I had a chance to take a closer look at my chronicle sheet, and I had a question about what was/wasn't crossed off.
Shouldn't the "Expanding Trade Network" and "News of the Diamond Sage" boons be crossed off, since we're not members of the appropriate factions? And what does the "Crisis Averted" boon actually do?
We apparently didn't discover any of the items listed. That's okay, but where were they? Were they hidden in the basement somewhere? It's a little frustrating if every single available item was hidden in a place the scenario encouraged us to leave as quickly as possible.

On the note of faction, I wouldn't worry about jumping. Matter of fact is PF1 society is coming to a close once PF2 is released in august. So all factions are in a way retiring. And you are still eligible to play all the previous scarab sage focused scenarios.
On the note for chronicle boons, typically faction boons that are crossed out are written into the title of the boon. For example,News of the Diamond Sage (Osirion faction), would clearly be only an Osirion/scarab sage faction benefit. So what do these boons do for other faction members? Well it's just a documentation of achievement. Future scenarios may refer to those boons, If a character has completed xx scenario and has the xx boon... then....
On discovered items, there was a limited charge wand of CLW that would be a reward for siding Temel. And the other two were hiding in other parts of the basement/inn which we didn't go to. But I really wouldn't worry about it, most of the time, you're buying what you really want from your fame score anyway. Rarely do folks get stuff off the sheet unless it is a special chronicle item.

There will be plenty of people still running PF1 content for quite some time, there just won't be new made. That said, there are 10 seasons worth of scenarios, plus APs, Modules, etc. Though the event they're running, 10-00 Hao Jin Cataclysm or something like that, sounds pretty final as far as the story goes. ;) But that's purely speculation based on the name.
Well put GM, except if the chronicle happens to give you access to an item you know you want early (Cloak of Resistance from the Confirmation anyone?)
On the note of boons such as Expanding Trade Network, if we decided to change factions later by paying the prestige cost, would we gain the perk associated with that boon for day job rolls?

If you did, yes you would! As long as the boon wasn’t crossed out , and you meet the requirements, Boon is good to go.
But yeah, don’t be stressed about pf1 society ending. Many on the flaxseed lodge is going to keep running pf1 till kingdom come. With 200 over scenarios not including modules/APs there is just so much you that you’ll still have a lifetime of experience.
