We never made a knowledge check about this dog's regeneration, right? Pearl has alchemist fire but probably doesn't know to use it. Otherwise she could dump it on the dog and pule could coup de grace.
What would be the action to push the dog off the ship?

It’s a knowledge (arcana) check to identify. Considering y’all have seen the effects of the regeneration by now, I’d say it makes sense for you to try things that commonly work against regeneration, aka fire and acid.
Dealing with downed regenerators isn’t particularly dangerous or exciting, so I’m happy to lean on the side of generosity to the players.
