I just noticed I didn't have Inspire Courage turned on for the angels' last attacks.
You forgot. That's on you. I'm not editing that nightmare of a post again.

From Rinaldo's last action
"Rinaldo rides around the corner, and joins the angels surrounding the leader.
Both Rinaldo and Colwyn Taking the +2 to attack/AC/Reflex. Swift action to activate Arcane Strike, move to begin Inspire Courage. Colwyn attacks with Lunge, Power Attack, and Vital Strike."
I added it to my attacks. Of course you have acted again so can choose to not keep it going.

Is Rinaldo maintaining the performance this round?

![]() |

Yes, I will maintain this round, though I may have to drop soon.
I'm not used to having so many encounters in a single adventuring day. Rinaldo's going to use up all his performance rounds, which hasn't happened in a VERY long time.

Haha, I've been wondering if we're gonna finish this whole module without resting. My resources are still more than fine.

I'm not sure if Bladethirst is a good call here. Right now the bow is +4 due to Greater Magic Weapon and ignoring concealment is costing me a swift action and 2 ki points. Bladethirst can make that +5, seeking, and maybe Shocking. But at the loss of +3 to hit and damage from Inspire.
virtuoso performance gets around that but with a high rounds cost.
Also since you used an immediate action to cast Gallant Inspiration your swift action isn't available on your turn.

![]() |

Oh, good point, I couldn't challenge this round.
And I had forgotten you already have Greater Magic Weapon.
We were thinking the extra attack was a better use of your Ki points, but if you would rather spend the ki on ignoring concealment and just get the Inspire Courage bonus, we can go with that.
And with only 5 rounds of performance left, there's no point in using Virtuoso.

Well the issue is I'm missing due to high AC and poor rolls on my part. Inspire adds a bigger bonus to hit.

Hey y'all, it's my birthday today AND I have to work late because of some tight deadlines. I've got plans after work (when I can actually leave) so what I'm getting at is: I won't be able to make time to post today. I apologize, and I'll post tomorrow for sure.

![]() |

Hope you managed to salvage the evening and enjoy your birthday!

Happy (belated) Birthday!

![]() |

Thanks for the birthday wishes! I gotta keep my posts short and sweet this week because I'm flying out of town Thursday night for the weekend and I have a big project at work I have to have done before I leave. And I've got things going on every night after work this week as well.
I'll try to post Thursday day sometime (and Wednesday if applicable), then I probably won't post again until Monday.

Gonna see what everyone else does before I act. I'll bring my laptop on my trip and try to post while I'm gone if I can.

Are we again in a situation where everyone is waiting for Tuwo to kill things while Tuwo is waiting for his allies to ID the monsters and maybe a buff?

![]() |

Sorry, I've been busy at work today. I'm not planning on performing this combat, I want to save my last few rounds for the final combat (assuming we'll recognize it when we see it...).

GM Xavier Kahlvet |

Okay. I'll be honest, I find it kinda ridiculous that it's taking us a week to get through a single round of combat. Like, I get waiting to see what other people do, but frankly it's getting kinda ridiculous. And I don't like to bot characters at this level because, frankly, everyone has so many shenanigans that I, as the person inexperienced with the characters, would be doing an injustice to them by trying to surmise what they would do.
Nevertheless, if, by this coming Tuesday (which will signify a week real-time since I started this round of combat), there are still players who haven't acted, then I will bot them, no matter how many there are. We're on the tail-end of this module and I don't want it to come to a screeching halt this far into it.

GM Xavier Kahlvet |

I did indeed gloss over the air walk running out, but I happen to know that Xanaphia keeps spell slots open to fill them as needed, so I just assumed that she spent 15 minutes praying to Sarenrae to get another communal air walk.

This would be a good turn for Bit of Luck. As I understand it by closing his eyes Tuwo ignores the images but they have 50% concealment. But he can spend 2 ki and a swift action to ignore total concealment.

Flips table! I give up! Zen archers are absurd!
No offense toward you, Tuwo, just the ridiculousness that is the zen archer having an answer for literally every situation.

GM Xavier Kahlvet |

I’m going to be at an all-day convention this coming Friday/Saturday, so I’m pretty sure that I’m not going to be able to post during that time.

GM Xavier Kahlvet |

Once again, I apologize if I was being lackluster during this module; I really did not want to run it because it is just so poorly written, but it's required to play in order to get to level 20 in PFS. I'm honestly just glad to have it done.

![]() |

It was a wild ride - Rinaldo ended with 3 rounds of performance remaining, which hasn't happened in at least 8 or 9 levels. :-)

GM Xavier Kahlvet |

Honestly, I artificially raised the challenge level by forcing you all to complete the entire scenario without resting once, just to see if you all could do it. Rinaldo was honestly the only one who was significantly affected by that artificial challenge raise.

![]() |

I was wondering if this was meant to be done across multiple days. It seemed like a LOT of encounters. I was nearly out of spells, too, which doesn't usually happen.

![]() |

Thanks all for the game. Shame I misunderstood the order of the needed modules to reach 20. On the plus side, Level 16 + the 95,000 gold will get Tuwo up to 34 wisdom. If you ever need a remorseless killing machine or one of my other Seekers with a bit more personality (Wizard 15, Bard 14) just let me know.

![]() |

Aw, I never even cast miracle. I still had a decent amount of resources left but that was mainly due to not needing to contribute to the DPR of most encounters, which saved me from using more spell slots to spontaneously cast more summons.
Anyway, thanks to the GM and my fellow Pathfinders!

GM Xavier Kahlvet |

Well, sometime soon (tomorrow in a perfect world) I will be starting recruitment for the Passing the Torch series. I'm going to be running two tables, one for subtier 17-18 and one for a lower subtier since I know most people don't have characters at that level. (I want to run at least one of the tables in Hard Mode, hopefully 17-18). You all are invited to sign up (Xanaphia already has a spot on the 17-18 table because we made a prior arrangement). Know, though, that if Tuwo (the character, not the player) signs up for that, it will be a hard no. Once again, I only allowed a zen archer at this table because I wanted to get through this poorly-written module as quickly as possible.
