"Have it your way." Knowing full well that this could be his last effort, Willem grips his sword hilt and stares down the creature. This last moment needed to be the end of it.

Willem boldly steps up, leaving a bloody trail in his wake, and delivers a hearty strike to the pukwudgie. Her defenses compromised by the witch, the cavalier deals a critical blow, opening a savage gash in Marigana's side. Unfortunately, Willem's strong follow through with the blow drives one of Marigana's quills into his arm. Willem pulls back his arm, looks at the quill sticking out of his forearm and chuckles with a bitter shake of his head before his eyes roll up in his head and he collapses to the ground, unconscious.

Actually, you don't need improved uncanny dodge, just uncanny dodge, and a standard rogue (and unchained rogue) does get uncanny dodge at 4th level. But Kiaru is a Scout archetype Rogue, and Scout's Charge replaces Uncanny Dodge. Please take your actions for the round.

Marigana disappears in a barrage of snowballs, and when she emerges, a number of snowballs are stuck to her quills. She shakes herself and the snowballs crumble. She glares at the witch.

Kiaru: spring attack doesn't allow you to pass through her square, but there is room to move around her. I've adjusted your position for the full 30' of movement. (I'm not seeing anything indicating more than 30' movement). It's essentially irrelevant, but still...

Kiaru's attack staggers Marigana. In a final act of spite, she takes a 5' step away from Kiaru and fires 2 quills. Both of them hit the rogue and he ends up staggered as well. And with that, Marigana collapses to the ground unconscious.

FYI: This is not a full attack action, pukwudgies can shoot 2 quills as a standard action
quill attack: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (17) + 14 = 31quill damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
quill attack: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (15) + 14 = 29quill damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

We're still technically in initiative, because Kiaru still owes me some Fortitude saves. At this point, it is 4 of them: 2 from the previous round, 2 from this round. Please roll them. Depending upon how he fares with these saves, we may be stuck in initiative. I'd roll them for him, but this is con damage, and could be lethal. Good luck.

Kiaru, did you include the +1 to hit & damage from Kaepora's Advice? It doesn't look like you did: if that's the case, Marigana would've been knocked to -1 by your attack, which means she doesn't get her last desperate attack. Which means you're at
-35hp, and only owe me 2 Fortitude saves v. poison.

Actually, I'm not certain where you're getting the +13 to hit, i.e. BAB+4, Dex+6, +1 enchantment should equal +11 (would've been +12 with Advice). But that doesn't matter. You hit regardless.
But your damage mod on your profile is correct, i.e. it should be +10, i.e. +1 enchantment, 1-1/2xDex=9. So with Advice, that's +11 dmg, and indeed, Marigana drops from your attack!

To speed this up (since big baddie's down and we're wrapping up:) it's DC:18 Fortitude save. If Kiaru succeeds with 18+ on his first 2 Fortitude saves, we're done. If not, Kiaru will have to keep rolling and and we'll deal with scaling dc and reducing Con, and the bonus from Ingrid's heal check (and if anyone has antitoxin, etc).
TO be clear, the first 2 saves were last round. If either of those fail, your second round save also cannot be boosted (that's the round you put Marigana down, and everyone else already acted.) Then we start with desperate measures.

So Kiaru, please
roll 2 fortitude saves If both have results 18+, we're done.
If NOT, roll another 5 or 6 fortitude saves, and we'll sort it out. (Unfortunately, it's 2 saves to cure this, so you're hoping the first 2 saves succeed).

Since these are 4 rolls he has to make before I could even consider helping, I'm assuming healing him now will do very little to help. Unless GM permits it.

Correct, although it's only 2 initial rolls, thanks to Kaepora's Advice.

- Kiaru's initial 2 rolls should have happened the previous round.
- If he fails on either of those, he'll have a second round where he makes a save, and that's the round he dropped Marigana.
- The third round he'll get a +4 competence bonus from Ingrid's heal check--and we're out of combat/she's not threatened, so she can just take ten every round on her heal check to help him get that +4 competence every round starting in round 3.
If someone has antitoxin they want to give him, he'd be able to take it by round 3 as well. He has a cloak of resistance +1. If anyone has a way to get a better resistance bonus? I doubt it, but just laying out what might help.
--being ready to start using Cure Light Wounds on him if he keeps failing, so that the con damage combined with actual damage doesn't kill him (we'll retro-apply cure lights starting in round 3, as necessary.)
--Party has benefit of the doubt for applying stuff to save him if necessary. Whatever equipment, skills or magic you might have. But we won't burn consumables until it's necessary.

Arakyrial has Antitoxin and also a Shining Wayfinder that can used to cast Protection from Evil once per day which would grant a +2 resitance bonus. Not sure if the poison counts as evil since it came from a (presumably) evil source or if it is its own thing. Arakyrial is 3 (I think?) rounds of movement away so it may take awhile for him to get back in time.

1. sorry i didnt add +1/+1
2. using spring attack i move 10 feet (where is kaepora now) make my attack and move 20 around corner to get a best place for gain flank on next attack and if he moves more tan 5 feet ant enter in my threat area gain a AoO for combat reflexes.

Meanwhile, back to our current race against death: Since both quills would've struck at the same time (i.e. one standard attack), the initial 2 saves would've been simultaneous, so the -2 penalty for failing the first time will not apply to the second save, so Kiaru succeeded in resisting the second poison quill (i.e. no penalty applied then, nor on subesquent saves, nor is the duration extended by 50%).
For those wondering what I'm babbling about, See Poison Rules--scroll down to "How Do Poisons Work?"

We'll assume Kaepora uses Willem's CLW wand on Willem the next round, bare minimum he's 0HP and disabled. He's fine.

As Willem awakens, he says: "What about the Potions of Neutralize Poison that Ignizzi gave us?"

After a collective groan from the party, Kiaru immediately pulls his potion out and guzzles it down, but it doesn't manage to stop the poison, and he doubles over in pain. Ingrid pulls out her potion then returns to ministering to Kiaru's poisoned wounds. Kiaru desperately drinks Ingrid's potion, and feels the burning sensation subside in his innards. By the time Arakyrial & Grax return from their 2 minute jog (fear lasted 10 rounds), Everyone is back on their feet, and ready to search the place. You give it the ol' pathfinder-the-crap outta the caves, and discover a magical belt, a magical morningstar, some other minor loot....and an unconscious orange-haired gnome with multiple quill injuries. You force the unconscious Diijit to drink the last neutralize poison potion and the gnome's color immediately improves. While she's still unconscious from the damage to her constitutional fortitude, she'll live. You get everyone back on their feet and limp home.

Riddywhipple thanks you for helping him rid the Sanos Forest of the Plague of Marigana. Any arcane casters with a chaotic bent will like this chronicle...

Ignizzi is relieved you've recovered her assistant Diijit and dealt with the undead menace. She even offers one of her highest compliments: "You're not the most useless Pathfinder Agents I've ever met..."

You return to the Grand Lodge and Sheila Heidmarch says, "Well it took you long enough. This was a simple delivery mission, what was the delay?"

Con Dmg: 2d3 ⇒ (1, 2) = 3

Neutralize Poison Roll: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17
Neutralize Poison Roll: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18

The dangers of PbP, losing threads from a month or more ago--i.e. even I forgot about the Neutralize Poison potions Ignizzi gave you. Kiaru, you don't have to worry about the Con damage. You'll be able rest up during the downtime between scenarios and be fully restored: it's ability damage, not drain.

And with that, my tender victims, you have managed to survive The Sanos Abduction. Battered, bruised and poisoned, but wiser and richer. I should be able to get chronicles out tonight, and report the scenario then. I hope you enjoyed yourselves and felt suitably challenged.

Anyone with a Dayjob roll (or a re-roll available that they want to use on Dayjob), please hop over on the discussion thread and make it right away. I head out of town first thing Friday morning, so if I don't have that dayjob roll by tonight, your chronicle will be delayed until Monday night. Thanks.

How Spring Attack works: your movement and attack does not provoke attacks of opportunity from the target of your attack only (irrelevant here, but important to understand for future usage--i.e. other bad guys could make an AoO if your movement provokes). You must move at least 10 feet before attacking, and you cannot start adjacent to the target. You can take any sort of path for your movement, as long as you don't start adjacent to target. BUT, per CRB:

Quote:
You can't move through a square occupied by an opponent unless the opponent is helpless.

It's also worth noting that you can actually make your attack from anywhere along your path of movement, even a square occupied by an ally. And of course, you can't use Vital Strike with Spring Attack (both of them being that "special" kinda action.

However, when we arrived, we found Ignizzi in a state of disarray. One of her assistants had abandoned her, hampering her continued research. Unfortunately, the assistant had awakened a zombie virus. With the research in peril, we set off to dispatch the zombies and return the wayward assistant."

"Luckily, a great dragon warrior joined us to lead against the zombie queen. With him leading us, we stormed the queen's lair. In a pitched battle, we took on the zombie horde and destroyed them. The queen proved relentless, but in the end she too fell. The rescued assistant realized the error of her way and the value of Ignizzi's research. She has returned and the research now continues." He ruffles his feathers and seems supremely proud of himself.
