Game Master Solar27

Map of current fight
This is a Warhammer 40K story set on the world of Skyfall, where 5,000 years ago demons and angels warred in the heavens and broke the sky. Now pieces of that war rain down upon the land and you are the Scavanger teams sent to reclaim those pieces of lost technology that might survive, from an area called the Skybreak.

This is your life and it's not an easy one, the Skybreak takes as much as it gives but it gave you hope of better times.

At least it did, until they came

Davien looks to the others, and, noting they seem to have things well in hand, moves quickly to the burning psyker and tries to salvage anything that seemed useful, or might provide information on this group that attacked them before it was burned away by the flames.

do I need any rolls for that?

No but combat is still on going

I understand, Davien just doesn't want to risk losing intel due to the fire, and the others seem to be wrapping up the two remaining folk, both IC and OOC haha. Though, if he can get there and check while still casting a power, he will. Or, If Davien could tell that the fire isn't bad enough to destroy things yet, I figure he would risk the time to help. I'll go ahead and roll either way.

dominate1-60F: 1d100 ⇒ 50 will start using F(fettered) and UF (unfettered) for ease of reading.

should take him alive, he may be able to tell us something useful. Davien remarks to the others, sneering at the man before finishing rifling through the psykers hopefully not too burned pockets.

Davien finds a staff and two books, one bound in wood the other in some kind of leather.

Read the Wooden book:

Make a willpower (+0) test or gain 1 insanity point.
In future let me know if your reading more of this book and you'll learn more information with linguistics rolls (with a +20 if you learn High Gothic)

The book is called the Lectitio Divinitatus and it postulated the worship of the Emperor of Mankind as a divine being, the one, true god of humanity.
It appears to be written in a different form of Gothic than your familiar but you can glean general details about it though the specifics are beyond you

Read the Leather book:

Make a willpower (+0) test or gain 1 corruption point.
In future let me know if your reading more of this book and you'll learn more information with Cryptology rolls

It looks like a treatises on psykers, witchcraft and sorcery but it seems to be in some kind of code.
It will take some time to decode it.

The Minion resists for a moment and then falls to the ground clutching his head, his truncheon clattering beside him

Ogryn

Dunc looks confused at the enemy, but decides to just pick up the man. "You be good now."

Duncan, restrain the man, Davien says to the large ogryn.

Ogryn

Duncan looks at the man in his hands and then looks at Davien. "K... how I do?"

Medic. FP: 0/1, Wounds 9/9. TB: 3. Armour: 4.

Krevlor leaves explaining or helping Dunc to someone else while he focuses on Notch. He starts muttering and cursing. "I'm done the stitches and bandaged the wound sites but yeah theres not a hell of a lot I can do. Times going to be a big factor."

"Anyone else need putting back together?"

Jak takes the wooden book and opens it, scanning the first few pages.

Willpower vs 37: 1d100 ⇒ 66.
One point of insanity taken.

Jak shakes his head slightly, "It will require more study. It seems to be a religious text espousing the veneration of an Emperor of Mankind as the worshiped divinity. If you have no objection, I will continue to decipher the message held herein."

Learning more will take a good days of study and you have more pressing issues.
I'm also doing Duncan's strength roll for grapples to speed this up

Male Human Tech-Priest Enginseer | Wounds: 13/13 | Armor rating: (Body 6/Head 4/Arms 6/Legs 4) | Fate: 3/3 |

Once again, Jak has to brace himself against the nearly physical discomfort of speaking in words and sentences that Duncan will be able to follow. With slow effort, Jak replies to the huge man, "Maybe, Dunc. Don't know if Emperor in book is same as our Emperor. Can't read all inside book."

To anyone skilled in reading the body language of the Enginseers, Jak nearly vomits after that broken and tattered excuse for a sentence.

Male Human Tech-Priest Enginseer | Wounds: 13/13 | Armor rating: (Body 6/Head 4/Arms 6/Legs 4) | Fate: 3/3 |

As the bullets tear through the night, Jak spins away from the prisoner to take cover behind a tree.

"K. Ya read me night." Dunc smiles at the thought of a new bed time story.
