC also between me and the door (contains a creature (even an ally)).

Female Orc

I have missed a couple of spells proper effects, so I am going to change my format a bit. I will post up all current spell effects when I post. This is just an information thingy and allows the party and me to see what is currently ticking over long posts. Just the duration spells, instantaneous ones are not necessary to track by me, except there effect.

If I have missed a spell please let me know, and I will add it.

I will also post up the monsters HP and AC for the party to see. This can allow for dramatic role-play if you want.

Female Orc

I am also going to increase the frequency of my posting to once a day at least. I will be a bit easy on that so everyone is on board for a week or so, so we can all catch up.

Good to know @chill...do you want just party spells or individuals as well?

Female Orc

Probably best if all spells are listed, but only if they do something like impose a miss chance, or require a save. Don't worry about AC boosters, buffs in general and so on

@Vakmu, I cannot find the spell Silk string Snare. Can you post it up?

It isn't a spell, it's a hex, Silk String Snare (you'll have to scroll down...).

Female Orc

OK then she made the save, but it is good to know. Nice hex.

Female Orc

Silkstring Snare (Su) (Legacy of the First World pg. 17): The shaman causes ribbons of spider silk to erupt from the ground beneath a single creature. The target must succeed at a Reflex save or be entangled and anchored in place. The foe can escape the silk as a standard action with a successful Escape Artist or Strength check at the same DC, or by dealing an amount of damage to the silk equal to double the shaman’s class level (the silk has hardness 0). This hex lasts a number of rounds equal to 3 + the shaman’s Wisdom modifier. A creature affected by this hex cannot be affected by it again for 24 hours.

Just for my info

It's biggest selling point is the reflex save; most hexes target Will, and then fortitude... BTW, what is the light level inside the steading? I have Enveloping Void too ...

Yeah, but with cover from the corner is a lot better for hers - you missed with a roll of 17 last round...

Depending where Hawthorne moves, she might move forward to get at me (s&*$!), or a better shot at you. Or she might just try to squish Brother H.
