Skyfall- An Only war story

Game Master Solar27

Map of current fight
This is a Warhammer 40K story set on the world of Skyfall, where 5,000 years ago demons and angels warred in the heavens and broke the sky. Now pieces of that war rain down upon the land and you are the Scavanger teams sent to reclaim those pieces of lost technology that might survive, from an area called the Skybreak.

This is your life and it's not an easy one, the Skybreak takes as much as it gives but it gave you hope of better times.

At least it did, until they came

Notch tries to by pass the security but only succeeds in changing the message to Access denied. The commisaar has been informed

While he's doing this Duncan simply walks up and rips the door off it's hinges.

Inside you find 5 suits of imperial guardsmen armour, 5 shotguns loaded with Amputator shells (and 1 spare clip) and 5 photovisors

As you move on the flickering lights go out. Lucky with you new photovisors your able to continue through the dark and winding corridors.
As you near the com tower you see a slumps skeleton, wearing the rotting remains of a uniform. Above it, carved into the wall is an eight pointed star.
In it's hand is an ancient laspistol.

Medicae (+30) to determine cause of death:

It died hundreds of years ago from a shot to the head.
It looks self inflicted

Above the star the words "Samus is all around you" are carved into the wall

You are one floor below the com tower
Up the next flight of stairs you hear the guttural voices of the mutants

Awareness at +10:

There's a simple trip wire on the stairs.
It looks like a crude grenade is attached to it

@Davien in this case yes

Davien would try to help by use of some simple telekinesis to help maneuver the grenade around carefully, and from a distance.

Its a simple "cantrip" type thing, and I don't think we want to yeet it across the ship atm so assail likely won't help haha. Anything you want me to toll?

The target suffers 1d10 ⇒ 3 WS and 1d10 ⇒ 9 BS Damage, and anything carried in the hand is destroyed. If this is an explosive such as a hand grenade, it goes off—messy (use result 9 instead).

If anyone of them was carrying a Stikk Bomb in hand.
With a mighty bang the arm is blasted from the target’s body, killing the target instantly in a rain of blood droplets. In addition, if the target was carrying a weapon with a power source in his hand (such as a power sword or chainsword) then it explodes, dealing 1d10 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15 Impact Damage to anyone within two metres.

Or conversly... However, in order to ensure that combat does not bog down too much, when a low level NPC (a faceless soldier or minion, usually an unnamed NPC not central to the story plot) suffers Righteous Fury, he is simply slain instead. This allows for faster paced combat, and also “lucky shots” on the part of the PCs.

So, they could all just be dead due to Ogryn... Just saying.
