Seeing no further sales coming, Dibbler trundles down the road, announcing that new nutritional opportunities are available for the meager sum of 3 sp in loud voice every few steps.
I'll post more later once everyone has a moment to move their token to where they want to be.

Andolyn leaves her helm by the fire and joins the others in the office. "We're aiding you directly? That's not nearly as common as crypt delving. Andolyn Featheredbow, at your service."

Venture-Captain Istivil Bosk |

"Pleasure's mine, Andolyn." *koff!*
“As I was saying to Hosser, the dwarf who just left was Brandur Clovesh, a sergeant in Daggermark’s infantry. Please excuse his brevity. He’s taking a big risk to help me out of a pretty dire situation, the same situation that led me to request your aid. One of our local agents, a gnome named Timinic, has been exploring and surveying the sewer complexes beneath Daggermark. *koff!* I made sure to clear his activities with every official possible so we wouldn’t draw unwanted attention from the Assassin’s Guild or the Poisoner’s Guild, which as you know run the city behind the scenes. To my knowledge we’ve stayed in the Guilds’ good graces, but somehow Timinic’s mission ran afoul of--” A fit of coughing interrupts Bosk mid-sentence, and he begins gasping and clutching his chest. His tumbler shatters as it falls from his hand to the stone floor. Then, the venture-captain collapses.

While in her social identity, when the masked maiden is exposed to mortal peril (such as when combat starts), she must succeed at a Will save at the same DC or be compelled to enter her vigilante identity as soon as she can get out of sight to do so.
From what I can tell, Andolyn is not in mortal peril herself, but should a threat to her life become known, then I'll roll the will save. Does that work for you, GM? My turn depends on your ruling.

The World's Most Interesting GM |

As far as she can tell, Andolyn herself is not in mortal peril, so no Will save needed at this point.

Andolyn will approach the venture captain and attempt to discern what's happened to the man.
"Can you speak? Tell us, what is happening?"

Misread GM post as 'poison... table' not 'potion' - amending action:
Janus casts 'detect magic' to spot the potion amongst the items on the table, then points it out. "Hosser, that vial there, feed it to Bosk!"
Janus rises from his seat.
"Is that dwarf still here?!" Janus shouts through the open door. "Stop him! He is likely a Poisoner!"

Hosser's eye widen as his old friend suddenly collapses. Was it a stroke? Had his heart given out? But no, the venture captain had been poisoned.
I believe its a move action to grab something, and its a full round to pour a potion down someone's throat. If the potion is within Hosser's grasp he'll pick it up and start pouring it down his throat. If not, he'll move to the potion and pick it up

The World's Most Interesting GM |

Janus casts 'detect magic' to spot the potion amongst the items on the table, then points it out.
Detect magic notes the presence of several magical auras in the vicinity of the cluttered table, but not with the clarity needed to 'point it out' on the first round. Janus needs to concentrate--if only 'certain people' would stop kicking the damn table in their thrashing agony. Some people, sheesh!

The 'bag' hides under the chair, ready to snap at any enemy who approaches Bosk.
Do you have a rules reference for a small (or tiny) imaginary reptile with a 10' reach bite attack?
And define "enemy". It might be important if anyone decides to get close to Bosk.

![]() |

Yup.
Janus Too is a Figment Familiar. Figment Familiars gain Eidolon evolutions from level 3. Although it has never been clarified (to my knowledge) whether you apply the APG or the Unchained Eidolon evolutions, I intend to use the Unchained ones, as far as they make sense. In any event, Reach is identical in both.
The dwarf caiman familiar appears in a number of sources, including Ultimate Wilderness. It is a Small sized creature. Wikipedia says an adult Dwarf Caiman weighs 6 to 7 kilos (about 13 to 15 pounds), a comfortable weight for Janus to carry without reaching as much as Medium encumbrance.
Janus gains a dwarf caiman familiar from the Crocodile domain. He gets this domain from his Green Faith Marshal archetype.
Enemy would be an unrecognised person bearing drawn arms, excepting someone showing a wayfinder or other obvious pathfinder emblem like the glyph of the open road. Janus Too has INT 7 - so he's smarter than your average nagaji paladin :)

Sirius is somewhat aghast. The Cut-Me-Own-Throat (or was it Lop-Me-Own-Hand-Off) Dibbler he knew would at least have had the common decency to make something up. "Well then," He counters "I must ask: Do you have a brothe-"
Then a small, harder-to-detect fragment of Hell breaks loose inside the manor.
"Ah, I believe that would be the sound of a game sprouting a foot. Toodles!"
Double-move as shown, I guess. Not sure how much help I could be with this anyway.

The items seem to be mostly maps, writing implements, and cartographer's tools.

Janus continues concentrating on his divination.
"Our spell will take a few more seconds to reveal the potion's location. Give Bosk antitoxin now."
Janus removes a small vial from his belt, and holds it out towards Sirius as he takes a step towards the venture captain.

Janus removes a small vial from his belt, and holds it out towards Sirius as he takes a step towards the venture captain.
"Uh...okay," Replies a slightly whiplashed Sirius as he takes the vial and does his best to administer it to the twitching man on the floor.
"You're all witnesses," He proclaims with an eye to the others as he does so. "If *this fellow* dies, you all saw *that fellow* GIVE ME the vial when I'd *just entered the room*! I mean, this is Daggermark, you can't be too careful...."

"Why would somebody poison you, venture captain? What's going on?" Andolyn then turns her attention to the others. "There's obviously not a potion on this table, somebody go check other rooms. This is the Daggermark house, he's got to have though of that."
Andolyn, deciding her speed is too slow, will continue to apply first aid.

Hosser cradles the man's head, and whispers prayers to the Balm Bringer. His restorative touch wouldn't cure whatever ailed his venture captain. His skill in mundane healing was lacking, but it was all he had unless his allies could find the Venture Captain's desk.
"Look for his personal study, if its anywhere, its there." Hosser said, in a moment of inspiration.

I'd also like to know if Hosser would think that the Venture Captain is any of the following: staggered, fatigued, sickened, shakened or dazed

The World's Most Interesting GM |

None of those conditions, Hosser, but see my spoiler for Andolyn above.
Jurmo, the door opens on an office.
On his turn, Janus notes the precise locations of several party members magical items (who might still be in the spell's area of effect) as well as one under a stack of scroll cases on the table. X marks the spot.

A grey-bearded man in flowing blue robes and a long but well-kept grey beard barges into the room. "Venture Captain Bosk, what's all the commo--VILLAINS, WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO THE CAPTAIN?!" Brandishing his staff his glares about the room at the bevy of strange characters surrounding the choking Bosk.

Yes, it is a small silver vial with a screw on lid. Picking it up reveals it has some liquid inside.

"There! That is the potion, be quick and give it to Bosk!"
Janus points to the vial on the table, next to Janus Too.

![]() |

Hosser makes a small step to the side and grabs the vial. Knowing every second counts, he holds it out to Andolyn.
Five foot step, move action to grab it. In the rules of this game, I believe its better for Andolyn to five foot step, grab it and apply the potion to him, unless her grabbing also counts as a move action. I don't know, can I spend my standard action uncorking the thing so its easier for someone else to apply it?

The World's Most Interesting GM |

Picking up or otherwise manipulating an item (in your own space or one you can reach), does count as a move action. That leaves Hosser a standard action left (free 5-foot move, and a move to retrieve the vial). Feeding someone a potion is a standard action and usually includes removing the potion's cap or stopper. Andolyn is probably prone while supporting Bosk's head (sitting usually counts a prone for most matters and in most circumstances).

Jurmo assumes those behind her are managing, she casts detect magic and scans the office.

OK, how about this for a plan? GM, will this work, action-wise? I'm looking to get the potion down Bosk's neck this round, and I think this might be faster than Andolyn doing it?
Janus Too scurries under the table again 5' step, free, picks up the potion vial move action and hands it to Janus move action.
Janus then forces the potion down Bosk's neck. Full round action.
I'm hoping that 'handing off' the potion vial is a move action for one creature/person, not for two.

The World's Most Interesting GM |

Yes, that's fine. Though Hosser is actually still holding it out into that square, so when Janus Two snaps for it....
