It also says I can move it within the area of the spell though, maybe it makes sense for it to dodge around a bit? I guess it's too late to edit the post but I'll get rid of 5 of those things

Its the latter, but it sees when its abilities fail and can learn.
Its also funny that Nik choose to make an illusion of an elemental. Being on the Outlands you don't have access to the Ethereal plane, and thus the Inner Planes. To summon an elemental Nik would have to have a spell key, which is an additional a thing he has to do to make a spell work that wouldn't normally work. This is something that you can research and may add to the casting time. Even with a spell key there maybe more subtle effects.
But since not-a-beholder doesn't have know planes, it doesn't know that.

Summoning is almost always affected by the plane you're on. You are only able to call creatures from the plane you're on or neighboring planes. The Outlands borders all the Outer Planes and the Astral. But not the Prime Material, Ethereal, or Inner Planes. The Outlands for the most part is very forgiving for summons, but elementals are the one thing that you need a spell key to summon.

I find myself wishing I had that sweet shield that reflected eye beams on Baldurs Gate 2. Minsc basically cleared that whole dungeon by himself with the rest of my crew just hanging out in the back and talking smart.

I only ever hit once with a good, full, mounted charge with a Ghost Rider.
Crit too. Did less than that cause I was only level two but it chunked the bad guy pretty good.

The charger cavalier archetype assumes a centaur but accepts any tauric. Centaurs have a hoof attack and bariaurs have a horn attack, so the abilities are adjusted accordingly. Here's a link to the charger archetype.

speaking of nonlethal damage, if you manage to give a creature nonlethal damage equal to their maximum HP, then all nonlethal they get after that is converted to lethal xD
So if you accidentally do their 2*maxhp+1 in one shot, even if it's all nonlethal, they're still bleeding out xD
