Daisley Dogmar |
Daisley maintains direct eye contact with Nigel Aldain while handing over the items.
"Sarnia has rather understandable reasons for aggression against the Blakroses; it would seem the Blakros family delivered both slaves and the eldest daughter of each generation to the Onyx Alliance, which included Sarnia herself. She asks that the Society ends its association with the Blakros Museum."
Pirate GM |
Ambrus Valsin takes a moment to ponder the gravity of Sarnia Blakros and the gravity of the current situation.
"Clearly decisions will have to be made at levels above my head, but that conflict is likely to escalate. Do you think we should throw our weight behind our Blakros allies, or should we reconsider our position and not get dragged into their conflict?"
Ellismus the Blue |
"It is a family feud. We shouldn't touch this with a ten foot pole. Sir. We're not lapdogs for the Blakros. They need to hire their own guards or mercenaries for these deeds."
Gorf Repus |
"As much's it pains me ta say this, ah think we should help the Blakros folks. Sure, it's been a pain ev'ry time we git called t'that dang museum, they also been allies a'the Society for quite a while now, 'n we've gotten our own share o' good from th'rrangement. Ah don't think we should throw that 'way." Gorf thinks for a moment, then mutters "'Sides, ah think Zarta would be rather unhappy with me if ah did sumthin' to cut off her access to th' place and its treasures."
Nemis |
"I have to agree with Gorf. While I find it distasteful in general, it would be a severe loss if we did not."
Chambren |
"I agree with Gorf and Nemis, but with a caveat that the Blakros family ensures they never trade in slaves or daughters again. It has landed them in this state, and is frankly a vile business. But I feel like they are worthy of redemption, so let them have the chance to do so."
Daisley Dogmar |
"While I respect my associates, I'm afraid I must disagree with them. I don't believe access to the Blakros collection is sufficient reason to maintain an association with those who would steal from other cultures, put the lives of Absalom residents at risk, and trade in human life, including their very own daughters. I can't say I approve of the Onyx Alliance either, but there is no need for the Society to be affiliated with either group."
Ellismus the Blue |
Ellismus nods at Daisley, and spits on the ground in the direction of his other colleagues.
"Sure hope none of your daughters ever marry into the Blakros family lads... dunno how ye can sleep at night... ye must all have some impressive moral flexibility... to be fair, I used to be like that, doin' all kinds of debatable things for the Society. Now, I am not one for half measures and half-hearted efforts... must be 'cause I'm growin' old and more impatient with every year that passes..."
