Other than the silver dagger she apparently collected from Rexus, Kira can't really use any of the treasure we've gotten so far. The cloak of resistance is obviously good for anyone, but I'd vote for giving that to Lodoro to boost his will save.

![]() |

Baolo can use the silver morningstar and the cloak of elvenkind if no one else wants it. (Yes, a Cleric without the Trickery Domain focusing on Stealth)
Heresy! ... Sounds good, actually. I mean, those of us with access to Chaos and Trickery can hardly complain about people doing weird, unexpected things. :)
If folks have their eye on anything in particular, I don't mind crunching out the numbers for divvying stuff up. Rutilus, thanks for starting up a gear sheet, but it's a bit intense for me, so here's a link to a more bare-bones thing for everyone, if they don't feel like posting their wishlist directly to the thread: Loot!
It's a working document, so I'd try to clean it regularly (i.e., cash it out).
Pellius, would you care for the fancy shortbow? I think most of the rest of us with suitable proficiencies would keep an eye out for heavier ordnance. Also, does anyone actually want to hold on to one of the Thrune pendants?
No rush, obviously, on any of this stuff. Just offering to give the numbers a shot in due course.

Pellius Aulamaxa |

Pellius would have held onto one just for emergencies, so that he can claim to be a secret police officer if questioned.
The shortbow would be an upgrade for me, especially given the dice gods have said my HP should be lowish... but he wouldn't have just grabbed it for himself (he would have grabbed it with other things to carry back though).
Beyond the pendant, the only thing he claimed so far was the silver buttons. If anyone seriously objects he will share, but he will probably have them incorporated into a snazzy outfit later on if no one does.

Rutilus Rathgan |

Sorry I didn't post yesterday. Work got slammed with people trying to get things done before the fourth. I'll catch up and get a post out shortly.

Pellius Aulamaxa |

Know I am up... will post soon, its my birthday today. Not doing anything particularly special but spending some time with my family. Will be back in the a few hours.

Rutilus Rathgan |

Happy birthday, hope it's a good one

Thanks for letting us know, and I hope it goes well and as painlessly as it can! I've only seen that sort of thing at arm's length so far, when my parents moved, so I can imagine how stressful it must be.
Also, I’ll be travelling myself over the weekend into the middle of next week. I should be able to check in more or less as usual, but there might be a delay or two depending on when and where I might be caught beyond cell networks.

So, since Laria's suggesting that we go forth, foment rebellion, and seek out followers, I suppose we might want to think about the rules in the Player's Guide for running a rebellion? Thoughts?
I have a few ideas. In terms of the three suggested foci for the rebellion, my vote would be for Secrecy, naturally. :)
I also have a short list of officer roles that Adonara would be most interested in. In descending order: 1) Strategist, 2) Sentinel, 3) Recruiter (I guess, since there's six of us and most bonuses from multiple officers of the same role don't stack). Does anyone else have any preferences?

Kira Namfoodle |

Kira's officer roles, (also in descending order), would be Demagogue, Spymaster, Sentinel. Demagogue probably makes the most sense, given her high Charisma modifier and the importance of Loyalty checks.
I'm fine with Secrecy being our focus.

Rutilus Rathgan |

I'm working on re-familiarizing with the rebellion rules as its been awhile since I read them. As far as the foci, Rutilus would definitely push for secrecy as well. For the officer roles, Rutilus's High strength (+4) makes him best suited for Partisan. He does have good dex (+3) and decent con (+2), so he would probably make a decent Sentinel as well. As they don't go off stats he would work well as a strategist or recruiter.
In terms of straight numbers I guess it makes sense to make Rutilus the Partisan. I don't want to push other characters but if we are looking at straight numbers, Kira as Demagogue and Lodoro as Spymaster puts a 4 in each of the stats. Also looking at straight numbers Pellius or Adonara make the best Sentinel. Adonara gives straight +2 across the board while Pellius gives a 3 in Loyalty and Secrecy but a 1 in Security.
Again I don't want to push anybody into anything, I'm just an engineer and love to look at and play with numbers.

Baolo Halden |

Currently with highest mods being in Wisdom (+3, later +4 as his Wisdom increases) follows by Strength and Con (both +2, Strength continuing to increases as stats modify) I could do some good as Sentinel as I could use Wisdom to help boost Security or Constitution to boost Loyalty as needed. My campaign trait can help supplement those checks as well. He could also be a good Strategist if people would rather focus the currently highest stats into the stat focused roles.

Rutilus Rathgan |

Here is a Rebellion sheet someone made in google sheets. I believe it does all the calculations as long as you only edit the check boxes and the green fields

Pellius Aulamaxa |

Not looking at the part of the guide (at work, don't have access here) but from titles I would think that demagogue might make sense given I will be amping CHA over time to improve my spells and my bardic performance mumbo jumbo. Do any of the other roles value CHA?

Rutilus Rathgan |

Quick synopsis of the Roles:
Demagogue - Adds Con or Cha to loyalty check
Partisan - Adds Str or Wis to security check
Recruiter - Bonus on recruitment equal to character level
Sentinel - +1 bonus to secondary organization checks. Aid all checks for events (Con or Cha for loyalty, Str or Wis for Security, Dex or Int for Secrecy)
Spymaster - Adds Dex or Int to secrecy check
Strategist - Bonus rebellion action with +2 for any checks
So Recruiter and Strategist aren't tied to any one stat. Demagogue, Partisan, and Spymaster are all tied to a specific stat. Sentinels all time bonus isn't tied to a specific stat, but its event bonus will be looking at all 3 stats.
On a pure number point of view, Demagogue is between you and Kira. My assumption is both of you will be pumping your bonuses into Cha.

Lodoro Balbus |

I admit that I'd have preferred Loyalty as the Focus but I think I've already been outvoted :-). Thats fine, I can live with Secrecy unless I can get a bunch of people to switch sides :-)
As to role, mechanically I'm probably best as Sentinel (I've got decent or good Dex, Cha and Str) or spymaster. I'm good with either of those (I've also got good Cha but so do several others so I'll bow out of those roles)

![]() |

Ah, Lodoro, accepting the thankless task of keeping us sneaky types on the straight and narrow honest comparatively trustworthy as we work all the angles. ;)
Honestly, I think a LG person might be just the thing for a spymaster to make sure we don’t take advantage of the situation to exploit the information-gathering potential of our budding organization for personal gain. <.< >.> Not that we Calistrian courtesans would know anything about that. Perish the thought!
So, tentatively, how’s something like this sound:
Demagogue - Kira
Partisan - Rutilus
Recruiter - Pellius
Sentinel - Baolo
Spymaster - Lodoro
Strategist – Yours truly
Since he’s our resident diva, I kind of like the idea of the Silver Ravens starting off as maybe Pellius’ fan club, at least to anyone asking any awkward questions.
Alternatively, he and I could switch roles if strategy is more his thing. If only because the idea of Adonara recruiting strikes me as an amusing way of inviting Anita Bryant and Abrogail Thrune to kiss her sweet fanny all.
Just some ideas. I think we’re all big enough girls and boys to settle things in a civilized manner (dicing for it? sudden-death piquet?) if anyone feels more strongly about the role they’d like. Also, we could give folks who draw short straws dibs on the first couple of specialist teams we recruit.
Whew! Adonara should start a salon, hold negotiations more comfortably. :)

Pellius Aulamaxa |

I think that would work... at least for Pel... as he goes up in levels, he gets more fame and folks familiar with him... so would make an easier "source" of volunteers.

Rutilus Rathgan |

I'm good with that. I tentatively filled in the Rebellion sheet spreadsheet with that.

![]() |

Also, folks, I'm rubbish at numbers, at least where there are so many moving parts as X many items divided among 6 people, worth so much except when they're being converted to liquid currency, and so forth.
That said, assuming everyone's already spoken up about the mundane gear they want, and the magic, of the stuff we've found so far, and assuming we sell the rest, so folks can have a bit of fun on the town looking for equipment that meets their exacting requirements I think a very roughly fair distribution works out as follows:
1200 gp each to Kira, Lodoro, Pellius, and Rutilus, and then another 100 to Kira and 363.42 to Rutilus. (Though what's a few coppers between friends? :) ) That still leaves Adonara and Baolo a bit ahead, so we'll try to even things off in the next few encounters, and so on.
Disclaimer: You want an accountant, find an Abadaran, or one of those weirdo Kalistocrats. ;)

Pellius Aulamaxa |

A little less for Pellius would be fair, given he has knicked a few things (the silver buttons, one of the medalions, the composite shortbow, and the mwk chain shirt)... as well as at least a few sets of clothing from the boxes.
Also, if anyone wants his old regular chain shirt or shortbow, he would be more than willing to hand them down.

Kira Namfoodle |

Kira will continue the charade of the inspection for as long as is reasonable without Kossarani getting suspicious. Given the plan we came up with earlier, her goal is to give the stealthy group enough time to sneak in the back and free the prisoners while all the thugs are in the front.
GM, do you have a particular way you want to handle that? It's an issue of timing as well as roleplaying, which makes it trickier to deal with.

Pellius Aulamaxa |

So Pellius is picking up what Kira is putting down, and attempting to have a spectacle that will both provide a lot of noise and keep everyone awake's attention. Sorry for volunteering you, Lodoro... you just probably have the best chance of the three of us to beat one of them in single combat.

Kira Namfoodle |

I'm interested, but I'm not familiar with that system so I'd need some hand-holding. (The mythos I am very familiar with, as my long-suffering wife and many hours of Eldritch Horror can attest.)

Kira Namfoodle |

Is there a link to the rules/character creation guide?

Kira Namfoodle |

Heading to work so no time to create anything right now, but after a quick skim I’m leaning towards a doctor. I’ll have something more solid either later today or tomorrow.

Kira Namfoodle |

I was assuming we met up outside the Salt Works where we did our planning. However we didn't specify a meeting place, so the GM could always rule we don't know where to meet the others.

![]() |

Just posting in gameplay, I tried to add a bit that I thought might let everyone regroup, hopefully without being too glib about it.
I guess this is the sort of thing we might want to remember to plan for, next time. *Strategist hangs her head in shame.* ;)
I suppose we could dream up a bunch of places for future use? Things like Baolo’s family’s inn, for one, and the coffeehouse is a fine default, and very much the sort of place that Adonara would hang out at regularly.
In character, though, most recently, even though it certainly wasn’t a question of sending them directly to the Wasp’s Nest, Adonara would probably freak out about sending a half-dozen scared fugitives to take tea upstairs all at once, while working the possibilities out in the middle of the sting. But as a general go-to option, she would have no objection to holding court / a little seditious salon at Laria’s.
Also, GM, I noticed you rolled for upkeep and notoriety. I’m not sure how you want to handle our little rebellion, but does that mean we Ravens should be thinking about plotting rebellion actions and such, for this round, and you’ll let us know if there’s an event for us to take of, and when the next cycle of upkeep/activity/event comes round?

Rutilus Rathgan |

I updated the notoriety on the rebellion sheet. I didn't see a spot for upkeep so I didn't make any change there. When you say we gain six followers, is that members or supporters?
The sheet is here

Pellius Aulamaxa |

HP: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
HP: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Better. 5 more HP for me, bringing me to 18. Will work on the rest today (work is somewhat busy today so probably won't be until I get home).

Kira Namfoodle |

Hit Points: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Hit Points: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Apparently the universe really wants her to only get 4 hit points this level.

Rutilus Rathgan |

Hit Points: 1d10 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
Hit Points: 1d10 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Looks like I'm gaining 10hp. Should be a fairly simple level up for me. I gain 1d6 of sneak attack damage.

![]() |

hp roll: 1d8 ⇒ 4 hp roll, bis: 1d8 ⇒ 5 Now to think about the fiddly bits: too many feats to balance against one another, even with a fairly good idea of where Adonara probably wants to take them.
@ our impeccably patient GM: Understood about the rebellion events: do we get our own actions on top, in which case? Given the traits a bunch of us chose, I'm wondering, if Pellius wants to spend some time working on translating the Silver Raven dossier, some of the rest of us can, oh, maybe spend the evening gossiping or whatever to start recruiting still more supporters and/or a specialized team.
I imagine we might conceivably combine the two? I mean, if we settle in to start translating in the coffeehouse, Adonara could chat up curious onlookers about the awesome things the Silver Ravens have done and will do to canvas for more support. Meanwhile, if we have a sort of team in mind, those of us not linguistically inclined could start to look for such folk?
Just an idea. I'll post in-character in gameplay later this evening to see how everyone feels about all sorts of things. :)
