Thank you all for your prayers for my little Scampers. He had a check up today. He has lost an oz. from the last time he was weighted two weeks ago tomorrow. He is still hungry and demanding attention. You would not know he is sick by the way he acts. The steroid is one that I give in the ear once a day.
His doctor says that the treatment can help to give him a few more weeks or months or maybe even a year. We do not know what the tumors are since there has been no testing on them but he has a follow up in 2 weeks to see how the treatment is going.

The GI tract lymphoma was awful. He lost so much weight and couldnt use the litter box. My little boy. Wednesday is what would have been his 14th birtday.

I got a new flamepoint kitten on Friday. My other flamepoint and he are fascinated with each other and want to play. The baby is only like 2.5 months old and is recovering from surgery so I am keeping them apart for the most part for a bit more time for him to heal and get a little older and heavier.

He was demanding this morning to be let out of the bathroom to go and play with Latte. They were running around the house but I put him back after a bit so he could rest and to keep Latte from getting over stimulated and in his excitement maybe hurting him.

Our internet was out for a day and a half. Someone cut cables trying to install new cables.

I'm safe but only for now. It's possible there will be another round in a couple of months, when some division budgets get trimmed.

This has been stressful. We went from 500 laid off (that's just in our city/metro area) to 2400+ with almost no warning.

Geez, that's definitely stressful!

I'm in my 50's. Age discrimination is a real thing. On top of that, I am in an industry that has been getting hammered for the last couple of years.

It's never a good time to lose a job, but now would be especially bad.

I qualify for retirement under the rule of 75--I have been here a long time--so if I am laid off I (involuntarily) retire instead, which means I get a retirement package instead of a severance package. That's not a financial windfall or anything, but it would give me more time to figure out the next steps.

She had pneumonia in July that has not yet really cleared up. They are going to have to drain the lung and culture to see what is going on.

I survived the next wave of layoffs, though one of my co-workers was caught up in it.

There is potentially one more wave coming, but indicators are that the biz group I am will be impacted either very lightly or not at all.
